  • takes go up so we can afford tax cuts for the rich and endless wars. we stop those healthcare is a drop in the bucket compaired to that. He also isn't doing a goverment takeover but creating regulation which is a joke. The only regulation is nin the media to make him look like a comunnist and drive the political spectrum further to the right.

  • If you get sick and then have to also battle your health insurance company to cover your bills, you may suddenly change your opinion. That is, if you ever change your opinion, which I doubt.

  • Sorry, this was the one video I had to rate one star, because you didn't make any cogent argument. The length of a health care bill is irrelevant to whether or not it constitutes a takeover of the entire industry. The content of it is what's important.

  • You guys are all selfish.

And hey, if you are so against your government running, organizing and regulating things you shouldn't be in a democracy, really.

  • Isn't democracy the solution to such a problem? Or are you assuming it's the cause? Clarify your point please.

  • I don't live in a democracy, I live in a Republic, and if I wanted the government to organize and control things then I would live in a People's Republic. I am selfish? I know everyone has to get covered but the way congress is trying to do it isn't right

  • @gravebaiting If a republic wasn't democratic, then it wouldn't be a republic. A republic is a modern form of indirect democracy in that we vote for people to represent us rather than voting on the issues directly, but while it's not direct democracy it is still classified under the umbrella term democracy.

  • @4gl2u indeed a republic is classified under democracy as voting is involved, i was trying to address the point that many people simply refer to it as a democracy while trying to be specific when that is incorrect

  • No, no one help Lee understand heath care. leave him and USA in the hole there made for themselves, everyother westen counky has heathcare, even I have a medicare card in which I can go to a doctor, get cheaked, and pay it off with my taxes, sounds hard? of cause not,

USA is just behind the time, still hoding on to the slow failing captilaset ways of the past. lets just watch the fall of the USA form the side lines.

  • @Rowaman Every country has healthcare, including the US. What you mean to say is that every other western country has subsidized healthcare, which translates to you being granted the privilege to pay more for a poorer service. The only thing the United States is behind on is a race to the unemployment line, and the fastest way they're going to catch up is by imitating social democracies like Greece.

  • Fuck ya lets pay twice as much money for insurance than other countries do.let forty-five thousand Americans die every year since they aren't covered.

HANDS OF MY HEALTH care !!!!!!!

BTW im uninsured Profits are wayyy more important than my life

  • I don't get why everyone that thinks the United Kingdom has better Healthcare/lives than Americans move to the UK. They speak the same damn language.

  • Actually no it doesnt. The public option is fucking out of it. Why? Because the god damn insurance companies paid everyone off!

  • What was the proof behind this?

  • Why is the audio so loud in some parts and very low in other's?

  • the saddest part is i'll be able to count on one hand the members of congress who read the bill before voting on it... and i'll probably have some finger to spare

  • The problem with that statement is that your current government seems hellbent on creating a small band of privileged corporations in bed with the government and taxing and regulating everything else into oblivion

  • @tophu1021 What flawed video? HTWW shows that Obama lies and now he has lower credibility?

Did you even watch this? Are you connected to the internet?

  • Comment removed

  • @tophu1021 It's just "health care". Why does it have to be over 2K pages? The Constitution is only 17 pages and runs the entire damn country. This HC bill has NOTHING to do with health care! Because if it was they would have consulted with Doctors, and no not the ones that contributed to his campaign that were given lab coats when they arrived at the WH. But real Dr's. Fix medicaid concentrate on those w/o Insurance. Take care of those people don't force gov't run health care on everyone.

  • Comment removed

  • @tophu1021 you guys just don't get it do you? Have you ever heard of a "Paper Chase"? There is so much CRAP in the HB that it will take months to decipher the language. What if Conservatives wanted to give all business a 20% tax cut because 40 million of them were struggling. Then handed the dems a 2000 page bill, do you think the conservatives might have something to hide in it? Of course they would.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't need the Government telling me what to do, I have a better idea, show me in the US Constitution where it says they have this power?

Stupid Constitution getting in the way, Obamao should just ignore it and do whatever he wants! Oh wait, he already is.

  • Comment removed

  • Pelosi said you will be forced to purchase health care, unless she is lying, she said you face fines or jailtime.

  • Comment removed

  • Nope, never been required to purchase something to be a US Citizen, this is way new.

