Malay and Tagalog have similarities... maybe they originate from the same source. Who knows? That's why I hate it when we Malaysians and Filipinos fight. We're the same coz we're humans and are from the same roots. :D

yeah, i'm with you on this one all the way. malay and tagalog have the same root as far as language is concerned. but tagalog had rich spanish influence after the colonisation by the spanish abt 300-400 years ago. before that malay influence in the tagalog language was more dominant. that's why some malay and tagalog words have same pronunciations and meanings. malaysians and philippinis shd propogate love and peace and not hatred and animosity!!!
