TopM - what radio are you using? Stock or a different radio?
You control this plane very well. How long have you been flying? This is my first 4 chnnl plane, so I'm still learning. But you control this plane so well that I know, I would have lost control where you keep it going.
I've flown my plane in winds over 10 mph, and it barely even phases the plane. It's like the wind isn't there. This plane handles the wind very well, It's the first plane I've ever had where the wind doesn't change how it flies. It's a solid flying plane.
That was fun to watch. I love flying on windy days. On real windy days, it's almost like kite flying but with a plane. Great video. I was enjoying it right along with you. I loved it at 4:30, that was great! You make it look very easy. I'm impressed how well this T-28 appears to handle the wind. I'm sold, and look forward to buying one soon with the stimulus check.
Recently I let about 8 club members fly my T-28 after I bound a mode 2 DX7 to it. My radio is mode 1 and this prevented me from letting others sample this little foam bundle of fun.
After letting those other members fly it that day 6 of them have bought their own! LOL! We REALLY need to repaint a few of them to avoid the old "flying the wrong plane" thing from happening.
that was cool,i got mine today, flew twice, crashed, now nothing moves, not even the servos,i can only hear the beefing sound when i connect the battery but that's it!any clue what is wrong now?
alright. this is what happened to me. usually the main box with the chip/card thing is fried. same thing happened to me except only the motor wouldnt work. u probaly got it fixed since it was 5 months ago... but if not just go 2 yur local hobby shop and have them check it out.
i have a slo-v, i fly it around my road, i took off and with a good headwind it takes less than a second to take off, but i have some trouble landing with the dam crosswinds!!!!!!!!!!!, lol!

The trojan actually handles the wind pretty good. Not as good as the Stryker F27-c but still a great littel plane.

Thanks for the nice comments guys.
I'm still flying it and use a 1570mah Apogee and a 1900mah Thunderpower lipo as well as the 1800mah supplied with the plane.
Since posting this video at least two other members of our club have purchased this little foam warbird.

The winds that day were anywhere from 10 to 20 mph.
Don't fight the crosswind, use it! And have fun with it.
topmenace 4 years ago
what was the wind mph? I just got one of these planes and not sure if i'm ready to tackle any crosswinds yet.
