  • Richard Devine is the mutant god. Totally awesome!

  • Some people here are saying that this isn't music. I don't care though; all that matters to me is that my ears are loving it :-)

  • He is so underrated.

  • anybody know the track-listings, or where to get a better quality recording of this awesomeness? tanks

  • Wow. He looks like he's really getting into it...

  • There were some good moments in that, but I think people take this type of music wayyy to seriously. Because people don't understand it musically, they assume that the reason for that is because the music is so elite and above their comprehension when in reality it might just be a bunch of random sound. I know when I first listened to jazz music It sounded random and boring, but once I understood the classical knowledge behind it and started playing jazz it all makes sense now. But this idk.....

  • @ 1:30 it's aphax twain

  • I was actually being sarcastic, which does not translate well in forum chat, which was my mistake. Its all opinion anyways, when dealing with music, or noise that people call music.

  • lol the guy in the back is playing with a phone or something haha

  • this is bulshit!

  • There's no music in that "performance". He's a sound designer, not a musician. Maybe after a hit of acid I'd change my mind. ;)

  • is this supposed to be music? I dig experimentation, and try not to be snobby. However, there is a total lack of Funk, Soul, Rock or any distinguishable music dialog that I can hear. Making noise in strange ways, sure, but not really music IMO.

  • @fairchild73gmail to make the sounds is hard. most ppl think it crap, but if you make sounds or idm music you would understand.

  • loool, mega brain rave party....

  • I agree i am also a fan of richards and his technical skills but this set and a few of his others lack soul, I think his sets should include trks with some real structure for the average listener, not a technical exercise in synthesis.

  • i think there is a difference between nudging knobs up and down by somebody who doesnt know shit and nudging knobs up and down by richard devine dont u think?

  • Listening to the sound that is resulting from it I'd say maybe not.

  • Well juding from what you just said, its pretty clear you don't know the first thing about production software and effects/techniques, let alone be capable of judging devines technial abilities. On that note, i'm not one bit surprised you think its just mindless knob tweaking [even though he is clearlt just using traktor in the video haha]. Give it up man, you clearly don't get it, and you are ironically trying to accuse devine to be the one displaying the inabilities.

  • i totally agree... given the fact that devine helped develop some of the fx in most of the native instruments software i think the man knows what he is doing!

  • nudging knobs? man he is using traktor, and oing a mix. try looking before you comment.

  • hahaha, its a pretty obvious typo man. i meant 'doing', if you honestly could not figure it out!! even still, the two words, 'traktor', and 'mix' would of been a sufficient explanation. If you don't know what a mix is, i'm afraid you are lost.

  • i heard Cock/Ver 10 by aphex twin in there!

  • Hahah, so did I. Some of the drum sounds in there. Maybe they just used similar drum machine samples, though.

  • crazy tunes, love devine. pity he is using traktor though, and not doing a laptop set.
