  • what doctor did the surgery and where, how much was it,did you use insurance,my name is rey and and my email is : reymondo_gonzales@gmx.com

  • hi well u r lucky cuz u can see now my problem is way difficult i have a lazy eye and a catarac too so i was happy until a doctor told me about a cosmetic surgery to fix my eye to look normal but he said i cant recover vision on my lazy eye cuz is to late for it and i dont know what to do, it is no sense to get fix my eye so nobody can see my strabismus thats cool i guess but im afraid of pain.

  • @xxxcynthia1984xxx My pain was minimal. I had the surgery for cosmetic reasons. I debated about it for a couple years. It wasn't until i took a real nice picture with my family that i noticed how bad it was. i was picked on when i was a kid about it and as an adult i got funny looks and the comment 'are you looking at me?' my true friends and family didn't mind my looks, but my low self esteem got to me. in the long run i did it for me.

  • @pangakis5 - Hi pangakis5. Same here. In my case, both of my eyes wandered. Back in the 60s & 70s, docs told my parents I would probably grow out of it. 2 years ago, my daughter graduated high school & picts were taken. I concentrated very hard to make sure my weaker eye was straight, but a week later, my daughter put her picts up on FaceBook. When I saw the pict w/the 2 of us, I got sick. The eye was ALL the way out. I begged her to take it down. I finally got the surgery yesterday.

  • @xxxcynthia1984xxx Get a 2nd opinion - it's never too late to have a lazy eye fixed!

  • I'm 5 and half years good after this surgery. My vision improved.

  • @MsActor2009 do u have a problem seeing 3d?

  • @pangakis5 No, I don't. Went to a 3D movie last year. Don't think I could see 3D before the operation. (Had double vision before the operation. ) You were a super trooper during that surgery! I feel my vision has improved over the years, but I may have issues with depth perception.

  • @MsActor2009 i have never seen 3D and my depth perception is horrible. neither has improved since the surgery. Thanks for think i was a trooper:) my doctor was GREAT!

  • I was awake and could see the guy sewing up my eye. Was uncomfortable, and gross, but not painful.

  • @MsActor2009 Yeah it was a little uncomfortable but kindda neat. My doctor was good. he walked me through everything.

  • You are lucky to get it fixed and results are amazing! I had similar problem along with ptosis (?). Doc messed up and cut my lid and now I have dry eye every morning I get up. Both of my eyes still can't see straight......life really sucks as child and teenager but now I dont give shit about what people say, but this thing has given my lots of problems and complex thoughout my life. I have no complaints (especially with GOD) but people could have left me on my own. My first operation was @ 6

  • @lowilker i had to have control of the eye for the alignment so i would not have double vision. In part 1 of the video u can see him rub a numbing agent on the eye. i didn't feel a thing.

  • I also had this surgery, but I was put totally under for it. I can't even imagine having this done while being conscious!

  • @wisman2000 it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be. i didn't feel a thing in the alignment but a little tug, no pain.

  • @wisman2000 - Same here. Had both of my eyes done yesterday and was totally under. I would never have had the courage to go through that while awake. It's great finally to have straight eyes! =)

When I get the go-ahead from my surgeon, I'm going to have Lasik done. After 47 years, I'm really sick of contacts & glasses.

How have you been after your surgery? Any second or third needed?

    Thanks,

    Denise

  • @vShaede this was my second one. my forst one was when i was 7. i love having straight eyes.kids dont look at me funny nemore n ppl know that i am talking to them lol

  • @pangakis5 - Yes! Isn't it wonderful? No more funny looks from people; no more being embarrassed and no more silly questions. Having straight eyes is WONDERFUL! :-D

  • Are you better now? I scheduled mine.

  • @stevenr123456 it has been almost a year and the eyes are still straight......i had a little trouble with double vision at first but it went away within a week......other than that everything went well...best of luck with urs

  • what the fuck...

  • Good video of Strabismus surgery. Was this operation for "exo-tropia" or "eso-tropia"? What was the eye's status before the surgery?

  • @otissumnerbrown B4 I had this done I was 'Wall eyed' (my left eye turned to the wall while my right eye statyed straight) My right eye was dominant while my left had a weaker inner muscle that would not pull it in. It has been almost a year since i had this done and both eyes are still straight. This is the second opperation i have had done. The first was when i was 7 and the opperation was different but with the same results (both eyes were straight).
