  • great effort by abrar and great kalam.

  • A very good poem written by Iqbal and sung by Ibra-ul-haq....

  • Its totally divine spark which lighted the heart of Iqbal!

  • Very beautifull kalam

  • This definitely is not referring to Imam Mehdi! no muslim would do sujda to a human!

The great Alama Iqbal was a great muslim and scholar and well aware of this fact! the truth he is referring to is the absolute truth which is Allah SWT! any notion of referral to Mehdi is shirk, and an insult to Alama Iqbal!

  • what a great video thanks for upload

  • Bohot aala MashaAllah

  • The tune reminds me of Habib Wali Mohammed. But what to say about Iqbal and his message to Muslim Umma, except that we muslims particularly pakistani muslims have failed to grasb his message at great loss to ourselves. May Allah bless his sole Ameen.

  • Who is "Haqeeqat-e-Muntazir" and what is the meaning of "Nazar A Libase Majaz Mey".Can Any One Explain?

  • read all comments of video..u ll get detailed answer

    cheers

  • Comment removed

  • Nazar Aa' Libas Mae MEANS 'Truth, expose yourself in a Visible clothing"

Haqqeqat Muntazar means. " Awaited truth"

    _________

*This is only the Literal meaning. NOt EXPLANATION.

  • in this GAZAL iqbal is talking to god tht" k haqeeqat ko deakhany wala kabi insano k libas ma b nazar"

  • Haqeeqat-e-Muntazir - the awaited reality , the hidden reality mean Allah / GOD

Libase Majaz - wordly clothes - in a physical being ... In this verse Ask Alalh to show himself to him or show is visible signs to him...

it is really deep poetry but in essence he wants Allah to give him the signs which can be spirtual that can lead him toward Imman.

    The Genius of Iqbal ....

  • My Urdu is weak to say the least but

"Haqeeqat" means truth or reality "Muntazir" means something that is desired or to wait for something.

So "Haqeeqat-e-Muntazir" means long or eagerly awaited reality.

" Nazar" means to be visible or to see, in this context.

    "Libas" means cloth

"Majaz" I think means something that is visible and tangible or apparent in solid form.

So the first line goes something like this

  • "O long awaited reality show yourself or manifest yourself (in tangible or visible form)"

Disclaimer: It is not possible to translate poetry from one language to another so this just a crude approximation of the true meaning. But if you know limited urdu then you can make more sense out of it and enjoy it more.

  • awsome poetry

  • thanks for uploading !!!

  • Dear Friends,

Be it Masood Khan and Sheelo Khan, or Nusrat Fatah Ali Khan, or Ibrar-ul-Haq, in each case, and in every other case, it is, and will be wonderful !!!!

    HAM HOO'WAY, TUM HOO'WAY, KEH, MIR HOO'WAY

SABHI, USS ZULF KAY, ASEER HOO'WAY !!!!!

The poety of Allama Sahib (Sir Iqbal), the tunes composed by music directors and performed by (little recognized) artists, and sung by all these singers....My Goodness !

TERA HUSN CCHE'RTA HAY, MUJHAY, RUKH, BADAL BADAL, KAY.

    Thank you.

  • i think nusrat fiteh ali khan did his job very well as compared to ibrar as sir Iqbal s poetry iz inqalabi so it demands special tone.

  • Dear BZ99999,

thanks for your response and kind words. your praise i do not deserve and m sure your's is a more kinder and enlightened heart. i thank u for making me greedy..now merely word meanings would not make me understand this particular piece of sir iqbal. so sir, pl send me a brief synopsis of it. that would be an act of great obligation. you will excuse me for being too demanding but i cannot resist being so when opportunity like this comes my way. pl do oblige.

  • Dear Anoupala,

Thank you for posting your remarks.

I have seen your comments on some other videos. Therefore, I think that you are not as "innocent" in the knowledge of Urdu as one might imagine from your emails !

Still, for the record, I will endeavor to send you the meaning of some words used in the ghazal sung by Ibrar-ul-Haq.

From your comments in different video discussions I guess that you are an enlightened and a liberal person. All I can say is KEEP IT UP !!!!

    Thanks.

  • Part IV

All muslims agree that Sajda can only be done before Almighty God and to no one else. Our religious confession starts with the expression "La-e-La-Ha". So, Iqbal was definitately praying to Almighty to show up in Material Form.

In Sufi practice at least, one can find examples of Majaz in "Madho Lal Hussein", or Mehr Ali Shah Sahib when he says "Dassay Soorat Rah Bay Soorat Da, Jehra Rah Hay Ain Haqiqat Da

Par Kam Na'in Eh Bay Soojhat Da, Koi Wirlian Moti Lay Tarian."

    Thank you.

  • Part III

That is why man develops different types of worships such as idol worship. A relatively famous contemporary Indian poet said :

LAAKH MUNKIR SAHI, PAR ZAUQ-E-PARASTISH MERA

AAJ BHI KOI SANAM, KOI, KHUDA MANGAY HAY.

Coming back to our verse, in its second line (Muhtram-o-Mukarram) Allama Iqbal Sahib expresses his desire to render "Thousands of Mercurius SAJDAs" in front of the Awaited Reality if IT came in Material Form.

Please see Part IV (the last one)

  • Part II :

BRAHIMI NAZAR PAIDA MAGAR MUSHKIL SAY HOTI HAY

HAWAS, CHUPP CHUPP KAY SEENON MEIN BANA LAITI HAY TASWEEREIN.

All Sufis, and most poets, have been longing for a Glimps of the Eternal and the Omnipresent Reality. Ghalib said :

USAY KAUN DAIKH SAKTA, KEH YAGANA HAY, WOH, YAKTA

JO, DU'I KI BOO BHI HOTI, TAU, KAHEEN DO'CHAR HOTA.

