  • first off, osp and the sm58 ( which is old technology and a crap sounding mic) but osp and sm58 come out of the same factory in china!!. Ive been in the music industry for over 30 years at the distrubutor manufacturing end. it's funny how ppl think sure is better when then come from the same plant!!

  • Is this like comparing Cocoa Puffs and Cocoa Commets?? Or Robitussin and wal-tussin?? Or perhaps Bordens Milk and Great Value milk?? LOL

  • Shure sounds better for me.

  • Lol, isn't that cushion going to interfere with the cardioid pickup pattern and increase the feedback sensitivity?

  • Dude get the shure those aré the best mics the sound is a10 out of 10 i have a shure sm 58

  • Please! I need help! What microphone is better SHURE 518SB or ATR 20 ?!?!?! sorry for my bad english :( i need urgent answer :(

  • The SM-58 has better mids and lows than your knock off. Don't get me wrong, your knock off isn't bad. It's better sounding than say... an Audix, but it's not as nice as a Shure.

  • To bentleybass, You just might hear of an SM58 breaking if your guitarist keeps singing like he does in your videos. You don't know what you're talking about!

  • The DL-320 is a Shure SM58 clone!

Shure is always better than clones ;)

  • Do you ship to England?

  • Ok well my Cousin Mike Rodriguez Has one of those OSP mic, I myself have a 58. Honestly, the OSP Has awesome quality but if you are a serious Musician, Stick to the 58!

  • As a owner of the sm58 and seeing how good the quality is on the osp I'm very impressed what is the price on them?

I'm starting recording for my band and would like to get everybody a cool good quality mic for gigs.

Just because a sm58 has copies doesn't mean that the sm58 is superior it has many faults but, it's durability and consitency makes up for it.

Finally leave the guy alone he's just trying to do his job.

  • i tried clicking to add a description, but it didnt let me! :'(

  • All right guys.......if you will listen again to the presentation, you will hear me say that the SM58 is "ursurpassed" in its use across the world. I know that it is the #1 handheld vocal mic. There is no questioning that. The OSP mics is obviously (DUH!)a cosmetic copy of the 58, and as I said in the video, it is a great value for the price. BTW, have you even compared these two mics for yourself, factoring in the price? Or are you just making assumptions about the performance?

  • i can absolutely say that the sm58 is twice as good as the osp mic. osp is purely a knock-off of the sm58 and shure in general. sorry guys.

and also, why would you post audio comparisons on youtube? everybody knows that youtube has sub par audio.

  • Do you own both mics and have you run the comparisons yourself? Just curious as to the price you paid for each of the mics and how that factors into the comparison of value. That is what I presented in the video: The value of the mics. I clearly state that the SM58 is "unsurpassed" in its use worldwide, and that the OSP is a great value. I stand by those statements. And, YouTube is all about mass access to video, and I wanted to be able to show the rubber isolation ring, so YouTube was it.

  • well, i honestly have plenty of money so i don't mind spending a little extra on name brands. also, the isolation ring doesn't seem like that big of a deal considering that shure doesn't use it on the sm58, which has been the best entry level mic for AGES. to be honest, i think you guys should probably try to make it slightly more unique in design so it doesn't get compared to the sm58 so fast, but just an opinion

  • So, again I would ask.......have you actually made the comparison yourself? Before making absolute judgments about a product ("the sm58 is twice as good as the OSP mic...") it would be a good idea to substantiate your claims. Sorry, just being real. And, by the way, the SM58 does have a very similar isolation ring below the capsule that is designed to reduce handling noise. Are Polo and Lacoste really better shirts? Probably not, but people sure will pay more money for them. Crazy world....

  • first off, your a knock off brand. second off, there is a pretty big difference in buying shirts and buying microphones. the sm58 has a quality background and, honestly, i have never heard of one breaking. on the other hand, the osp is EXACTLY the same looking (i know, you guys did that on purpose), but it lacks the quality backing that shure always provides. this isn't because you guys are bad, but more because the osp is newer and does not have the backing of shure.

  • I'll take that (third) rambling post as a "no".

  • k....?

  • exactly.

  • Hi i have just found your ebay store on ebay.

Do you sell mic's to people in the u.k?

    please reply!

    (Aiden)!

  • Sure, no problem. Just email or call or make the purchase through eBay and we will get it shipped to you.
