  • So stupid old baby bommer ,each day 10000 child death. You really don't care .I hope after you die you will came back as a poor child in south america

  • @ricklab12 you are a idiot

  • It makes me smile to see the comments acting as if electric vehicles are pollution free. ;-)

Maybe some day, but right now most of our electricity comes from fossil fuels and most people don't like the risks of nuclear energy.

The advantage of electricity to me isn't that it's pollution free but at least it's largely produced with American coal instead of Middle East oil.

  • lets see a bit of road rage, golf clubs at ten paces, ladies parking, fighting for spaces at local club., Cops chasing getaway buggies. custom fully tuned up buggies. (Grin).

  • Why not put golf cart trails on the sides of all roads? It would sure increase gas mileage.

  • I heard this place has a great cougers assc!,,,,,,,

  • Mine Gott Amerika is amazing!

  • Golly, looks pretty white there in The Villages!

  • @NonFerrousBueller Meaning what? I'm sure anyone of any race is allowed to enter that gated community. Just make sure you learn how to make money legally and save for retirement instead of smoking, drinking and drugging it all away.

  • Love the video. Good job.

  • LOL I am young but this looks SOOOO FUNN LOL

  • I can attest to this--they're everywhere. Just when you think you've found a car parking place there's a golf cart tucked into half the spot--so annoying!!!!

  • Imagine the decrease in pollution if EVERYONE switched to these.

  • love the golf cart drill team

  • That's fun

  • Air-Conditioning would be the most important to me. I KNOW it is hot and humid there! Very cool cruising! Probably less care thieves too!

  • if they can do this in "one" village then why not nationwide? Design areas so all necesities are within walking or carting distance -seve on fuel!

  • this how we do it in fla keep it gansta baby!

  • One two tree fo five, dem gata dont take no jive

    go gata

  • This is way better than driving 4,000 lb cars.

Yet, imagine how healthy everyone would be if they were riding bikes.

  • My teenage son really wants one, and I bet the insurance is way cheaper than his souped up Jetta.

  • When I retire, I think I am going to get my self one of these fancy golf carts and live in FL.

  • We have a small version in CA Lake San Marcos in San Diego County.

    Ecellent video

  • I love this place!!! We visit often and own a home there. In response, not all of us are Democrats; lazy or otherwise. There is a large Republican club here. Visit and visit often. The Villages is a fantastic community!!

  • check out the politics of The Villages management----hardly democratic.

  • Ok, so I could not get the wife to move here. But did visit back in 1991 I believe it was. What a nice promotion they sent us. One week, five days with accomadations and handing my $300.00 back to me when I arrived, to spend during my stay. Now a little late in life, but do wish to say, congradulations to those who are living their dreams. And thanks to the management for inviting us down from Kansas City.

  • they need to be in the parade

  • I'm looking forward to these days. I wonder how many to the gallon do they get?

  • @crazycatherder They're electric. Set up a solar charger and you're home free!

  • @crazycatherder

Most combustion powered golf carts aren't terribly efficient—evident from the smell of unburnt fuel whenever they start and stop (though there might be exceptions). Electric models are much better, without even trying very hard to be—and don't stink. ☺

  • syrvagabon - don't be a bitter hater.

  • Only in Florida...

  • @syrvagabon Obv troll is obv.

  • @syrvagabon Why are you so bothered.Just because you probably did not work long enough to qualify for soc.sec..Maby you worked without claimg your wages and cannot qualify.I see no reason to let it bother you when they bought it to give them some fun,not to anoy you!!!!!!!!!!

  • @syrvagabon - Are you kidding me?? The reason those people are even getting SS is because they worked their entire lives and paid taxes! Unlike toooo many that get it and don't. They didn't triple the debt, they just paid their taxes every payday and hoped for the best. And BTW, do you think that SS pays for that lifestyle? Those are some very hardworking people that are finally enjoying the fruits of their labor and if they choose, at any time, to be lazy, they earned it. Democrats? Really? =D

  • @syrvagabon

Yes! Don't you dare! I fucking earned it! It's not a hand-out; it's an insurance policy, into which 15% of nearly everything i ever earned has been paid.

I highly recommend that you learn how these things actually work (including whose watches most of the last 14 trillion dollars of national debt [which in the past 3 years has risen by about 55%—not 300%] occurred on), before parroting your GOPbagger idols—like the mindless stooge whom they are counting on you to be.

