Solomon Burke, a soul music pioneer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee whose songs blended soul, gospel, country and R&B, has died. He was 70. Burke died early Sunday He was scheduled to perform in Amsterdam on Tuesday. Burke's biggest hits include his first single, "Cry to Me," and "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love," 1964. recorded by the Rolling Stones, most famous for its use in The Blues Brothers, starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. Dirty Dancing also popularized "Cry to Me," RIP

It beautiful jazz! Have you ever heard of jazz house compositions Valerio Minicillo? The First, Crazy Funky, wow! There is a wonderful video, which is LA MAGIA DEL SAX !
can anyone tell me what the name of the song is where that opening organ riff comes from? I have heard it in another song before but don't recall the title
The song is called Can't Turn You Loose by Otis Redding, aalynch30. If you watch the Blues Brothers movie, the guitarist with the long hair and beard is Steve Cropper. He co-wrote the song with Otis and was his partner along with the bass player, Donald "Duck" Dunn. Their band was called Booker T and the MG's and they also recorded an instrumental (and top ten hit) called Time Is Tight which is very similar to Can't Turn You Loose. It's here on youtube. I'm sure you will like that song also.
Elwood's sideburns weren't that huge. They are more Jake's style. Also he needs to play harp in the blues style. He is playing it folk style. Plus the Dan Akroyd moves are way off.
well, the guy playing the bass has duck dunn's hairstyle; interesting that jake and elwood have the same sideburns! hehehe. very classy, though. good job, guys!
this is the first time i ever left a texy on here and this video made me do it these boys are what 16 17 years old they got it together i loved this movie always have thanks for takin me back boys thank alot
you guys are awesome! the guy playing elwood did a great job singing and the guy playing jake was perfect. jake would have been the harder one to play
congrats!! did you win the talent show? or was it a contest?
Glad to see and hear people actually playing and performing live music, as opposed to the 300 other versions of this song being lip-synced or karaoke'd.
