  • i agree andy , i went though all this bollox when halflife 2 1st came out , when i got home after buying disc i had to install it i then had to log onto steam to unlock the thing :( which at time i was only on 1/2mb connection + it took over 2hrs before i could play it. (good job i had just got broadband as i would of been screwed on 56k)

    i think now

  • Good video

  • do you just play PC games Andy or do you own a console as well? being a footy fan did you ever get into Football Manager?

  • @drafty2011 Oooohh yes!! I love my footy manager mate. I haven't got the latest version mind. Funny thing though, I love it and I hate it at the same time! I start off well, then eventually it all goes to pot and I get sacked! lol. (I manage Wolves by the way. lol)

  • @UKGSTV the new football manager games didnt quite match up to the standard of the older ones, I think they tried to bring in too much. when you have options where u can do specific training for certain players and a worldwide network to search for players it just takes too much time....it sounds great in thoery but for me there is just too many features now. I am always Everton, once you have a good season I find u get sacked as soon as you dip below that. lol

  • @drafty2011 Do you remember Championship Manager 2? That was the best one. Not so complex but not too simple. Still hard to master without being over the top. It also had voice commentary on the games if you ran it at normal speed. :D

  • @UKGSTV yeh that was my fave one as well, sometimes I would pick a really crap team and build up tp the top flight....lots of fun. must have spent hours playing championship manager 2 on my amiga.

  • @drafty2011 I remember being the Liverpool Manager on that one once, and I did so well on it (top for several seasons + winning cups) that I thought I'd try going to another club. Wish I never bothered. After that I couldn't do any good at all!! lol. Never forget that, and we're talking some years ago now. Stupid the things you remember isn't it? :-)

  • @drafty2011 I forgot to mention, I have also created a fair few 'face packs' for Football Manager that you may see bundled in Megapacks. My name on those is 'AlienAndy'. Of course 'Wolves' was my first one. ;-)

  • Football Manager 2012 now wants you to install via steam..which completely KO'd my computer because of the OTT piracy malarkey

  • This is part of the reason why I just stick to playing the old games, pretty much anything from the PS2 era and before.

  • @29billyclementine I remember having the game 'Burnout' on the hard drive. That was superb! Used to run perfectly. :-)

  • Ubisoft also have a stupid policy of constant connection to the internet for single player games.

I got a free copy of a Prince of Persia game when I got a new graphics card and I couldn't get the bloody thing to play because the Ubisoft servers weren't running, 5 minutes and I cracked it and it worked fine. All this anti-piracy measures are a joke.

  • @TheIronTyrant That's ridiculous. How can you enjoy playing a game when you have these problems? Bloody stupid. You have done what I've had to do just to play it! What a joke.

  • Off subject but this just in, search this online not on youtube....

"It's the end of the world as they know it: How growing numbers of American 'preppers' are getting ready for Armageddon (by stockpiling food and guns)"

  • @MrREAPER2014 Yes, I have noted a few people doing this. Might be a wise thing if Israel decides to start WW3!!

  • @29billyclementine Let me guess.... Evolution X by any chance? ;-)

I had the same. Loved that xbox.

  • its like every game thay fuck it up you buy a game because you like it next god nows why thay change the controls and you have to start again why fix what is not broke in the next game.does not make sence?.

  • God that dam game seem to much trouble to go out and buy mate. I still love sim city and games that you have to try and make money from in the non real world. I love tycoon games too lol :)

  • @itsCARLDOUGLAS Me and my step-Son Dave used to be addicted to Sim City 2000. We used to stick each others saved cities onto floppy disks and take them round each others house to show off what we've done! lol. I think we were addicted to 'Doom' at that time too! How things have changed.

  • The problem i have with battlefield 3 and what turned a lot of people off was the fact that it required you to download (origin) which is some stupid game browser/online store that is run by EA, also in order to play online you had to use internet explorer to search for games etc.

Considering the games main focus was online mulitplayer, they did a poor job with their ideas and design which as cost them a lot of sales.

  • Hahaha you should see my face...I'm o just about a week late shaving. BF3 does crash from time to time...my friend in the UK I play with all the time says EA is a piece of shit. I pretty much think 95% of the time it is awesome that 5% of BS will piss you off though. I play BF3 too much and I have no patience at all...if it crashes I just start it again. Lol....had to get a hacked game to make it work.

  • @MrREAPER2014 We need these hackers/crackers to allow us to play our 'originals'!! lol

  • @MrREAPER2014 You don't need to play with the pretend guns mate, you have the real things!! ;-)

  • @UKGSTV But it's a 2 hour drive where I shoot and the cost of ammo. Every time we go out there it sounds like a war and the cops got called once, the first time. They are cool though and said we are doing nothing wrong on our land we can have 200 people shooting if we wanted to lol. The cops even said there going to tell the people that called to calm down we're doing nothing wrong. I let the cop look at my osama targets and gun. He laughed because I also had pig fat gun oil I told him about lol

  • Fairplay Andy so glad you are a PC Gamer!! Get BF3 for the PS3 chap also i dunno if your a fan of the ARMA series but i got a bargain from Game in town, I got ARMA Anniversary Edition for £15. 8 Games for £15 is a bargain chap and it's the most realistic warfare simulator sim around except for the aircraft. Bollocks to COD mate i'm sick of everyone running around like headless chickens who does that in real war, BF3 is good though!! Watch "Arma 2 OA British Troops Ambushed by the Taliban" NS

  • @qprsmithy Nice one mate. I will definitely check that out!

  • bloody hell, two videos on the trot I have agreed with you. lol

  • @drafty2011 Hehehe. ;-)

  • EA were also responsible for screwing up one of my fav games, black and white 2!

  • Glad I play with old fashioned toys like lego, model kits (revel, airfix and some warhammer) and hornby.