And you do not have to pay taxes, ask a huge portion of the US that are on welfare.

  • Comment removed

  • Not one thing you have listed is REQUIRED by law to exist in the USA, this is new.

Try to spin it, anyway you want to.

Psst, you are not required to get ANY license in the USA, only if you want to use a privilege that said license provides. Social Security Numbers are not required by law, its voluntary.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice to see you are catching on, no where in time has there been a requirement to exist as a US Citizen, you enjoy that big government platform.

I sure hope you are a doctor or pharmacist or nurse, otherwise you should go make a difference.

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, did I touch a nerve? If you want to do this, go do it! Nobody is saying you are not allowed..

Clinton put limits on welfare. Reagan in no way shape or form increased the size of Government unless you are talking about the Military... Even still, I don't think it was a net gain.

Go to medical school, make a difference!

  • Comment removed

  • Not saying I like trillion dollar deficits, and it appears you do not either, ergo, you should not be pushing for this nonsense.

  • Comment removed

  • How am I a hypocrite?

You are, I doubt highly you are a doctor/pharmacist/nurse yet you want to make a difference and you ahve some useless degree. You more than likely dont' make squat for money and this is due to your own inept choices in life.

So, in reality YOU are the hypocrite, enjoy a big ole glass of reality.

  • Comment removed

  • You are the one swearing at me, yet you are not paying extra in taxes, you do not get a degree in the before mentioned areas and help the "poor".

Go get a degree in those areas and find out what the real problems are in the system, then come back and preach socialization. Psst, fascists preached socialization of medicine as well... There is a huge list that dumbocrats have in common now with Fascists.

    You enjoy that!

  • Comment removed

  • Nope, my wife does.

  • Comment removed

  • Then go get em tiger, its your crusade, not mine.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, if it is so important to you, go get em.

If it is so righteous and just, why don't you put your money where your mouth is? Instead, you want my family to pay for your nonsensical views.

  • Comment removed

  • Yep, left the country quite a few times, no I do not go to Africa or Europe.

You know, if you like those places so much you could stay there...

People are going bankrupt due to quite a few things, making taxes go up on EVERYONE with a policy as well as employers is not going to solve that. If you don't grasp that, I highly doubt you have family members that are doctors...

If your dad is a doc, ask him why it costs so much for him to practice...

Once again, go get em tiger! CHARGE!

  • @Jethro212 My brother is becoming a dentist instead of practicing medicine, because it cost so much for mal practices.

  • @tophu1021

You went to Botswana and want think Americans lack compassion? Who builds the best hospitals in these countries? Private charities, generally American ones at that.

I think what Jethro212 is getting at is, if you see a problem don't wait for the government to get 'solve' it, solve it yourself! Start a charity, even if you aren't rich you can donate your time and your kindness by being there to listen to people who are struggling. Ask nicely and someone will help.

  • Reagan did not lower funding to Social Security, wow rewrite history much? He increased the age to withdraw...

I agree, Bush enacted all kinds of stuff that is stupid, why hasn't Obamao gotten rid of it? Oh yeah, he is the quintessential Fascist, not communist. He likes that power and he likes doing secret deals, even Air America figured it out.

  • For which bracket? The top one?

  • "Welfare?! You can't go on welfare unless you're unemployed"

And is that because they can't get a job or because they are too lazy to down grade and do some other type of work for less money? I can guarantee there would be fewer people unemployed if we didn't make it so comfortable.

  • Comment removed

  • @ tophu1021

Do people on welfare starve to death? Not in the U.S. You want food, go to any grocery store and ask for the stuff they can't sell anymore.

Unlike wealthy suburbanites, my family was for most of my life in the lowest income tax bracket my Dad was out of work for a year when I was in High school, right after my parents bought there first house. If, they want out of poverty, all they need to do is work hard and get a job. Not an instant solution, but it works.

  • Hahaha, yes it is certainly as simple as just "working hard and getting a job."

There are more people eligible to work than there are jobs. And most of these jobs don't pay enough (minimum wage) to live on, particularly in urban areas or if you have a family to support or student/medical debt.

Your opinion on this matter is objectively wrong. Why do you continue to hold it?

  • @BenkaiDebussy "There are more people eligible to work than there are jobs. And most of these jobs don't pay enough (minimum wage) to live on, particularly in urban areas or if you have a family to support or student/medical debt."

