@aydinburton93 the toyota FJ traction control can be defeated by pulling a fuse or disconnecting an abs pump electrical harness plug. friend of mine does it. he loves his FJ except that! In my 2008 jeep Wrangler JKU I can shut off traction control and keep roll mitigation on or turn it all off with the factory TC switch. when in low all electronic aids are turned off automatically. so to buy a new jeep is still alright.

@chowner it is a 1996, it had the np242 but swapped it for the np231 but my atlas is on the way, and my stock axles were D30f and a D35r and i got the rear 44 out of a 88 Cherokee, and the front out of a 76 EB...

@chowner A DJ is part of what a Wrangler was before it was known as a Wrangler. And yes there WERE 2WD TJs and YJs sold in the US. Have you ever seen a RHD mail Jeep? Usually used in rural areas, they had dead solid beam front axles.

Also there is no choice on the lockers or gears the rubican comes with lockers and 4.10 gears. Every jk x sport and Sahara model have came with a front d30. Also some 07 had d35 rears and all new 11 sans the rubican have a d30 front and Chrysler 8.25 rear.
I actually own a 08 x unlimited and you probably aren't old enough to drive.

@chowner it is a 1996, it had the np242 but swapped it for the np231 but my atlas is on the way, and my stock axles were D30f and a D35r and i got the rear 44 out of a 88 Cherokee, and the front out of a 76 EB...

@chowner please stop posting, the JK was by far, NOT the first Jeep to have 4WD as an OPTION. Look up what a Jeep DJ is, and also realize there were commercial versions of the YJ and TJ available that were 2WD.
