Where ,the Guitar is kinda, Played rythymically Like a 'Sitar' in a circular way.pushes this along Nicely... Praise,, to Maharishi and Ja Lennon,Rin Gostar,pAALmACCA. & Geo HARI....
Well this sound a lot like the regular album version. But at least the acoustic guitar can be heard right from the beginning. I always thought it sounded rather strange.
I love this mix! This is labeled as Dear Prudence Take 1 Mix B on The Beatle White Album Deluxe Edition. I prefer it because it has a clean intro and not the annoying jet noise of the released version. I also love the clean ending with Paul's bass to the fore. I prefer this to the album version.

Sounds like someone took the original version and isolated John's vocals, put heavy reverb on them (a la solo Lennon), then put them back in (via 4 or 8 track recorder). As for the ending, I think it is the original, but we all know it with the fade out before this occurs.
I loved this clip, but they (the user who uploaded it or Youtube) deleted it... So thanks for putting this up, this is the best take <3 This goes directly to my favorites
Jackie Lomax sings on this song. Johns voice has 'echo' - and part of his vocal in missing - clearer harmonies... very interesting

Paul played drums on this song - Ringo had left the band, returning after a holiday

The bass is introduced much earlier in this outtake. Gotta love this raw version!

I've never seen John look so calm.

Unreleased take? It sounds exactly the same as the record.

There is nothing else in this world that is like the first 50 seconds of this song. The intro is pure bliss.

this song is about Mia Farrow's sister Prudence, who didn't want to come out because she was frying on acid.
kittieishere 2 years ago
@kittieishere Not sure that it has to do with Acid, but it is about when all of them, Mia, Prudence and the Beatles were in India together.

This is in a higher key. Otherwise it sounds the same as the White Album version. It may be slightly sped up.

@Timmerbo: Sounds to me like this is normal speed. Maybe the WA version was slowed down.

@Timmerbo This is in 'D', same as the album.

Sounds a little too much like the original to be believable.

Exactly!

@xXCptCharlesXx it can be the same basic track and not the final take of a certain part, like the vocals, I'd say. Cheers!
aoeria 4 months ago
@xXCptCharlesXx I agree. It sounds as though the guitar has a higher pitch, but the drum beat and singing sound the same.

What gives it away is that all the overdubs are the same, it's just a different balance and different reverb on John's voice.
My friends and I wore this album out playing it over and over when it was first released.

This isn't unreleased at all.Only your remix of it is. eldoctordub is right.

I think this the take that's on the album, but it's a different mix.