So move. Or start your own business. Grass grows. Most people will pay to have it cut, or weed. Underground businesses take very little start up cash. Also, multiple jobs at minimum wage help a lot.

  • @mssnrykd There will always be people who can't find any work or work that pays enough to support a family. Starting a business has an extremely high rate of failure, and there aren't enough consumers for every unemployed person to start his own successful business.

Society should supply a basic standard of living to the people who inevitably fall between the cracks. Using your logic, millions of people spontaneously become lazy in a recession. Some things in life are beyond your control.

  • Legalese is not plain English. It is a specific dialect of English with it's own set of phraseology.

All specialties do the same thing.

  • those 2000 pages advocate exactly what Obama promised not to do, increase government and taxes. To make things worse, Obama wants to force me to pay for insurance I can't afford. More money for CEOS.

  • Comment removed

  • The audio in this one had fluttering levels. It was weird.

  • Fear mongering.

  • heres the skinny on welfare. You dont give welfare, you get more crime. Which means you have to hire more police officers, and expand prisons, and pay for more court fees. Do you have any idea what it costs to keep someone in jail? Welfare is a fraction of the cost. Welfare saves money, seems like alot of people are jealous of those on welfare... but people on welfare arent living the high life... they live in the damn slums, they live off our table scraps. Welfare actually SAVES money.

  • @mark1m,

Please for the love of all thats sane tell me you had to ride the little bus as a kid and you didn't know any better than to say that. Welfare= a person with or without a bunch of children going into the stores and freely choosing any food they want from the shelves at the expense of the taxpayer, alot of times coupled with free light, water and utility cost for said family, nothing is ever put back into the economy from these people on the portion they receive. Cont...

  • Now on the other hand it does not raise crime or statiscally has not been shown to, the ones that commit crimes are those usually that are in need of or just want to have more. But you say this is a bad thing. Yes more crime means more police, court, expanded jails, ect. But dont forget the fact they are arrested and convicted of said crimes leading to, expensive court cost for them, fines, probation fee's, community service, ect. thus atleast crime is putting something back into the cont.

  • States funding. Please think about what you say before you say it or supply some fact and stop rambling pure insane bullshit.

  • logic would say people able to afford to live, would be less likely to steal to live. If you want to deny logic, you need to show facts.

Court costs, Defense and Prosecuting lawyers, judges fees... imprisonment fees... all cost the state money. How does that put back into the state funding?

  • I never said one time that they criminals put everything back into the system that was spent, but that they were putting back into the system, and as for your logic theory, giving people welfare makes them able to get the items they need without stealing it "thats fucking logic" no welfare they have to eat somehow so steal it "fact". And did you know in a recent poll done by Wal-Mart 75% of all people caught shoplifting had the money in there pocket to buy what they had tried to steal!!!

  • i shoplifted from walmart, from alot of places as a kid.... my parents are multimillionaires.. so fit me into your mold. Back in school it made me cool, so i did it. Even got arrested stealing CDs.

People who get caught are probably rich middle class kids like myself that didnt know how to steal. Good criminals are never caught.

  • Wonder way noone brings up the fact Harry Reid wants too hurry up and pass this healthcare bill that he supports just so his state can opt out...that doesn't even make sense.

  • Oh well lulz, EVERYONE IN GOVT is a slave.

  • Wait what?

I said the constitution wasn't perfect at first, and him quoting someone who drafted it as a perfect deity is wrong because of that fact.

I advocated change. How you got slavery out of that is beyond words. In fact, it's fail.

  • The Constitution IS a perfect document. Most of the amendments were simply written to highlight and specify portions of the Constitution.

The Declaration of Independence addressed slavery when it was written that "All men are created equal." The problem was getting "all men" to abide by these words, thus there was slavery. The 13th Amendment was written to emphasise what the Declaration of Independence was saying, and not to change anything either document said.

Big military? I say end it.

  • Constitution WAS a perfect document. Like anything, it needs to be constantly changed to remain relevant.

Sir Isaac Newton has a pretty perfect document back in the day. Unfortunately times change and while many people built off his writing... to consider his writing the be all end of of physics is retarded.

Times change, situations change. Name the smartest man alive (in your opinion) and ill bet he cant write anything that is relevant 200 years from now.