  • Very cool!

  • This is a great video

  • Respond to this video...

  • Not a critcism, only an observation. It seems like it is basically an all-white community, the segregation based on socio-economic status. The divide continues in our society right through retirement. Whites definately have more income in retirement, because they make significantly more in the workplace than non-whites.

  • @heavyfog As a home-owner (white), I saw the same thing. I then started looking for non-whites. One I've met is a retired Army Colonel who had taught at West Point and served on Colin Powell's staff. You are correct about income as one of the main factors for moving there. But, more importantly, is the political leaning (conservative, if you haven't guessed). Come visit sometime...it's a great place to own a retirement home.

  • Don't think it's all that great. We live in a golf cart community also and the drivers are dangerous, ingore the laws and treat them like toys. We are forced to watch out for THEM, they just get in and go.. One of them broad sided me. She went thru a red light..They think they have the right of way and drive automobile drivers nuts! We're thinking of getting OUT of here. I am sure they will say "good riddance" to usl

  • because of this they are bound to change golf kart laws

  • yes and you couldn't PAY me to live there either!

  • Good 4 you wish I lived there ,At. Least in the winter . God bless Jack , from Canada

  • Lol NICE!

  • Love it, don't live there but sure wish I could..what a nice life for seniors.

  • Of course you have to also have INSURANCE to drive one of these... you should see these nuts with their grandkids in them (sometimes driving them--YIKES)... right next to regular traffic. I heard only 9 people have been killed in them, but The Villages tries to keep the actual number "hush hush"... musn't let anything negative out, you know. HA

  • My dad lives here and you can actually get a DUI on one of these. sorry @NETWissjbirk

  • I think this is wonderful for the older people. I would love to live in a Village, but if I could find money for a Village, would they accept a bicycle? Seriously, I hope all of you have a good time, you earned it. God Bless!

  • I am moving there... Then I can drink and drive.

  • These are mostly just small engine cars. If all of them were electric I'd be more impressed.

  • I don't get it. Over a million hits for this? I only get like 40 and my video's are more of eye candy by far. What the heck?

  • @wmsaun2333 Never underestimate the power of the Elderly & Baby Boomers!!!!

  • We may be Northern Democrats but we are being brainwashed by the republican developer. The golf carts are a great convenience and not much mileage goes on the car anymore.

  • Ok, I want to live there when I'm too old to drive... as long as I can get a convertible one!

  • Absolutely LOVE this! These people ROCK and I'm jealous stuck up in Wis. all winter! We ARE in our 60's and we ARE out of our rockers (mostly), but this looks like more fun than than a barrel of monkeys...GOOD FOR ALL OF YOU! ;+)

  • all right look what we get to do when we are 65

  • This is where I want to be retired!

  • I want to hear about the fender benders and five-car pileups!

  • Well I know where I want to move!

  • if you dont understand being in the wind, in a golf cart, or a Harley, you have no

clue to what this is all about.......

  • I can dig it.

  • I think this is real cool. sounds like some here are just wishing it was them. i cant afford it but its still cool as hell. if i wish rich i'd be there with a custom build Studebaker or Packard! rollin, Rollin, oooh yes.

  • are these electric? just think if city folks had these...the gas savings for the USA..they should be mandatory for city residents...then when you go on a long trip you take the big car.

  • I LOVE this. If it keeps our seniors mobile and happy then I am for it 100%. My grandfather will not leave his recliner any more. I would do anything to see him up and about like these folks.

  • ...and all you idiots up north, stay there! We already have too damn many stupid people here already.

    WE ROCK

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER ! !

    Def Jam Pork-Boy

  • @rjcataniajr

We know, we're just trying to dilute the stupidity of the southern drivers.

  • @rjcataniajr Sure Northerners are stupid. Do you have dementia. Since I moved to Florida 10 years ago I can't believe the stupidity of Floridians. I love the weather and the ocean but the people that have always lived here are freaking brain dead and the worst drivers I have ever seen!

  • Go Granny Go!! I love it!

  • OLD MEN AND THEIR MONEY when are they going to be made electric only

  • @snoglobe68 They ARE electric only!! Where did you get that they're not NEVs?

  • @pcfrost232 Actually they started at Electric only, unfortunately with the size of the villages, and public demand

the stinky 2 stroke engines are abound... They say electric doesn't last long enough, I can drive from Spanish Springs to Colony woods and back without running out... that's more than enough range for most.

