  • My cousin and i are arguing over whether you are a 15 yr old boy or girl. cn u tell us ur gender.

  • I don't like kids with their "help" with computers

  • I'm just trying to make a fact that this antivirus is out of date. It hasn't been updated in a long time. Macs do get viruses!! You could download something like Kaspersky if you really want to be protected, or Sophos antivirus. I just think that the antivirus you're using is not really the best choice.

  • @MCCHProducer Yeah, you are right.

  • thanks man nice video, the link doesn't work anymore though and the software is not on the appstore, but I found it on their website

  • @bas949 where can i find it??

  • This shit doesn't fucking work. I'm unprotected like a prostitute walking down a dark ally alone.

  • @K1DDFLASH LMFAO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LEGEND!!!!!

  • @K1DDFLASH I feel yr pain.

  • @K1DDFLASH LOL

  • THANKS DUDE !!

  • Ok, Macs do get viruses but mac uses dont know if they have got them or not,

  • When I click protect my mac, nothing happens?

  • @Madmanluke12 same for me lol, I can use everything else though

  • My mum knows someone who works for apple and he has attended the biggest apple meetings in the world. Would a pre-pubertal kid know more about mac than him? I don't think so. Mac's do not get viruses.

  • Its not on that link anymore, sends u to just the apple download page, search up iantivirus, and go to their webpage and download

  • When your downloading anything it asks you for your administrator password which everyone has. The virus can't enter your Mac unless you type the password in. Unless you are very stupid to fall for it, people making virus's for macs are really out of luck because there is no way around that and most people know that as it is included in your user manuel. :P

  • Many hackers agreed that Mac OS is the easiest to hack, but pointless due to its tiny userbase.

Overall, it's actually like the human immune system; Windows is more secure due to a great amount of years developing "anti-bodies" aka codes that targets specific viruses. On the other hand, Mac OS is more susceptible due to low amount of abs.

  • the free version doesn't work

  • c net said that norton has a critical flaw... write mac os x virus in google and click on the cnet one and c for ur self

  • @badwolfshamma that was 5 years ago...at least what i found

  • @badwolfshamma that was from 5 years ago...(at least what I found)

  • People say there are no virus for mac even when they are because in Mac (as in Linux) nothing creating a system wide change happens without 1. Your knowledge and 2. Your permission. You have to type your password for everything. Microsoft tried this approach with User Access Control (UAC) but it kinda backfired. It's extremely rare (if not impossible) to see a Mac get infected by solely act of going to a website with rogue code on it so unlike windows boxes. Been using any variety of an OS Fr

  • the reason why we think that Macs don't get viruses..

==> ADVERTISEMENTS.... this apple is fooling us after all!!!

  • Does anyone know why they say there are none when there are. Personaly I think for Buisness what do you think?

  • Why there is an option where you choose to "Protect my Mac"?

  • this program WILL NOT WORK unless you have an intel-based mac.

don't know why you don't even mention that.

  • I got a big problem my sound dosent work is that a virus

  • iantivirus is no good. because it hasn't been updated since august of 2009. it works well for the threats it can detect. but its so out of date its almost pointless to use it. sophos antivirus is one of the best free antivirus for the Mac. it is slow and it noticeably effects system performance. but as far as the free ones go its probably your best choice. it still sucks though. all the good ones for Mac are paid programs. but if i had to suggest a free one i would say sophos.

  • i just got a macbook pro (for free & free programs) n-e-ways i have norton anti virus 1 year protection plan but i have never set it up because i feel i dont need it & what i have read on norton on mac is that it causes crashes, do u think i should set up norton? or just use that iAntiVirus? & what are ur experiences with iAntiVirus?

  • macs dont get viruses too many kids on youtube

  • @Saltyzmodz Ok, Run iAntivirus or any other antivirus installed on your mac if that fails backup all your files using TimeMachine and you will have to do a Fresh OS.

I'm am using Windows 7 and If my computer doesn't work all i have to do is use System Restore Point and it will go back to a previous restore time (Usually 7 days)

  • my mom and my sister have macs. my dad and i have pc's. my mom and sister think that its impossible for a mac to get a virus and my sister got one yesterday hahhaha.

  • Thx for All!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm new to macs and I'm gonna get my Mac book or Mac book pro in a few weeks any ways do u think this will protect me from the every day use on a Mac like email myspace YouTube and I think macs get less viruses cuz the coding is different than pcs and it's coding us so complex that it takes longer to hack into so normal hackers use pcs cuz it's easier

  • im on a mac and just downloaded a .exe virus on accident and it kept trying to open up java i had to delete it before it could keep opening it it was a pain in the ass

  • sams is a fukken kiddy faggent rate this vid 1 starns

  • Okay... so how do you get it?

  • what is the opening song ?

  • Yes and No... The only reason there arent any/many viruses for mac yet is because they hold such a small percentage of the computer sales. Why would a hacker spend his time making viruses for computers that make up less than I THINK 15% of the market? It is just not worth their time at this point. As apple competes for more of the market with windows and linux, there will surely be some viruses created for OSX.

  • hey u stupid full i work with apple and i have to say that your one of the most stupidest person iv ever seen the only way you can get a virus is from downloading an app that comes with a virus not thats in it that can delete your files it just makes the app run slower.so if you want to say shit about apple then you can return your mac back to apple. so keep saying shit and ill unsmart you cuz i now more about apple then you do sam. stupid apple freak think you know every thing.

