actually, Page didnt use a tonebender for his 1970 RAH performance, his hiwatt heads were wired to have a hell of a lot more fuzzy rich gain. which is, in my opinion, one of his, and of all time, best tones.
really? I always thought he did, combining el34 drive with the tonebender for a more pre amp style gain, giving the best of both. it is my favorite page tone too
well he did earlier on, when he was using the aribiter power 100 plexi style amp for a brief spell, and before that he used various combos such as his supro 1690T in the studio with the tonebender, and some of his other amplification which can be seen on the Led Zeppelin DVD (the one with albert hall, madison square, earls court, and knebworth, with the Danish TV extra clips, which is where im talking about.) but no his heads were specially modded. thats why they say custom 'Jimmy Page' on them.
oh, and if you want to see some information on pages setup as in EVERY GUITAR and EVERY AMP go to freewebs [.]com/wholelottaled. I'm not trying to spam you and its not even my website but some cool stuff there. And im not a bot.
are you completely deaf???? im sure it sounded even better if it wasnt degraded by a camera mic. no shitty playing there man! i REALLY dig the part from 0:58-1:04, very Jimmy Page, I've been playing that lick quite a lot as well. great playing again man!
well that was rumored. he was actually just very interested in the occult. and stairway to heaven. i think that was Plant's idea, and it may not have even been on purpose. but there is that one part where he prounounces lyrics a little weird. "if theres a bustle in your hedgerow, dont be alarmed now. its just a spring clean for the may queen."
yeah i always thought that part of the song was weird... I was just kidding about the satanist thing though, and you can play pretty much any song backwards and pull words out of it though...
its an audio brothers reissue Hiwatt DR103. the cab is a mojave 2x12 with celestion g12h30 anniversary speakers. the guitar is an early 70's guild bluesbird. i had to put the camera there because thats the only place it sounded good.
THAT'S NOT SHITTY PLAYING LITTLE DUDE! SOUNDS GOOD!!!!

rekcilkcid 2 years ago
It was an audio brothers reissue from 1996 I think. It sounded just like my 1974 DR103 i owned about a year or two later.