  • science is not philosophy.your premise is flawed.

  • ex:

Well, you're ignorant of history. The study of science, the development of "The Scientific Method," came as a result of the Natural Philosophers of the 17th & 18th centuries.

Newton was a Natural Philosopher, he was not a "scientist."

  • can you not understand the written word?physics is science not philosopy.iwas was not commenting on newtons body of work dufus.university of michigan class of 83

  • ex:

Oh, I'm sorry, you attended school at the "People's Republic of Ann Arbor." Well, good for you. I graduated before all the politically correct bullshit they teach you now. As for the "written word" I guess I read your "science is not philosophy" as literal, for you Michigan Grads, this means "as written."

Perhaps you were being sarcastic, or perhaps this is how you were taught to write at, "The People's School," without the cohesiveness of a complete thought.

  • don't be sorry.just educate yourself before commenting

  • ex:

Hey you pompous ass, don't patronize me you Wolverine loser. When your school starts to dump political correctness in favor of a decent football team, maybe, and I stress MAYBE, you can attempt to put me down. In the meantime, sit back and shut your trap and watch as the Buckeyes hand your team its ass, once again.

I'm in Florida, we have great weather, more jobs, better beaches, and a bunch of good college football teams.

  • florida is nice.i have a condo in ft. myers, see you after new years.i'm a conservative.you just grabbed the wrong tail.i'm sure we have more in common than we differ on political issues.this whole sissy fight started over newton.i won't quit on america and i won't quit on the wolverines, even if both have bad leadership.

  • exweez:

Well, I just wanted to point out that science started as a philosophy and the process was one in which the Logic of the Natural World was researched, discussed and led to modern science.

The argument about global warming has taken on the illogical traits of emotion, it is not a philosophic argument in the classical sense in that the people who argue about climate change have placed logic into the dustbin of The English Enlightenment.

  • @mark1m

If you knew the power of The Word, you'd understand why what was said even 5000 years ago still applies today.

On average, humans live less than 100 years. With each birth, everything that has been said or discovered begins to be repeated and discovered again. Today, like 5000 years ago, children are still born from mothers, they still need to be shown the way, and eventually they will die. All the technology in the world cannot change that all are born with certain unalienable Rights.

  • And by the way, being smart means nothing. Being wise is everything.

  • 100% agree with you.

Wisdom is a combination of intelligence and knowledge.

I dont know of a single person that has been able to predict the future though.

  • And "slaves" we are.

  • Which is typical socialism

  • My health care for America plan is to try congress and Obama for treason. That'll drop some unhealthy weight.

  • "The general welfare" definitely does not mean health care. James Madison(who is actually the FATHER of the constitution) even addressed that clause that clause and said "To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.". This means arguing that the general welfare can be stretched and bent is against what it was written for. Look that up, Atillaelfun.

  • Yea well, the constitution wasn't perfect when it was first created, the constitution did not protect the rights of many men (Say hi to civil rights) and allowed abuse at times.

Look I don't want to take away any care that you may have, but I do want my govt to do something to support those which cannot get funding for said care. The only problem is funding, not govt takeover, I don't understand why people get so scared over it when they openly support a large military etc.

  • People need to realize the reason health coverage is so high and insurance companies can do so much bullshit is because the HEAVY government regulation. I always laugh when people say it's not regulated enough. There's PLENTY of regulation in the health care industry. Just a small example is having to switch health insurance providers when moving to another state.

  • doesn't public managed healthcare work in places like France?

  • and Finland. I've been there for sevral months and I was amazed at their system. I didn't have time to get traveler's insurance before I went there but people told me if anything happened, they'd fix me for free, just like they fix their own citizens for free. i was flabberghasted and the people there were confused at my reaction. They also said "no offense but America is crazy and needs to get with the21st century" LOL

  • France indeed does have a way stronger system than the United States, however many people just think if you attribute anything to Govt it = wrong.

However, that being said, Obama care is to bipartisan to actually work. It's the Republicans that are actually to blame for this, not the democrats.

  • This is just fabulous, exploiting kids like this, flat out lying to kids, works for me. It's always a terrific plan to force newly indoctrinated kids to go out and lie for their own delusional parents.? Frightening the kids, the elderly, and ignorant people is always a winning plan for the socialist/marxist masquerading as,compassionate Democrats.

