I think it is a coincidence. Think about all the times you think of somebody and they dont call ore send you an e-mail. It just seems like that because they call at the exact same time you are thinking of them, but if you think about it i would guess that the majority of times you think of someone they dont call you.

yep connected in ways most people do not understand. You should also read Julian Jaynes Origins of the bicaramel mind, as it explains the origin of consciousness and the possible existence of an subconsciousness, but it Jaynes gives several examples of this in ancient cultures.

You're right man. There really is something to what you are saying. Its happened to me enough times to know. I even tried to learn how to use the phenomenon for my own advantage without much success. I've noticed much synchronicity in everyday things even without other people being involved with it. I don't claim to have psychic skills, but I would not be surprised if such things are possible. Too many times I've noticed psychic phenomenon in such a way that it seemed much more than chance

Consider this :

The function of consciousness is to sort, store, and organize sensory input. Without it, we would be nothing more than a set of reflex actions.

I believe the collective unconscious is both human nature and the nature of the machine. Everything has to be learned in context of something you already know. For example, to understand what a Ferrari is, you must first understand what a car is.

The collective unconscious, viewed this way, is the storehouse of archetypes from which we build our understanding of everything else.

When I say it's "human nature" I mean these archetypes rely on the architecture of the brain, which is all we are.

Once again it seems like you're falling for some bullshit stuff. You need to consider what scientific evidence there is for things, or if it's even reasonable to believe in these things without evidence. What you're talking about is telepathy in a different package. We do not have an organ capable of sending and recieving signals across large distances. That would use a lot of energy aswell. @devilsaddendum I usually don't believe in things without evidence, which is why i am agnostic. But synchronicity is on whole other level for me personally. I have had countless encounters with it which is why i believe in it now and they cannot be coincidences simply because the more you notice synchronicity the more it happens in peculiar ways.

@F1N1SHEDD Our brains are designed to see intent in everything we see, which allows us to understand other people very well. This also has the side effect that we see intent where there is none. Meaningful coincidence is our brains way of trying to understand why good things happen (or bad), so that it can be repeated or avoided. It's the same principle as when we see faces in the clouds. The brain is not designed to see things the way they are, but the way it's useful for us to see them.
