My negative comment is this and no disrespect to Steve Marriot at all. But, people should be DANCING not sitting on their asses. This is one aspect of rocknroll that seems to have distanced itself from more and more after the 1960s.

It pisses me off that this guy didn't get the rewards he deserved, as a guitarist myself, i can relate to the hardships of trying to make it in music, but this guy had made it, but the powers that be kept him out of sight, i saw this tour in marrero, louisiana believe it or not, maybe 20 people in the place, half or more didn't even know who he was! he was kicking ASS anyway, when it was over i coundn't believe what i just saw! I'll never forget, now the building is jefferson parish water co.

@mraia007 That's the problem, younger generations, such as myself, who SHOULD have been aware of him, just couldn't get that information (pre-Internet era) about him, his band Small Faces, and millions of other artists from the past. It's terrible. I spend alot of time here on Youtube just scouring for archived videos on obscure artists from the 20th century. I also am practicing my guitaring . Lack of information does a lot of damage.

love this of Steve late in his career when the creeps in the indusrty kicked him to the curb & he was a mess but he still blew everyone away! vocally no one in ROCK could ever touch this voice,& no one was better to me . I say it alot but no Hendrix, Morrison, Frampton, Clapton etc had as much diversity in style & more talent, grace and grit then Marriott case closed. No doubt U will

Nobody should hate you for expressing an opinion, all the names you compare with Steve each have their own uniqueness, which sets them apart from the truckloads of crap that are awash on the media at present. Steve had a passion for everything he played, and probably some of his best performances on archive are of other peoples songs - listen to Get Off of My Cloud, with Alexis Korner, or Humble Pie's version of the Yardbirds song For Your Love. Worth a few Grammys eh??
