Champion's Online would be a great game if CoX didn't already exist. CO just doesn't bring enough new to the mix...and CoX is so polished by now and full of content, teams, etc., there just is no reason to bother with CO's bugs and such.
Personally, I dig questing, exploring, developing characters I like and CoX really fills that bill.
But if PvP is your thing great. I didn't like CO's PVP (a barrier? really?). But frankly, I don't know of a RPGMMO who's PvP didn't suck. For PvP, I stick to FPS's.
And if you are in a guild or have a decent personality, CoX or any RPGMMO has enough people. For a solo player, I have a nice list of CoX friends that I team up with often for team questing and socializing.
@TheGoalSetter the game personally got boring for me because i depended on that pvp..i couldn't stick with just ONE character for months and i've tried every power set (no joke) all lvl 50 too i had 3 accounts at one point 32 50's..and past that for the pve most people wouldn't run tf's during the day..they would sit in atlas until about 9:00est time..so i would be paying $15 a month to play for about 2 hrs a day..and run the same things over and over using the same power..not fun.

As a 5 year vet of COH/V and a Good 2 decades as a Champions RPG player and GM...I can safely say that CO has fallen on it's face hard. They needed a good 6months to a year more beta to get it working even passibly. Yet..they shove it out the door and play the squishysoft game of letting the public be their betatesters. I beta'd CO and was very dissappointed by what I saw. Maybe in a year I will look at it again.

100% is most something can be if you mesaure in % Nothing Can be more than 100%. Then you have to start measure in ‰. This can go up to 1000. this is called promille in Norwegian. I dunno what the english term is. :)
a good thing about this game is that ur not restricted to just usin the keyboard u can use controllers as well. as long as u buy a good one it should be fine.

Ok guys - i downloaded city of heroes from steam and after spending all day downloading it i finally got to click launch. then suddenly i get the "this game is currently unavailable please try again later" so i contacted steam and they were no help (shock) and i was wondering if anyone could help me????
You posted this a month ago so you might have gotten it fixed already, but I got that the first time I downloaded it too. And in case you still have the problem, this worked for me...
Close Steam. Go to My Computer > C: > Program Files > Steam (folder)
Then right click Steam.exe and click "Run as Administrator"
It's tedious, but that's what you'd have to do anytime you want to play CoH. Hopefully your problem's fixed already though.
I really didn't think this game was any fun. The levelling was pretty slow. Like you level up, but you have to go train every time you level up. So people quest, and level up several times, then go train afterwards.
Really? You didn't like that? I thought the leveling went by fairly quickly. And if you were in the middle of an instance, your powers would improve, but you would need to train if you wanted more powers. Honestly, I thought the leveling went by very quickly. I joined maybe a week ago and I already have a level 26, an 18, three 8s, and a 6. The level cap is 50. It's very fun and entertaining, I actually enjoy leveling in this game. Unlike most, it doesn't take three days to get from 20 to 21.
In my honest opinion, yes. It is worth getting. The leveling is smooth, the choices are seemingly limitless, and the people are friendly. I still haven't gotten over how friendly people are in this game. I have encountered maybe about 200+ people, and not one single person has been rude to me like people have in other games(namely WoW, SWG, and RuneScape). I highly recommend getting this game. =)
CoH is an amazing game. For one you wont find a MMO that has as much action as CoH, the fighting is really fast paced and you can always improve your Hero/Villain, I have 6 lvl 50's and would still be going strong if it wasnt for computer problems. If you do join, Freedom Server is the most populated, the items also cost more but you can get teams very easy. If you do join look up the Super Group Legendary Superheroes of Paragon. They welcome any one with open arms and are in the top 100 SG's

the support in WoW sucks so much ass its not funny, CoH/CoV, everyone is nice and willing to help out. it all comes down to what you want and like and what you have time for. I think that the "what you like" thing comes 2nd for games some because someone could LOVE fantasy more that comics and heroes but not have time for that game. (i prefer fantasy more also, but i dont have the time), so thats why i choose CoH/CoV because i love the game, have the time for it, love the gameplay, and its cool!
i mean look at the graphics for this game and look at WoW. for Coh/V you can start out looking like a level 70 in WoW, you get travel powers at a very early level, (as for WoW, you get them at level 30 and they're still slow as hell), you can change the way you look anytime, you cant go wrong with a choice, its just awesome to me :D

id have to say this...CoH is a really cool game, so is WoW, i like them both, but a lot of people dont have the time for WoW. WoW is a game that you ahve to put your time into. basically, you have to dedicate yourself to the game. CoH is more of a game that allows you to go at ur own pace. i love both games, but i just dont have a xtra life just for a game. so id have to pick CoH/CoV because its easier, awesome gameplay, millions of costume selections, and not time consuming like WoW.

