I live 5 mins from the Mammoth Cave park great place you all should visit. Everyone around here is nice and the caves are beautiful as well so everything else around here.

Pretty cool I want to go there next spring. Ohh ya you should go to the Lost Sea in TN. its the largest underground lake in the states its really worth the drive!

Thanks for the Lost Sea tip, I'll keep it in mind the next time I go to TN. Last time I was in a cave was Luray Caverns, VA - really nice cave.

Great Place took our honeymoon there June 1971. We stayed in the cottages. Back then Mammoth Caves was not a Heritage site and they had no idea it was the longest cave. We had tours you can no longer go on. We went down to the water level of the cave and walked in "the sands of time"

I visited Mammoth Cave 2 yrs. ago, which was my second time I visited the cave.

It is a nice place to roam. The entrance to the cave is like free air conditioning. :)

It's Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. About 1.5 hours drive north from Nashville, TN or south from Louisville, KY. It was a 5.5 hour drive southwest from Columbus, OH. It's a nice place, kinda laid back. If I ever visit again I'll try staying at the Mammoth Cave Hotel. I was a bit hesitant and stayed at a more popular hotel chain but ate lunch at Mammoth Cave Hotel and it wasn't half bad in my opinion and right by the visitor center. I haven't seen the rooms though.
