i think thats a house centipede. they're like super fast and they are all over my house too! i like googled it to find out and everything. they're so icky.
Once I saw a giant spider moving across the floor. I assume it was walking... I was at my brothers house and my sister in law considers me the designated bug squasher. So I quickly step on the giant spider. Then a hundred or so BABY spiders run out from the big spider.
I don't know what you were spraying the bug with, but your best bet is just to squash it. And watch out for baby spiders.
