Like many others have told me, wrestling is a business. You can have the most IMPRESSIVE talent in any promotion, but if they can't sell (Meaning money, tickets or merchandise) in any department that the company goes for, then they're practically useless in terms of marketing. This happens alot with the "youngsters" with the most talent than with the veterans.
I've been watching wrestling since 97 and have seen epic moments/wrestling before hand and I have watched TNA and have put on great matches but the product is Lame,WWE hasn't been great since 01'but has its moments after dating back in 05 it has been painful to watch but nowadays they dealt w/alot of heat due to the Benoit deaths,etc.cause them to change to PG(for image reasons),so its no surpise wrestling is lacking interest but I do try to give WWE a chance but I can't watch TNA anymore

Sting is old and has a knee injury. He can't suck it up and compete for very long like the young guys can. Thats why they had Rhyno get "Beat Down" by the MEM, and fight sting with a "sore" back.

Now I won't knock the WWE for having a slow style with less spots because A) the spots are dangerous & it tears their bodies up, & B) Things got pushed so far, that nothing was shocking any more & and it actually got to a point where spots like a Powerbomb off the side of a steel cage got no reaction. So things needed to slow down I think.
But I will fault the WWEs style for watering everybody down to the point that they all have the same style & everybody work the same match over & over.

MMA is a competive sport like basesball, hockey, football, soccer, boxing ect. You cant compare it with pro wresling there two different worlds. They cant be like pro wreslting because its all real the punches, kicks ect are not held back like in pro wrestling thats why they cant fight everyweek becuase its to dangerous. When all the option they have left for a PPV mainevent is Rhino- a jobber at best who rarely wins any important matches, vs Sting, who isn't convincincing in this role, there's a problem!

The thing is, the stories were better, the hype more believable, the matches were more anticipated.
One thing they SHOULD go back to the past for is to have actual title hunts.
Batista was probably the last guy who had an actual 'hunt" Now they are being considered "oppurtunities".

Like many others have told me, wrestling is a business. You can have the most IMPRESSIVE talent in any promotion, but if they can't sell (Meaning money, tickets or merchandise) in any department that the company goes for, then they're practically useless in terms of marketing. This happens alot with the "youngsters" with the most talent than with the veterans.

I've been watching wrestling since 97 and have seen epic moments/wrestling before hand and I have watched TNA and have put on great matches but the product is Lame,WWE hasn't been great since 01'but has its moments after dating back in 05 it has been painful to watch but nowadays they dealt w/alot of heat due to the Benoit deaths,etc.cause them to change to PG(for image reasons),so its no surpise wrestling is lacking interest but I do try to give WWE a chance but I can't watch TNA anymore

TNA need to get rid of the MEM storyline, finish it with Sting turning face. Where is the TNA that listened to the fans? Where is the TNA that i saw in 2003 that made me draw into their product? If i saw this kind of product back then I would of stuck with WWE! Now I won't knock the WWE for having a slow style with less spots because A) the spots are dangerous & it tears their bodies up, & B) Things got pushed so far, that nothing was shocking any more & and it actually got to a point where spots like a Powerbomb off the side of a steel cage got no reaction. So things needed to slow down I think.
But I will fault the WWEs style for watering everybody down to the point that they all have the same style & everybody work the same match over & over.

i tried to tell these guys like a year and a half ago that tna would never compete with wwe and no one wanted to hear it. the product they were pushing when tna was interesting was only appealing to hardcore wrestling fans. that cant be your only audience-thats why tna went to taking wwe guys and trying to copy wwe writing. i have recently heard that mcmahon is talking about putting on a new show on thursday nights so he obviously smells blood.

boxing is a part of mma but that doesnt mean that they know how to box at all... Brock Lesnar "boxes" but he couldnt last one round against roy jones junior for example. MMA has no honor code where you are allowed to hit someone even after u knock them down while at the same time being for sissies in the sense that fights can be stopped from bleeding on the eyes which does not happen in boxing. People die in boxing and u better believe that lesnar would NEVER be a heavyweight champ in boxing.

How can something where you beat people up and fight for many be for "fags". In boxing you fight almost as much as a pro wreslter wrestles but in mma you can only have around 14 fights before you call it quits becuase its much more dangerous then boxing.

I feel bad. I like Bill and Doug's videos. I agreed with a lot of what they said, sometimes I didn't but what made me enjoy the videos was the passion. The passion these guys had to see a good wrestling product. It's sad to see they lost love for it.
We can all wish for WWE Attitude to come back and classic ECW and TNA from 2002 to 2005 but wrestling is a business. WWE is still making a lot of money, TNA is now trying to emulate the WWE formula...

They cant be like pro wreslting because its all real the punches, kicks ect are not held back like in pro wrestling thats why they cant fight everyweek becuase its to dangerous. I just don't know where TNA- MEM thing can possibly go. Potentially not a bad gimmick, but it ran its course in the 1st 2 weeks..Just doesn't seem to be enough oppostion there to work properly - not a big enough stable on whole to account for 2 rival sides. When all the option they have left for a PPV mainevent is Rhino- a jobber at best who rarely wins any important matches, vs Sting, who isn't convincincing in this role, there's a problem!

Well, if I was running TNA wrestling, I'd capitalize on the overall slump as best I could and use it to make a push in the ratings.
They should be throwing their best work out there now while WWE is losing more interest, but first they have to get back to doing what they were doing right before.
Be the alternative; don't just say you're the alternative and have a product that isn't an escape from the mundanity that is WWE.
