@TheHellsMinions you'd probably blow the speaker. Guitar amps are built to handle certain frequency ranges that a normal bass usually exceeds. You can get some tone out of it, but you shouldn't try to push the volume on it. My suggestion is to get a dedicated bass amp. You'll have much better results.

@v0Ray0v Fingers aren't always ftw, it depends on what type of music you are playing. If you want a sharp sound you'd generally use a pick. Good bassists learn to master all techniques.

Pick is for Metal, Post-metal, heavy metal, and so on.

Slap is funky, could be blues, and some R&B (depends on what you like)

I played this with all three, they all sounds great since there's a mixed up genre on this song :)