  • "..Frightening the kids, the elderly, and ignorant people is always a winning plan..."

I truly, honestly thought you were talking about Republicans up to that point.

  • You're a hack.

  • So you're argument is that this Health Reform bill equals a government takeover of healthcare because it has lots of pages? Tolstoy's War and Peace has lots of pages too, better watch out it doesn't start taking over your healthcare.

  • I was going to make the same point...sort of. I was gonna say, "Doesn't it depend on what's IN those pages, and didn't you say they refused to let anyone KNOW what's IN those pages?"

  • Constitutionally, there shouldn't even be a single page. Government has NO business regulating healthcare.

  • Govt has the ability to take care of the people and it's constituents, meaning the general welfare of the people.

    Constitution 101 don'tcha know. ^_^.

  • So government has to buy people houses and groceries too? General welfare does not mean health care.

  • I said it can.

And btw, it does buy houses, cough Katrina cough.

It also does buy groceries. Because it can doesn't mean it should, but it gives the ability to.

  • Yeah, but that doesn't mean taking care of people who are just too lazy to do it themselves.

  • The "general welfare" clause in the constitution is not meant to override every other thing in the constitution.

The health care takeover is unconstitutional.

Our constitution was designed to prevent government from becoming large and powerful.

Federal Government is limited to certain duties and only those duties - i.e. defense, regulation of interstate commerce.

You are not entitled to a damn thing except life, liberty and pursuit of property.

Your are not entitled to a free ride

  • "You are not entitled to a damn thing except life, liberty and pursuit of property."

    Lol Bill of Rights.

Look I'm going to be a college student soon, and as such have no money, and neither will my parents. If I already can't afford many things, do you really want me to tack on extra, or is your healthcare plan don't get hurt, because I can't afford that anyway...

  • If it is unconstitutional why do drug companies and technological companies use your tax dollar to fund a little less then half of there research budget only to charge you the consumer a price you have just paid twice? Once through your tax dollar and then through your use?Just like the corperate bail outs GM and Dodge. Your tax dollar saved their ass, and now you buy the vehicle twice.

  • @hylo1111,

    You are too right.

The American public is being fleeced.

First by our own government that taxes us to pay for more government control of us.

Also by the Corporations who are using the government to mandate advantages for the corporations.

It is called Crony Capitalism and it is a total corruption of the free market.

Corrupt politicians do favors for their corrupt corporate cronies.

Companies that are bankrupt should be allowed to go under.

    Doing otherwise is corruption.

  • @Robert697 healthcare was not in the constitution because there was no healthcare at that time. And further more if some one challenged healthcare constitutionally, what would happen? Im curious.

  • If challenged constitutionally, gov healthcare, plus many other gov programs, including the Federal Reserve, would be found unconstitutional and terminated.

Try this one - replace "healthcare" with "wellfare". Now, imagine someone on it their entire lives.

Chew on that thought for a long time before you answer.

  • Actually the US postal service is protected under the 1rst amendment of free speech. Cant be sued and has exclusive rights to first class mail.Healthcare does not pay you, welfare does, and everyone needs access to healthcare at some point in their lives.Welfare is intended to be a safety net, but people do abuse the system.Old coach of mine hunts down welfare fraud as a carreer.

  • Have you ever heard aout the expression

It is whats inside the box. This is basically it. The taxes and the goverment takeover of health care

  • Great video, just one request from a video editing, technical stand point, work on volume levels please :)

  • GREAT Simple Analysis of the Balance that'll be TOPPLED with ObamaCare.. (FAR worse [and less approval %] than HillaryCare, at this same point in IT'S introduction)..

  • That's some funny stuff!

  • They will probably just tax me more for having an overweight appendix...

  • You just don't understand, Democrats are superior human beings to us all, only a Republican wouldn't understand that.

Nancy Pelosi, despite all her botox, is a nice lady who could read an entire encyclopedia before many of us could finish reading this comment.

  • Great post. In fact, I think she's already PROVEN this!

I'm not sure about the source, but I've read THAT'S what caused her Face to Freeze Up; reading "Encyclopedia Brown" really, REALLY Fast!

Sadly, I think the Crowning Achievement of her life was Tragically LOST when, at the end, she realized the character "Wilford Wiggins" was based on Her!

