What a great marching band! I taught for one of the TOP 5A programs in Texas and in the U.S. and can honestly say this band is awesome. Unfortunate that someone in your band family died, but great that you dedicated this performance to her b/c it was a great performance & tribute.
The same thing happened to a high school band, in St. James MO. Just on their way to a six flags trip and their bus crashed into a truck and the young girl that kept everyone calm after everyone made it out safely, unfortunatly the girl died after help arrived. So, both your instructor and the young girl from ST. James Missouri and watching you all from above.
I go to Madison High School and was the color guard captain this last year. We were at the competition just before their loss. They're an amazing band and always gave beautiful performances. They deserve every single standing ovation received.
I go to Timpanogos High School and I march with the band. This was the most powerful performance I've ever seen, and I doubt there was a dry eye in the stands. Heather was a terrific asset to the marching community and the world, and she will be greatly missed. That scripture makes me tear every time I hear it now.
It was a terrable loss. I live in Virgina, and I attend Briar Woods High School and Im a Freshman. My friend from the Orem High School marching Band told me about it, and I then told my Band as an inseratinoal story before practice. I am SOOOOOOOO sorry for your loss.
Nice job American Fork and congratulations on your caption awards.
So sorry for your loss and although these are difficult times for you all, the bond that I see just from this video alone shows you will all get past this tragedy together...God Bless.
A wonderful performance and tribute. For those who devote their lives to this activity, nothing is more gratifying than to see a heartfelt performance dedicated to the loss of an instructor, colleague or student.
Congratulations on your win. I am sure Heather would be very proud.
I can only imagine the pain you guys are enduring. The tears I saw on Sunday night, and last night, were some of the hardest things I've ever seen. Your show last night was beautiful- I'm sure that Heather is smiling down on you guys right now! Spectacular performance!
Even before the incident, I absolutely loved your show- I come from a military family, and the tribute you guys give is tremendous- thank you for honoring our vets.
