years ago after a weeks worth of very heavy rain a pond appeared across the street in the back yards of two houses. Some ducks found the pond and setup shop and that fascinated my cat. She was observed stalking and occasionally diving in after the ducks. A week or so later the water drained and the ducks left, much to the dismay of the cat.
@GeneralMalfunction uhm, no they can't...maybe wild cats can, but I have yet to see a domestic cat attempt it...if you've seen one, please kindly post some evidence to disprove me..
@animationeer My cat swims, but where i live it's too cold to take him to the pond where he goes swimming with my dog & video tape him. Just type in "cats swimming" in the youtube search bar, ALL cats have natural instincts on how to swim & survive outdoors, whether they're indoor cats or outdoor cats.
@animationeer Are you fucking stupid? Ofc a cat can swim, they don't have to learn how to do it like a human. They just do it, they just don't fucking like water.
@MurdocLC Are you a fucking retard? That post was half a year ago. I get the fucking picture, you don't have to fucking tell me something that other people have fucking said, stupid. And stop saying fucking in your sentences, you sound like a fucking douchebag.
My cat Kaos watches my mom's fish in the pond. After getting mad at him a dozen times for poking at them, he knows not to touch them now :) It's quite adorable actually
I think my old cat tiger would have gone for it. He loved water, and was quite a good swimmer.

Luckily the mother duck was able to exploit one of the cat's greatest weaknesses: WATER! good thing ducklings can swim, but cats can't.

Stalk? I have seen many cats try to get very low so friends of theirs will not see them- and then jump out
to "tag" them, then run away so their friend so the other can try to "tag" them.

yeah, my cat does that too. didn't necessarily mean he wanted to eat it.
