  • holy crap is this a trance version of bach? wow like it! I was wondering if Laibach's done anything lately!

  • I think this video requires a pretty long description. I'm kind of interested in figuring out what in the hell was going through the mind of the person who put this music together.

  • no way to comment... this is the way beetween art and sience.. only thinking and nothing more to the star...

In music, counterpoint is the relationship between two or more voices that are independent in contour and rhythm and are harmonically interdependent. It has been most commonly identified in classical music, developing strongly during the Renaissance and in much of the common practice period, especially in Baroque music. The term originates from the Latin punctus contra punctum meaning "point against point". wikipedia.

  • LOL xD

  • 6 people don´t know anything about the "Kunst der Fuge"

  • @tiefenlot Die Kunst der Fuge ist ein Zyklus von 16 Fugen, alle von Johann Sebastian Bach nach strengen Regeln komponiert. Alle Fugen (Contrapuncti) basieren auf einem einfachen Thema.

  • Very interesting modern version. Maybe Bach would like this if he could hear this!

  • @camposi

  • you are only as fantastic as my mind can make you....you are nothing......I...I mean...you are fantastic...!!

  • No way: Bach sounds effective even if played with ukulele and gamelan.

And what's more, Mozart's or Beethoven's music can be easily ruined by modern revisions, yet Bach's suffers thousands different tweakings without losing its fascination. A true mystery.

By the way: something quite like this can be found in Uri Caine's double CD of Variations on Goldberg Variations.

  • this is WOW!!

  • I won't call it an improvement or anything like that, but i really like this.

  • Wieder mal was Neues.

  • sometimes something is perfect. Trying to do it differently just results in something not as good. Laibach failed this time. This is not great, not even good. Just.. noise.

  • @methanbreather ...Beauty is in the e ar of the beholder...

  • why are they all called contrapunctus?

  • @purpleshrykull: I think it is a terminus technicus to a piece done in fuge. Bach had it called this way.

  • @purpleshrykull

    I don´t know - maybe J.S. titled them so?!?

  • nice !! plz do contrapunctus 14 : ) that would so sweeet !!

  • I would love them to do some of wagners work along with bethoven.

  • genius .....

  • beautiful

  • I would'nt call it a "mix" or a "remix", since so much more work is made behind this interpretation.

  • yep, it's very unique
