Hey guys theres an explaination as to why Dante looks like this now,

This is a seperate reality and timeline, and the Dante of old games is in another one. I guess that kind of plays into being pulled into Limbo, but the game comes out some time next year, and as a veteran and someone whos been there since 3 playing DmC1 to 4 I'm looking forward to it. Im interested in seeing how the plot TRULY plays out. So all you ppl bitching about the look, just enjoy the game and give it a try!

I've been a fan of DMC since its original release, and I am disappointed by Capcom. Not by this, but DMC 2 was a huge letdown.

It's slow, extremely repetitive, and where the fuck is jump cancelling? Jump Cancelling was one of the most important and original features in DMC3 and DMC4. But apparently, it's gone now.

The story was just there to get you from point A-point B and the stories themselves were not even all that memorable or interesting. Also, people are forgetting that reboot doesn't always mean starting completely over. They have stated that this prequel is an origin story explaining Dante's past more. This game is just a refresh

@justinhasproblems1 Go and look for the first few interviews on DmC. Ninja theory explains what they are doing. You should have been doing that first before getting upset. DMC has always been about combat. That's why you have the stylish points. DMC has been about how well you can chain different combo's together, the variety of weapons and learning how to make different combo's and deal with enemies. Combat is DMC's staple, not just Dante. Not horribly written one-liner after another.

@Stungun48 yeah I agree with you there I started liking DMC because of the moves and weapons in DMC3 and thats why DMC2 failed because there werent any combos or weapons only a few swords while in the other games there were a lot of weapons and each one was unique ha its own combos and moves even in DMC3 you could do a doble jump only if you buy that move for that weapon and with the guitar you could fly so its more important that there are weapons and moves than story and Im out of characters.

-continued- Three, everyone knows in the world of gaming, there can only be ONE prequel to a series. And DMC3 IS that prequel. What most fans are afraid of is that Capcom may actually allow these new people to butcher a series that already has an established history. Adding/changing that history of the series will make the players and fans confused on what the fuck is going on. I would prefer a game in which explains where the hell is Vergil. But I'll give the game a chance and pray its as good.

I love the combat and the story but if combat is strong and story is weak (like it is now) I won't be motivated to even finish it. And if its story is strong and combat is weak then its a risk to bore the players. So it needs a blend of both but if Ninja Theory wants to do this, fine, but leave Dante as he was and make this new "dante" into another character?

It's a reboot, consider it as alternate Dante. it still sucks even the gameplay is great. since it will be new story that not related to the previous four. high possibilities are that there might not have Vergil, Lady, Trish or Nero, maybe even Sparda.
