You keep referring to a .midi file as if it was a studio recording of the band. It's actually a protocol that uses numbers to represent a musical idea. Basically, somebody used a keyboard to try and recreate the song. The only things that are properly represented (and not always so evidently) are the timing and pitch. The timbre, dynamics, envelope, and of course, lyrics are left to the imagination.

You keep referring to a .midi file as if it was a studio recording of the band. It's actually a protocol that uses numbers to represent a musical idea. Basically, somebody used a keyboard to try and recreate the song. The only things that are properly represented (and not always so evidently) are the timing and pitch. The timbre, dynamics, envelope, and of course, lyrics are left to the imagination.

I do like the goo goo dolls (at least some of their stuff) but I have to say, this video and the video following it are definitely the two funniest videos I've seen all year (it even beat the "sparkling wiggles" girl).