  • We lived in the Sun Cities in Surprise , Arizona . That's west of Phoenix. Sun City was the first city strictly for anyone over the age of 55. We saw them go all over over the cart paths etc.. There were a few places attached to the cities grocery store etc. However , Never on the regular roads. One day a friend called me said they picked up a little old man (her husband) in a cart on one of the streets. He didn't know how to get home so he just made LEFT TURNS all the time! (:>)

  • I'm almost a senior. It would be great for me, but is it regulated by the department of transportation ?

  • @HHOhybridBuilder

In Arizona the carts are street legal on roads 35mph or less BUT they have to be licensed for street use. I didn't see any license plates on these Florida golf carts. Plus you have to have a driver's license to use a golf cart on Arizona roads.

  • love it!!!

  • OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! <3

  • That's cool !! Interesting idea for a town.

It would be awesome to drive one with some balls eh? ;~)

  • I think every city should put in golf cart lanes! What a fun way to save gas for those short trips to the grocery store & other little errands!!

  • How fun! Glad these people are enjoying their lives rather than just sitting and moaning about getting older. Hopefully, we'll all get older and have just as much fun as these people. And for the people complaining about what they're spending on their golf carts - shut up. They worked for it, they earned it, they deserve to spend THEIR money the way they want. They don't owe you or me or anyone else any of their money. Too many Americans want to be coddled and have someone else provide for 'em.

  • It is their money, they have worked hard for it and earned it! They deserve to spend it however they want! The other thing none of us know is how much they may donate to charities, or to their churches, or to their kids! Everyone in America is just as free as these people are to go out, work hard, and earn their place at The Villages, or any other place they want to live when they retire!

  • Fabulous, work all your life...good for them. I am going to be there soon! This is still America and the American dream is still alive!

  • I love this!!! They are staying active and doing something good for the environment by taking their larger cars off the road.

  • I want to live there. Period.

  • Just north from where I live. They do not even have to leave the Villages. Everything is here that is needed.

  • @marmcmick And just a few miles in another direction there's a family who's bread winner has no job.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 Just "a" family? I bet there is more than that. Maybe many retired who live in the Villages do volunteer and help those less fortunate. I hope you are helping those less fortunate than yourself.

  • @marmcmick I can't really say things about THE VILLAGES but further on down the road you have SUN CITY and KINGS POINT off I-75 in south Hillsborough County. Mostly north easterners NY MASS CONN NJ types that have a REAL ATITUDE. 90% of them need a good SMACK UPSIDE THE HEAD. ARROGANT!!!!

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 You do make a good point though. I agree with that. Those folks especially like the snowbirds who are constantly telling us how great their north eastern states are. I see you like the Crossroads Guitar Festival? It was on PBS last night. I was pleasantly surprised.

  • @marmcmick WHAT ?? AND I MISSED THAT, ah SHI* !!! THANKS. How'd you know I watched those videos? Comments I guess, Right ??

  • @marmcmick I saw ZZ Topp listed on your youtube page in Spanish. LOL Here is some of who you missed: Jeff Beck, Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton,Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, ZZ Topp, Ron Wood, Derrick Trucks, and Susan Tedesci. This is from the Chicago, 2010 one.

  • @marmcmick WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?

  • Whoa! Hummer!!! -3

  • I don't ever plan to retire, and after seeing this, I have found one more reason to keep very busy and productive.

  • I don't ever plan to retire, and after seeing this, I have found one more reason to keep very busy and productive.

  • yes and the villages have one of the highest rates of sexual transmitted diseases in the nation---not that thats a bad thing

  • @jrelkhunt How do I get there. I just had a penile implant and looking for some action. Any WIDOWS with MONEY there?

  • @jrelkhunt I was only being funny ! My wife read that comment and she's jealous.

  • all the right wingers used to their tax cuts to buy golf carts.

  • @mustang1244 I work that area in the winter months and they're mostly arrogant Liberals from NY CONN NJ & MASS. UNION GUYS

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959; I think NOT. When Palin was there in 2008, sixty thousand people came to see her!

  • @johneditzel Come On !! You guys are mostly DEMOCRATIC LIBERALS FROM UP NORTH. Mostly union people. quit kiddin me. 60/1000 no way!!

