helvetekeiser is right .... Thank God for Bach - I believe he planted the seeds for metal ! he's the king of the music spritual underworld in my eyes , as he loved soloing over dark & eerie chords &he created mind blowing notes & riffs for his time :)
by the way - i would like to take lessons from this dude - i'll pay any price
This is the kind of stuff I'd like to learn on guitar. Many heavy metal shredders 'waste' a lot of notes on their riffs, but the classical artists seemed to know where to draw the line. This is a good example of finger style playing IMO.
actually this isnt by bach helvet....people just say it because it was written on the music....2 problems, it doesnt sound like bach, and bach had a personal inscription he used for his music. which is a JSB intertwined, not found on the music for this anywho. its actually written in pre-classical style, known as the renisance.(thats right bach isnt classical music, he writes in a style older than classical)
Actually, Bach didn't exactly write in the Rennaissance style either. He's pretty much definitive of what we call "stile antico", which is the characteristic Baroque era style of counterpoint.
So true, Im surprised any one caught that i accidently type rennaissance rather than baroque. I had realize my mistake immediately after typing hitting "post comment" but well...most of the world doesnt realize the baroque era even existed and i had a class to get to and didnt feel like trying to figure out what the hell the funky letters you have to type into do more comments at the bottom of the screen were (dont you hate those? they drive me nuts, they really never do look like letters)
it sounds like Bach, and there is no original manuscript so there is no JSB inscription, and renaissance was before baroque, and this toccata is written in stylus phantasticus; which Bach learned from Buxtehude, Bruhns, Bohm, etc.
NEO CLASSICAL!
