  • The clip used is a magnificent song. You wrote that you can not publish, but it's been 4 years back and it would be a shame if it was lost in time. Thank you.

  • U.S got so many sterotype with japan culture. Amercian always

think in good way about japan.

  • how lovely.. although, i think those look like yukata or smth, not kimonos. Then again what do i know.

  • @nelumvia They are kimono, but because it's a fashion show and they're dressing the models in 5 minutes backstage, they are wearing fake under-collars and no under-layer. The kimono thus looks clingy and thin instead of properly stiff. The obi are also clip-ons, you can tell by how perfectly stiff and uniform they all are.

  • @WristCutGauze oh thanks thats interesting :D i said that cause I thought kimonos were the long sleeve variety.

  • how much would just the outside layer cost if i wanted to get one?

  • @Myriad00 Just a kimono, on Ebay, goes very cheaply because people are pretty unwilling to pay what they're worth. In Japan, a used kimono is $5-- $1000.

  • oh mai those or gorgeous...

  • wow thats very beautiful xD

  • so pretty <3

  • Wow I love this ethereal song. So so it is not available.

  • yamato nadeshiko.........

  • i love it :D

  • Japanese And Chinese Kimonos Or Both Beautiful And Elegnet so Seren too I want one I'm alittle of Japanese in me so I think I should have one to lol

  • @InperenSerenity Go for it! I'm in the process of purchasing a yukata for myself. My brother is going to buy on also. His wife is from Kawasaki. He is going to buy a kimono for her, too. We are from Ky. We appreciate them for their beauty here in Ky., too.

  • Whats the pouch thing in the back of the kimono ._.? is it like a backpack ???

  • @liveloveand4get No it isn't ^_^ it doesn't hold anything, that's is just a way to tie the obi or sash. The obi can also be tied in a bow in the back.

  • Nobody... not even the most beautiful woman in America could come close in bringing out the elegance and beauty of Japan.

God I want to go to Japan so badly. But I lack the funds.

  • @jakey926 Just your opinion. That's not true.

  • soo pretty .. :3

  • uuuwwaaa! totemo kirei na kimono desu!! subarashii ^_^"

  • They are beautiful.

  • the kimono on the movies looks so beautiful but these fashion kimono sucks big time

  • the kimono are purty makes me want one...

  • i really like this Japanese costume.(kimono)...i need one..but i don't know how....?b'coz no store available here..

  • very niiiice =D

  • You stupid. Japanese never asked to be influenced by any country. It was China that made Japanese learn their culture. What Japanese did after that chinese influence is totally japanese.

Japanese created the folding fan and then it became popular in China. Cultural influences are always travelling.

  • I enjoyed it. Thank you for posting this.

    I love it(^^♪

  • absolutely breathtaking...

  • breathtaking.... i really want a piece. but it's just too expensives.... T_T

  • KIMONO is very very beautiful !!!

    It's Japanese culture.

  • 美しい!!!!!です。 着物は やっぱり! いいですね!

  • Kimono is the BEST Asian traditional costume, better than Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.

  • .....thats the most bias shit i had ever heard. Kimono is very very nice and elegant, but u dun have to disrepect other cultures.

  • @zyxy3k

You are right. I am sorry.

  • lolz one of them cost more than 10.000 $

  • is ti because they are handmade or what ?

  • Nice kimono's. The music is kinda relaxing too.

  • What kind of kimonos did pregnant women wear in old japan? I can't imagine they wore tight obi around their waist if they were 8 months pregnant. Can someone explain? Oh and the kimonos are beautiful. I wish I could buy one but i hear they're so expensive.

  • Look at how they are walking witch such elegance and grace. I would love to have one of those work of arts. Wearing kimono is all about how you cary yourself.

  • @o0Riceman0o I've seen some Japanese people who can't wear kimono worth a damn, or even know -how-.

Kimono can look good on anyone.

  • @o0Riceman0o

hummm. I have seen a African-American lady wearing a kimono so beautifully

at the old shrine in Tokyo.

She was with her Japanese husband also wearing a kimono and

everyone around including her hubby looked at her with admiring eyes

cause she was very beautiful and elegant.

  • Forgive me, but I believe seijin-no-hi, or Coming of Age Day, was the 12th. Every 2nd Monday of January. But still, I was surprised and pleased to see it mentioned.

  • Visit Japan on January 15th, seijin-no-hi. You'll see a lot of girls wearing Kimono walking around in the town.

  • No woman will lock so graceful wearing a kimono like a Japanese woman ! Love it ! Domo ,arigato

  • I have seen women of different nationalities wear the kimono with grace. It makes a beautiful display when you see different colored skin and hair on the backgroud of a kimono that matches. This video is such perfect tribute of beauty and grace to the traditional Japanese culture. Unfornately it's rare that you see someone not Japanese that is wearing a kimono.

  • You are so right, silentsoliloquy82. And thank you. You took the words right out of my mouth and in a more eloquent way than I could achieve.

  • Whoops, I went back and re-read my earlier comment when I was half-aleep. I apologise for the typos. Thank you, Akuchan, but I don't believe any articulation I provided could of done such a beautiful piece justice.

  • *Unfortunately even

  • Yes it's true. I've only known of one Geiko before that wasn't Japanese(she was American), and that wasn't even in person.

  • I would be afraid to rip such a beautiful garment.

  • Thank you for the comments, you guys.
