I have ubuntu 10 running on a 1.5 ghz with 1 meg ram. uns fine. Windows 7 had the hiccup and yes I have experianced that feature they call the BSOD. Linux does not have that feature. If my gui freezes just restart the the interface. no need to reboot.

e probado muchas distros de linux, y aun no se cual de todas es mas decepcionante, el echo de tener software libres a medio terminar, no tiene comparacion con windows, Linux tiene muchos fuegos artificiales en cuanto a ventanitas transparentes y desktop 3d, pero finalmente cual es mas productivo? Actualmente manejo windows 7 y Osx leopard en mi pc. esos si valen la pena.

I installed Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10 on the same notebook...

Windows 7 is producing corrupted graphics, whereas Ubuntu is running smoothly.

its because windows has always been a unstable operating system which is because microsoft has always been built on e.g. they fix problems with updates which interferes with another programmeing source code where as ubuntu when installing updates it deletes the source code with the problem and installs the new one with the problem fixed (what ever the problem is) without code interference . image windows as an upsidedown tree it carnt stay in same place without help.

I paid for my own torture... I paid for the Windows 7 upgrade..

and I am not the only one reporting corrupted graphics on lenovo T400 because Windows 7 drivers don't support this and don't support that.

I installed and ran Ubuntu 9.10 (FOR FREE, mind yo), and EVERYTHING worked! No corrupted graphics or funny issues.

Microsoft doesn't get it. They should adopt Linux 3D Desktop and get it over with.

Sad to say there is currently no fix for Win 7 video issues.

hola mi pc no es la gran cosa

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.01 ghz singlecore am2

RAM 1.7 gb

VGA onboard nvidia gforce 6100 nforce 405 256 mb shared memory y ubuntu 8.04.2 x64 bits corre mas rapido que el vista .

Asi que para correr esos efctos no s necesario tener una super pc , mi pc es ensamblada no es de hp ni nada por el estilo.

los efectos graficos de linux estan en el pasado... los de mac igual y los de windows ni se diga... pero esa interfaz totalmente aero da una nueva sensacion, que por alguna extraña razon hace creer que es mejor que cualquier distro de linux...