GW is a fun game but WoW kicks its ass in gameplay, PERIOD. In WoW you can be doing ur missions or w/e and random people can run up to you. In GW once your out into the gameplay area, Unless someone was in your party your alone out there... its crap and boring. WoW ez's GW.
Arwe you actually serious? GW is so crap it takes about one day to get the max level then you spend the rest of your time getting money you don't even need anymore. Pvp is lame and not fun at all. Don't say this is because I'm crap because I wasn't. WoW is much better it can take weeks of hardcore play to get the the max level and even when you reach it there is a massive about of things you can do such as BG or raids. I am yet to play CoH but judging by this video it kicks ass.
Don't want to be offensive, but my theory on why these people say WoW sucks is because they are the short attention spanned children that which only have the ability to make not one lvl 70, but instead multiple lvl 20-30 that part which other lvls 70 wont like to run them thru instances when they bitch and moan on city chat.

Besides, WoW is packed with little kids who suck at video games in the first place, making it no fun. CoH is actually fun and not fustrating unless you get that one newb who ticks you off. Your sprint wasted a lot of endurance there. and it sure is tough fighting /regen in arena. In pvp regen isn't so good anymore.

It's a good game, i had 2 level 50's. The only problem is the PvP is like two apes flinging their feaces at eachother. It just looks really dumb.

the support in WoW sucks so much ass its not funny, CoH/CoV, everyone is nice and willing to help out. it all comes down to what you want and like and what you have time for. I think that the "what you like" thing comes 2nd for games some because someone could LOVE fantasy more that comics and heroes but not have time for that game. (i prefer fantasy more also, but i dont have the time), so thats why i choose CoH/CoV because i love the game, have the time for it, love the gameplay, and its cool!

i mean look at the graphics for this game and look at WoW. for Coh/V you can start out looking like a level 70 in WoW, you get travel powers at a very early level, (as for WoW, you get them at level 30 and they're still slow as hell), you can change the way you look anytime, you cant go wrong with a choice, its just awesome to me :D

id have to say this...CoH is a really cool game, so is WoW, i like them both, but a lot of people dont have the time for WoW. WoW is a game that you ahve to put your time into. basically, you have to dedicate yourself to the game. CoH is more of a game that allows you to go at ur own pace. i love both games, but i just dont have a xtra life just for a game. so id have to pick CoH/CoV because its easier, awesome gameplay, millions of costume selections, and not time consuming like WoW.

GW is a fun game but WoW kicks its ass in gameplay, PERIOD. In WoW you can be doing ur missions or w/e and random people can run up to you. In GW once your out into the gameplay area, Unless someone was in your party your alone out there... its crap and boring. WoW ez's GW.

Arwe you actually serious? GW is so crap it takes about one day to get the max level then you spend the rest of your time getting money you don't even need anymore. Pvp is lame and not fun at all. Don't say this is because I'm crap because I wasn't. WoW is much better it can take weeks of hardcore play to get the the max level and even when you reach it there is a massive about of things you can do such as BG or raids. I am yet to play CoH but judging by this video it kicks ass.

Sigh... GW isnt even a mmorpg, its a OCRPG (online cooprative role playing game).
The only time when its multiplayer is in cities, thats why the game is free, 95% of the game takes place in instanced areas.

Don't want to be offensive, but my theory on why these people say WoW sucks is because they are the short attention spanned children that which only have the ability to make not one lvl 70, but instead multiple lvl 20-30 that part which other lvls 70 wont like to run them thru instances when they bitch and moan on city chat.

I have to agree with fang2714, though I was playing CoH for like, 2 years by then and someone had me play WoW. Boringgggg. Besides, WoW is packed with little kids who suck at video games in the first place, making it no fun. CoH is actually fun and not fustrating unless you get that one newb who ticks you off. CoH pwns, whatever anyone says. 3 and a half years baby, still goin strong :3