  • @Roliva213b Actually, Your wrong. My dad works AT Apple and there have been cases of people getting hacked on their macintosh and getting a virus. Your a fool it's not just apps it's the hacker them self. BUT Not many macs get hacked easily it is hard to break their unicode. So shut up (:

  • @legodude4627 well no people that use apple computers can also block that other people hack their computer with system preferences. most smart apple people go to system preferences and jeck a box that says do not give people control of my computer stupid. people use apple remote desktop to hack other people. they first use terminal to get other computers server adress that are around them so shut the hell up u got us off topic where talking about viruses not hackers

  • well i think Sam is absolutely right because MAC being an OS get Viruses.

  • Yall need to shut up ight. If u don't be likeing this video. Hell don't be serching this video. I ain't saying Macs be getting viruses and all that crap. But don't be trashing ppls walls with all that crap cuz yall don't be likeing somting. keep yo ughly little mouth to yalls self ight.

  • Please give me the name of ONE virus for OS X?

  • @dhjdhj My mac was just accessed from another computer yesterday. I am thinking about downloading this program now.

  • thanks so much

  • does it also support anti spywhere

  • actually you are wrong, Mac OS X is an operating system. The apps are made up of code. I could write an app (code) that deletes files, shuts down etc.. That would be a virus. So I am sorry but people are making virus's for Mac OS X

  • @SamsMacHelp Yes, there are viruses for Macs (running OS 8-9), but no, there aren't any viruses for Mac OS X. There are only about nine trojans which are by far not as dangerous as viruses.

  • @SamsMacHelp I agree with you. Computers and viruses are made up of the same codes. It is possible to create a mac .. just a lot HARDER to make, because mac doesn't provide that kind of information...for instance...terminal codes, like command prompt codes in windows. so therefore, it will take a few years or months maybe for hackers to figure out how to use it to create viruses

  • @NevaehBeatez -.- you dont make programs on terminal or command prompt. you fail.

  • @SamsMacHelp ure a fagg no one would download those apps suck it bitch

  • @SamsMacHelp 1/10000 chance to get virus on mac

  • @gytis156

Hahaha!! Spoken like a true newbie! You do realize that the term "virus" includes trojans, keystroke loggers, backdoors, and malware, right? Just because your Mac isn't slowing down or getting a ton of popups doesn't mean that someone hasn't infected your machine and is now rooting your credit card and S.I.N. number right into their hands. Do you really think OSX protects you? Ignorance must REALLY Be bliss in your household!

I suggest you wake up before you're sorry!

  • @TheUberDeity If you want an OS with no Viruses get Linux. It's the only known OS To have no Viruses up to date -.-

  • @legodude4627

True. I'm just not into the unnecessary complexity of Linux. I can use it well enough, hack it well enough, but the software/hardware compatibility issues and general all around useage just don't appeal to me.

  • @legodude4627 HAHA it deos stupid fool

  • Comment removed

  • @gytis156 probably more....

  • @gytis156 the chance is probably smaller. Ive actually heard that the way to get a virus on a mac is to download an antivirus XD

  • @SamsMacHelp

im sorry you could not make a code to delete files or important system stuff because all of that is protected by the user root so even with a sudo command it would be hard....

watch my vid for more info

  • @SamsMacHelp haha. Please do make the code, I wanna see you try. dumbass

  • @SamsMacHelp

you are right.. macs get viruses like pc-s

  • @SamsMacHelp I know it sucks. People who make viruses should just go get a life. Operating systems like Windows 7 or Mac OS X are built with good care and security. Operating systems keep upgrading and the people of Microsoft try to keep you safe, but unfortunately hackers also upgrade their threats. Let's just hope good AV's like Norton can keep up the good work. ;)

  • @SamsMacHelp

I would like to see that, an application employing privilege escalation without user input.

Anyway, there are currently NO / ZERO Mac OS X viruses, only some trojans and other malware, that needs to be installed by the user and given access to the system by entering the admin password.

Look for the "Mac Virus / Malware Guide" on MacRumors to learn more about Mac OS X and available malware and the differences and ways to protect yourself.

  • @brudermeinesvaters IGNORANCE

  • @brudermeinesvaters Actually i nearly just got a virus

i went to a webpage all this shit came up then it downloaded a few files and tried to install them i stopped it deleted them, turned of my internet and scaned

    all god now though

  • @brudermeinesvaters That statement is ridiculous, of course there are viruses for MACs, just not nearly as many as for PCs. If you say that there are no viruses for MACs then you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The more popular MACs get the more viruses there will be for them.

  • Why get a antivirus for mac. there isnt any active viruses right now. plus why dose it say PC tool

  • really great. if you havent already, do a review on neooffice.. it basically is a free microsoft office for word. it converts the files into microsoft office files. download form apple website if your unsure

  • mac dose not get viruses.

  • thanks good vid i got this program and subscribed

  • iantivirus is ok

    but i recomend protectmac antivirus

    its worth the 50 bucks

  • well this sucks macs can get a virus now :( but thanks for the help

  • tnx @SamsMacHelp !!! your the great :D its the best ativirus ever :D and @mjdjuan dont worry its free and cool :D so be happy :D yey tnx again :D

  • Thx u forrr posting this vid out XD

I was wondering if you wud need to update this everyyear just like the norton or will it just keep activated until the end of the life of mac?? Sorry if this sounds stupid. Because i was thinking about getting my first mac laptop and i just wanna know if this program is just as good as norton. Helppp mehhh XD

  • No It doesn't sound stupid at all. I at first was wondering about this too and found out that it does in fact last forever. It's just as good as Norton for the Mac as all the threats are registered with this program and it updates with new ones automatically.

  • @SamsMacHelp o0o thats sweett thx u sooo much.