  • When you've worked hard, you have a nice retirement: there's no reason to "play poor". Those with money enjoy it, but are also philanthropic more often than not. Though we're very comfortably retired, I've just started my own business with Ambit Energy, capitalizing on the deregulation of electricity across the nation. So much ability to make even more money, especially in N. Y., PA..,MD., IL., and TX.! I've found a great way to help yet more people have financial freedom.

    Molly Tenney

  • @mgt1109 GOOD FOR YOU! IF ONLY OTHERS DID THAT!

  • AWESOME.... I think making classic cars out of golf carts is genius.... but do these people also have cars?

  • Sweet rides, and they are all electric too!!

  • I can't believe all those old people can tolerate the 88 percent humidity in the 90+ degree weather of Florida!

  • I lived near the Villages on Lake Griffin...was funny to see all the golf carts at Home Depot, the grocery store...you name it. They even have overpasses just for the golf carts to cross the street. Nice community.

  • Good for these great Americans. I'll bet none of those cart owners spent their life on the public dole, something that can't be said for Obama's Cook Co. supporters. And with the government jumping through hoops trying to entice and/or coerce us into buying the overpriced Goverment Motors Chevy Volt, these folks are already doing it without a federal subsidy. Come on, Greenies, give it up for the old, Republicans in Florida!

  • To Outlawnomad1 - #1, They can afford to do whatever they want because they WORKED ALL THEIR LIVES, & SAVED, not expecting government entitlements or hand outs to support them. #2, Get some gumption and an education and you too can earn more than an entry level wage - don't blame others for your lack of ambition or shortcomings.

  • IDIOTS ! #1 Florida = proof the dead have risen and are walking (or riding golf carts on street) the earth. #2 Florida = land of old replublican'ts who LOVE cheap illegals (Mex,Cuban, and Ricans) keeping the younger white Americans wage down to $ 7.25 - $ 10.00 an hour. SICK

  • @Outlawnomad1 : One day when you grow up you might be ambitious enough to earn an honest living and prepare for your own retirement, one where you do not become one of the moochers, looters, thugs and parasites who believe you're entitled to live off the labor of others. Maggot.

  • Government is not a charity, and spending other people's money is not philanthropy!

    Government-provided healthcare is socialism.

Government takeovers of corporations (manufacturing and financial institutions, etc) is fascism.

Government redistribution of wealth is pure Marxist communism.

ALL these actions are Unconstitutional, and our current President, Senate, and previous House of Representatives have done all three and deserve the full wrath of the People.

  • I live in a community by the Villages. First thing hubby and I did was buy a golf cart. We go everywhere in it. Just plug it in at night. In the morning your good to go. We are in our 50's. We only paid 2900 for ours. Good enough for us! Love living the good life!

  • I work on a Golf Course,in Fla.(The Country Club of Lake City)

And I think those are some great cart's.

I think if I was mowing Green's and one came by...

While so much for that straight line.:)

What do they do if..cart go's in the pond?

  • 50,000 more reasons why I would never live at any of "The Villages". (Between The Villages and Disney's Celebration, the world of Patrick McGoohan's, The Prisoner, has finally come to life.)

  • I worked in The Villages for several years. I have no idea how that place can hold so many humongous egos.

  • @CJ42Gal YOU GOT THAT RIGHT LIBERALS MOSTLY UNION GUYS from NY CONN NJ MASS.

  • I'd make mine look like a Monster Truck with big tires!

  • Oh, the Streetrod carts are made in America by a small firm in Iowa.

  • We've lived here for 8 years and have a Streetrod cart. It is a wonderful place to live. Yes, we've all paid our dues, but we're aware of the needs of others. Volunteering in our number One pasttime.

  • @gaines32162 GOOD FOR YOU! WE DID TOO BUT IN SUN CITY AND SUN CITY GRAND ARIZONA. KEEP IT UP

  • I'm 67, in good health, is there a single retiree that needs me? Seems like the good life!!!!

  • Seems to me, with gas prices rising, and city folk still needing to drive, that an enclosed version will soon be on the market...with heaters/air conditioners, and snow tires :)

Think of New York cab drivers in golf carts....

  • Do any of those 'souped up' golf carts come with Depends dispensers? From the looks of it, some of those old crones could use a few.

  • @porkulate EXTREMELY STUPID REMARKS FROM SOMEONE WHO KNOWS NOTHING

  • a city full of electric cars? thats ridiculous!

parking must be so easy lol

  • Yet another reason why I LOVE this country!

