  • that's just like your opinion man

  • My only question is, how do you avoid the regrip on your left arm after you break the grip? I have tried this and keep getting stuck rebreaking that grip and the guy bails and switches positions and the game changes.

  • 02:35

  • seriously i dont know how this goes from watching a spider guard pass to comparing marcelo and bj penn... roger gracie would kill alessio sakara in a bjj match. rafael mendes would kill chris lytle in a bjj match oh and ummmmmm saulo ribeiro would kill gabe rudiger and richie hightower in a bjj match both at the same time.

  • @fawaz3846 akin to my dad would beat your dad. kids

  • That is a very nice version of the knee across pass. I like the whole series, but how often am I caught in spider that way? I just brain fart trying that many complex moves, but the sprawling knee across is nice compared to mine which is a tripod knee across. Mine is good too,but this will ensure I don't get swept by higher level guys.

  • does any one know if rickson and marcelo have rolled b 4?? that would be intense to watch!

  • Great! I really needed an option against this kind of guard. It`s a pain in the ass to me.

  • LOL...kepa...yea all the guys you mentioned are awesome and have beaten Marcelo. But are not all of these people much larger? All blackbelts that have a nice weight advantage on him?...hmmm...Marcelo is the great no matter how you look at it!

  • Exactly, Tereré is probably the one closer to his weight class but the rest come on.

  • Marcelo is the master simply awesome

  • Most BJJ try to learn TAI BOXING or BOXING before getting into MMA,and this

    because of the DAMN RULES;

BJJ is good enough and if there is any

addition into it ,it should be STAND UP

GRAPPLING,but TIME LIMIT on THE GROUND changed the training and THE

MAIN POINT of UFC.THE more you add rules, the more you give advantage to

    bigger,stronger,younger,quicker guys:

THE more SPORTIF and less MARTIAL ARTISTIC and REALISTIC.

  • is true that MARCELLO is a chain saw

in the BJJ and NO GI also, but don't forget that BJ had a sparring game with LEO VIEIRA in which LEO was trying to pass

his guard and for more than 20 mn ,BJ

was shrimping away without attacking;BJ is still training in BJJ and nogi,BUT OF course MARCELLO is the best in the world.

  • BJ and Leo were both going light.

  • Mr. Marcelo Garcia is truly a master!

  • marcelo would destroy bj in a jj match in mma it would be other way around

  • I would love to see a Marcelo vs Penn WITH the gi match!!!!!!

  • Fuck Drysdale! Hail Garcia!

  • Good thing about opinions is it is your opinion. Drysdale clearly beat garcia with a nice brabo set up. Jacare beat him garcia numerous amount of times. Terere Beat garcia numerous times. Roger Gracie beat him. Marcelo is great but he is not the best. Before criticizing give respect to the other grapplers who beat him also before defending his dick.

  • depends on what is the defnition of 'the best' to get around the opinion problem and make it clearer. Pound for pound I would have to say Garcia is the best because he can handle large guys so well. His technique is just brilliant

  • no doub that Garcia is good on his Gi grappling but with out Gi plus puch and kicking hi should stay away from it, MMA or other league is bad for Garcia health.

  • the reason marcelo is the best, is because he is such a small guy, he competes in -75 kg, and yet, tapes out his oponnet's in the open weight all the way to the semi-finals

  • people say garcia is the best because every fighter you mentioned outweighs in by several several pounds, theyve beat him in the absoulte division roger, jacare, drysdale are friggen huge... roger and drysdale especially, technique wise marcelo is second to none and hes always in the finals and semifinals in absolute, but in his weight class he is king

  • and how much do those guys weigh, and lets not even start on drysdale's bjj losses.

  • well then you should mention that Garcia also tapped out Drysdale twice before his loss to him

  • my comment is in regards towards remainsoftheundead with f--- drysdale! Hail Garcia! Comment above. I'm not taking any credit away from Marcelo, he is a great competitor, great instructor. Im just saying in my opinion he is one of the best but not the best. Technique wise look at roger gracie, everyone knows what he is going to do, sweep, pass the guard, mount, choke. Simple and easy because he does it to everyone. Jacare is only about 10 pounds more than marcelo, if that. Has marcelo beat

  • Marcelo has beat jacare

  • when has he beat jacare at the black belt level? Please specify.

  • him, no. And there is no huge weight difference. Terere was in the same weight class and sometimes in the lower weight class then marcelo and still beat him. Terere did the same thing in absolutes he competed in. So pound for pound I would say Terere, his technique is just insane.

  • salute to the master ossssssssssssss!

  • marcello isnt only great instructor but also a great

champion, even ,if by accident some people they were

victorious ,facing him, they know that they dont stand

a second chance; HE IS A thinkher and his X guard ,the

most practical and powerful; Good luck to him.

  • Best arm drag in the game too! Marcelo is p4p best grappler in the world.

  • what about bj penn?

i would love to see those two grapple

  • I agree, both of them fight or grapple at about the same weight, so the match would be one strictly about technique.

  • BJ Penn is great, but I dont think he will have any chance whatsoever with Marcelinho. Gi or no gi, marcelo will just run throug him.

  • i don't think marcelo would run through him. it'd be a competitive match, but i agree marcelo would win. he's just a step or two ahead of bj

  • @josedelagaca1 FUCK bj fuckin usless penn

  • @josedelagaca1 yes marcelo would kill bj penn in a straight grappling match. and bj penn would kill marcelo in a mma match. i dont know why people even use these comparisons bj hasnt done competitive bjj in quite a while i seriously dont get why people even make these comments.

  • @josedelagaca1 ,BJ has 10mn training with LEO VIERA ,who

tries to pass BJ open guard and LEO is EXPERT of GUARD passing ,and he could not!

BJ ,still trains and teach JIUJITSU! You will be surprised by the OUTCOM! He is well rounded,YOU KNOW!?

  • @MegaHitman666 ok listen leo vs being gentle against bj, leozinho would have crushed him if he wanted to

  • @josedelagaca1 gotta agree just as Penn would stretch (knock the fuck out) marcelo in an mma match.

  • Penn would just make up an excuse as to why he lost and get lawyers involved....as usual. He needs to quit....it would do MMA a great favor.

  • @Nisp Best sport jiu-jitsu grappler, you mean. His style doesn't translate well into the cage or street.

  • @Nisp er no, like you im a big marcelo garcia fan, marcelo garcia grapples like a god and hes even nicer than jesus, just an awesome guy to be around but the best grappler in the world is roger gracie

  • @poganla123 I still think Marcelo is better p4p, Gracie is like 6'4'' and and Garcia is like 5'8''?

  • hey.. isnt that richard simmons?

  • Brazilian Style

  • Marcelo Garcia is a great instructor!!!!!!!!!