    (G'head.. Google it)

But, she still has a pretty (nice) smile.. if only her cheeks weren't Stuck that way.

  • Wow, that was informative and logical. The length of a bill totally is related to its quality. I love how you proved your point with randomly yelling people. Very persuasive.

  • Yeah, they tried to shotgun it through. That really pissed me off.

Can anyone read 2000 pages in 2 days? Yeah..didn't think so...

  • Nancy Pelosi can, just goes to show how lost you Republican conservatives are, you just don't understand how superior in knowledge Elected officials are compared to us. They can do anything.

  • lol, I love your post.

I mean, it shows to what extent liberals are willing to lie.

By the way, there are no Republican Conservatives anymore. You'd know that if you had your own brain, but you're just brainwashed, so whatever.

And I'm also not a Conservative, or a Republican. So again, nice try.

Take your obvious bullshit somewhere else. Like up Obama's ass.

  • So you agree that Democrats are a superior race to us Humans?

  • You're one of many things.

    A troll

    A moron

Or a sarcastic twat I have no time for.

    Take your pick.

  • Obama has gone on the record saying he is in favor of universal healthcare. Every message from this administration is pure bullshit.

  • U.S. Gov cannot run the Post Office, much less a 300,000,000 person insure plan... Healthcare will be our demise - if these I D 10T 's are not stopped. I rather go to Fed Ex to get my appendix removed...

  • Bottom line is that government involvement will NOT make health care better.

There's just no freakin way. They lie and lie but they can never lower costs or offer more for less. No, they really can not and will not.

  • I 100% agree. I'm not against helping people with their healthcare. We are just going from one group of people who don't care about us, to another group of people who don't care about us.

Sorry, I'm not convinced Barrack Obama really cares about me, except for my vote.

  • please fix the audio!

  • We would have better chances on the Titanic than with gov heath care.

  • The audio mixing is off in this video! I can hardly hear your voice withuot turning up the volume enough that my ears hurt from the rest of the audio.

  • the government gets enough of my money. I'd rather voluntarily pay 20 dollars a month and have myself covered.

  • The problems may not be totally with the insurance companies. If certain proceedures are inflated in price, then insurance companies are forced to regulate what they will cover.Instead of a government option, the government should reward private insurance and hospitals with tax breaks or other means that try and cover low income families, or provide the best care possible. This may or may not reduce premiums or the cost straight across the board for everyone

  • The corporations that the government has allowed to balloon in size in not just this industry but every is why things aren't the way they should be. Instead of the people in the area being in charge of the care and giving the best service because it's their home you have these companies owned by a select few who could be based out of somewhere out of state that only care about profit/greed. This is the problem and is what happens when you allow a select few total control.

  • As someone with cancer I have never felt so threatened by my disease. Why? Because government is going to ration care, see breast cancer mandate, and insurers will now rape me over cost because their life expectancy is 4 years when this plan is in full effect. This is not health care reform, reform is change in behavior not a public option, this is a takeover of healthcare. Would you rather swim in a public pool or a private pool? Anyone for a public option is an absolute moron.

  • The state had already taken over healthcare, though. The AMA has been restricting access to healthcare for half a century, with a state mandate, in order to enrich doctors at the expense of patients.

Also, there were already thousands of pages of fine-print regulations regarding medical treatment and insurance, with more being added every year - and that's just on the federal level.

The state was already running healthcare. This bill doesn't just makes it slightly worse than it already was.

  • now Lee, lets be fair here. The health care bill is not 2000 pages... its 1990 pages. Demos would crucify you for those 10 pages. lol

  • @SolidSnakeEater123

    Reid's bill is over 2000.

  • this is just preaching to the choir. absolute rubbish.

  • HTWW is undeniably bright, but this video certainly doesn't showcase it. Less and less substance, more and more bias.

  • I take it they got all the doctors, nurses and aides on standby for all these millions who will suddenly be insured right? They wont cause a problem in and of itself or anything right? Oh, and I'm sure Congress is on board so much that they're going to sacrifice their healthcare plan to go on Obamacare themselves.

  • Nothing is free. NHS will come at a cost. A high cost. Not only in taxes but lives. Nothing is free. Nothing. To cut costs they will decide who gets treated and who doesn't. And that is bad news for the elderly.

