Hi Nancy..i can carve for a few hours a day ..before my arms feel like there falling off :)

they are difficult to finish, because i can see how much work i have to do ...so you just keep going...i would say several months...not sure what the time would total up to ...a lot of hours...thank you my dear friend :))

I´ve made maybe 12 stone carvings over the last 20 odd years...and they take a long time to make..sometimes or most times they take months to finish...

this stone(Portland stone) is really hard...

Your work, your sculpture, your choice of music, has opened new concepts...I've never heard of ambient music before...it's wonderful. I have been painting again this week. I'm feeling very good. An earthy tecture with organic forms and contours. The lighting gave "warmth" to the sculpture. The music matched the lighting perfectly.
