If you ignore the anger, it's really not helping..you need to ask why they are angry and talk to them about it..then it might be better ..could solve the problem from happening again..

if my kid went to a buffet and stuck his entire body under the glass to reach the dressing on the other side i would likely fight him in the parking lot or perhaps just leave a pamphlet for a school for children with special needs on his bed

This kind of petting is why our kids are shooting each other instead of just trading some skin in the school yard.Parents and limp wristed counselors telling them to just let them be themselves and they will figure it out on their own. Yeah right, I didn't act the fool when I was younger because I knew my dad would go to my backside.

This deals with the symptom but not the cause, anger happens, the kids might be behaving well but they will still feel it.