Human being's desire to actually see God has been, and, to some extent still is, his great weakness.

    Please see Part III

  • Part I : Dears, It is a great discussion that puts into focus some of the great themes of our beliefs. As Tauseef Sahib has said it is a hamadia verse. The story goes back to the days of Hazrat Ibrahim (pbuh), the first known human being who realised that all manifestations known to be the ultimate reality or the "real reality" were temporal, and the Almighty Allah is the only Existence that is Eternal and Immortal. As some one mentioned to me, Iqbal's following verse refers to this phenomen:

  • i want to add some facts regarding verses of quran....that haqeeqate muntazar means the personlity ..invsible ..named HAZRAT IMAM MEHDI A.S 12 IMAM for this universe..thankx syed ali raza...email...(gillani1472 ) you tube account

  • Dear this is Hamdiya verse,Calling directly to Allah

Imam is a reality and He ll come to world but Iqbal's desire is to prostrate in such way that that Ultimate Reality may come in virtual form.

About Imam probably iqbal has mentioned other places like

"Qareeb tar hai Namood jis ki usi ka mushtaq hai zamana

but here u cant take these meanings

&one more thing,in Quran there not even a single verse that mentions the coming of Mehdi..its only in Hadith.plz if u can find a single verse, let me know

  • @tauseefqau Absolutely 100% correct. We are obliged and thankful for this explanation dear brother Tauseef.

  • @tauseefqau Thanks Tauseef

  • Fantasy can't be described in word, it is feeling,

    Abrar Allah Tomhay khus rakhhay,

Once I watch your PTV program where you commented that Namaz, Urdu & Iqbal was very essential in your childhood.

    Abdul Malik Karachi.

  • @tauseefqau

I have read........this Verse many times in holy Quran. Its in 20 th parah and is number 62.........if u have Shiya translated Quran...with description on it then u will understand.this verse tell us that he will came and will stand by holy Kaaba and will say 2 devotional prayers there.......to seek Allah's help.

  • @gillani1472

in my openion iqbal is communicating directly to Allah, cz he is talking abt Sajda(and sajda is only due to Allah the almighty) plus haqiqat e muntazir means as one day Allah's naik and nobel ppl are gonna meet Allah face to face so it is an awiting reality...but iqbal requested Allah to come earlier cz he wanna do a sajjda infront of him...smt. like tht wht i got from this...however again im not sure, its my own understanding, it could be wrong....

  • @GabbruPunjabi absolutely correct

  • @gillani1472

As far as my knowledge on Iqbaliyat goes, no author of known authority over Allama ever put this meaning to these lines of Iqbal. How could Iqbal say of doing Sajda to a Human Being. Although, Imam Mehdi is a personality of high order, he is still Human.

The Iqbal refers to ALLAH Almight in these lines as "Haqeeqat-e-Muntazir"

This actually refers to the fact that every good souls is sure that he has to die, and therefor, is waiting to meet his creator

  • @gillani1472 tera dil tu hai sanam aashna ; tujhe kia mile ga namaz main :)

  • i would like to add some facts according my knowledge taken from verses of quran..that the muntazar is the personality behind the seen of this ..named HAZRAT IMAM MEHDI A.S ...poet begs to come into visible position...its his hearts pray..thankx syed ali raza

  • I am not sure why i have tears why i listen the verse. " na wo ishq main rahin garmiyan, na wo husn main rahin shokhiyan--na wo ghaznavi main tardap rahi, na wo kham hai zulf e ayaaz main"..... probably because the ummah is at its lower point...and we have lost our real values somewhere in the past.....and this is what he means by these lines!

  • ithink so far ibrar for that great poetry ....i think nusrat fateh ali khan was perfect for that poetry

  • Dear BP,

Thank you for your message. I have posted a reply which is on your home page. Just wish to let you know.

    Thanks and regards,

  • Reply Part I Cher BelligerentPacifit,

Je vous remercie vivement de votre message auquel jai été très sensible.Comme vous lavez indiqué, il y a de moins en moins des gens qui comprennent les complexités de nos langues, ainsi que les sujets comme ceux invoqués dans ce ghazal.Jai posté mes remarques avec beaucoup de réticence. Mais, finalement, je me suis dit quil y a lieu dapporter cette précision car ce tout petit détail change complètement le sens de la verse. (Voir suite)

  • Allama iqbal was a great philosopher and great annalist ...and thinker and we should understand his words .....Bravoo.....

    Awesome performance voice

  • its not muntazar, its muntazir

  • ya u correct tariq

  • "Muntazir" means the one who waits or seeks. "Muntazar" means the one who is waited for or sought after. There appears to be a consensus among scholars that the word used in this ghazal is "MUNTAZAR". In all the versions of Bang-e-D'ra I have seen, particular attention has been given to show this words as "MUNTAZAR". This is a very delicate point as it changes the meaning completely. The Eternal Reality is not "waiting" for any one. It is the creatures who are wating for "MUSHAHIDA". Thanks.

  • no its muntazar not muntazi ok take a book of allama b=mohammad iqbal sahib,s bal.e.jibreel ok take care bye

  • No Asma, its MUNTAZAR alright. Infact I was delightfully surprised that AuH knew the right grammatical form, unlike most of us.

muntazIr is the person waiting on something, and muntazAr is the thing being waited on.

  • There is another version of Kabhi ai haqeeqate by Asha Bhonsale in the 1967 film, "Dulhan Ek Raat Ki".

  • Mera bohot hi pasandeeda kalam. Meri zindagi main yeh ashaar aur inka matlab humesha aik mubham ehsas ki tarha sath sath rahay hain. Inki bazgasht mein nay apni sochon aur fayslon main barha suni hai.