  • And this is why...we will end as a society!

  • love it!!!

  • thats where my father lives. he loves it..lol.

  • Peachtree City in GA is the same.... crazy amount of golf cart trails!

  • Peachtree City in GA is the same.

  • Wish I could afford to live there. :(

  • I'm moving here. Nuff said!

  • @mousstard check out the Sun Cities in Arizona. Weather is great and NOT as bad as reported!

  • Comment removed

  • Awsome!

  • @tammys57 its outside of lady lake. In sumter and lake county. My grandparents live there.

  • SO COOL!!! Love this!!

  • looks like fun times in the "elephants graveyard"....i prefer the open road on a cool Badboy Harley or Higboy Streetrod...to each his on...seeya when yer older....:)

  • Would like to know where this is??? Looked on line...but there are to many Villages!!!

  • @Tammys57 Look up or google : "The Villages" It is the most wonderful, fun place in the world to retire!

  • One of the most awesome things I have ever seen. I visited a friend in The Villages awhile ago and the golf carts took my eye right away.

Wish I was younger, it would be a fun thing to join if I were fortunate enough to live there,

  • Are there any available men in their 60's over 6 ft. tall? l can't play golf with my bum knees/legs but l can drive a mean Cushman Cart. Y GulfportGal (florida)

  • To everyone griping about the expense - these carts are typically replacing one car in the household, and easily account for 50% **or more** of your daily travel. And all TV editing appearances aside, 'conventional' golf carts outnumber the custom jobs at least 10 or 20 to 1 or more, and electric carts outnumber gas carts by a similar margin I'd guess. But beyond that, it's their money to spend how they want. My In-laws LOVE The Villages even with their conventional electric cart.

  • Kinda reminds me of why I ride a motorcycle. It's open, and bikers are some of the friendliest folk around. It's so much easier to be friendly when you pull up to a traffic light, and the next person is out in the open, and not hidden inside a metal cage. I applaud these folks for finding a way to bring their town to life AND reduce pollution. I only have one question .. how do I go to Home Depot for 500 pounds of floor tile in one of those :-)

  • @johnlcallaway about 10 round trips should do it !!

  • @johnlcallaway about 10 round trips should do it !! Ummm ...how do you do it on the bike ???

  • @chillynites1 I'm sure the same way they do it ... either with my 'spare' truck, or home delivery :-). I do have something in common with them, I've hauled golf clubs to the golf course on my motorcycle!!! But they wouldn't let me take it out on the course :-(

  • @johnlcallaway same way you would with your motorcycle.. park it and get your truck. : )

  • @johnlcallaway ha ha ha Ever heard of delivery? True about bikers , all of them We have a Goldwing and we're 71 and74. AND---- The Sun Cities in Arizona are VERY friendly!!

  • Safer, quieter, better mileage, cheaper than a car. What's not to like with this? And I'm sure most are no where near $20000.

  • Love the look of those Ultimate Golf Cart Seats that were shown on some of the carts!

  • I'll try to remember how cool this is as I watch my tach approach red line in my Corvette.

  • Let me give the standard "overly-PC" reaction to this: "This idea is HIGHLY offensive to the elderly!" (I don't have to back that up, because my righteous indignation is just seething from my pores. Sorry, just got off a stupid debate with people who see racism, ageism and sexism whether it's there or not. Needed to vent, thanks.) But yes.... they could do more walking, it's healthy.

  • Fat bodies! walk!

  • @Intirami

"Village people" don't only ride golf carts! They also play pickleball, tennis, golf, swim, dance, bicycle, go to fitness centers, do yoga, pilates, zumba and join a host of clubs including but not limited to: photography, painting, chess, ceramics, bingo, bunco, billards, needlework, scrapbooking, memoir writing, literature, music, and Bible studies. Summer camp for grandkids too! Is it any wonder why they have so many white haired people living there? Active Lifestyle = Long Life!

  • The big white Boxer riding in the cart close to the start of this viedo is my dog, Gulliver! He was with our neighbor who was dog sitting for the day. My dog is a TV star. Dogs in The Villages are probably the most pampered pets anywhere. They lead a very good life here. Of course, so do their people. We love our golf cart and go just about every where in it. And, of course, Gulliver goes with us! What a fun place to live!! I wouldn't live anywhere els