  • Democrats like to push "free health care". Well, in Canada we have "free health care" and it costs me over $6000/year in taxes.

Nothing the government provides is ever free. Their main revenue is taxes and that ultimately comes out of our pockets.

If you're among the millions who don't pay taxes, congratulations on being a leech on society. The Democrats like it that way because they're almost assured your vote. "Tax those rich guys instead. They're baaaad." They also create jobs and wealth.

  • If you are charged with a crime and cant afford an attorney the government proveds you one, Why cant they also provide health care? My teacher asked that question and i have no answer, Any thoughts?

  • Would you rather have some unknown lawyer assigned to you or pick your own lawyer? Which do you think gives you a better chance of winning your case.

The same goes for healthcare. More choices is better. When the government gets involved and becomes one of those choices, expect major corruption. They write the rules and so the playing field will never be level.

Also, nothing provided by the government is free. Nothing! It all gets taken from the taxpayers one way or another.

  • thanks!!!!!!

  • this youtube poop sucks!!!

  • nice vid

  • Ha! i love this video!. great job again Lee!

  • Health care reform + 2,000 pages = Government takeover?

    Lee, obvious non-sequitur is obvious.

  • Obvious newfag is obvious.

  • Obvious troll is... ah, nevermind.

  • True that

  • Why are we critiquing a video? We are about to lose our freedoms!

  • Weak post. No substance, no background. Still a big fan, however :)

  • Dido

  • lol Loved it. :)

  • Two words: Government subsidizing.

For over 50 years, the government has been allowing bad insurance companies and medical practices to stay in business through subsidies, mandates, regulation, HMOs, PPOs, ect, ect. The cherry-on-top was the bail-outs!

It's time for REAL capitalism and free-markets! Not all this government corporatism!!

  • Sorry, but this was a really pointless video. Oh well...

  • what the hell are you taking about? What does smugness have to do with what i said?

Englands health care is not shit . For profit health care is bs . More money for less care . They will make you pay them huge amounts of money Because they know you are screwed without it .

  • well i know Canada's health care is shit, (as i live here) they don't cover everything, and with out a company like Ford or GM supplying you with health insurance, medicine is at a increased cost, since most people either don't have or can't get health insurance here, thus what the government doesn't cover (which is a lot) you have to fork money over for, also under Obama's plan everyone will need to get health insurance young and old, and you will be fined if you don't have any! that's fair?

  • so, isn't the real path to reform making no insurance a viable option? Of course, the government would never consider that, because that means they can't get in on this control of life, and they don't get the large cut involved. @ masterzakk; mobsters at least flat out tell you you just pay this to stay where you live "peacefully". These pricks are worse.

  • Nice video. The 2000 page bill is just fine print to politicians because they wouldn't bother reading it.

  • what is reform..? to me, reform is takin' the same piece of clay and makin' it into a different shape, not bringing in a new piece of clay pre-shaped and mandating "this is how it's gonna be.."

  • "Healthcare reform plus two-thousand pages equals a government takeover of the healthcare system."

So HTWW's dropped actual argument and is going for propoganda videos now?

  • propaganda, well this video is in fact the truth, why don't they want to read all 2,000 pages? i think everyone who votes on this should be mandated to read all 2,000 pages, and lets find out the skeletons in the health care bill closet, also why does it need to be 2,000 pages? so the people won't read every single page, then maybe they can sneak something by? does the Motion Picture Association just watch the first 30 minutes of a 2 hour movie than pass it off with a G rating? NO THEY DON'T!

  • I call it propaganda because this particular video provides absolutely no substance to back up it's claim that two-thousand pages equals "government takeover."

Of course we can argue whether or not it's claims are true, but that doesn't change the fact that this specific video only exists to try and further a cause strictly through emotion(given the lack of anything else).

  • watch?v=rHM5PLq9KXo

  • Mandates to buy shitty private health insurance = GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER OF HEALTH CARE OMGOMGOMG

Yes, it's just what ol' Karl had in mind...

  • Why Do american's want to keep a system that just keeps failing over 50 million american's? You spend more on healthcare Because a big chunk of your cash get stuffed into the wallets on companys and middle men be for any comes to you. Your insurance companys are criminal . they will turn you down for any reason . They don't even care if you die . it's all about money to them. Americans are being lied to by these big companys .
