a question, I own an hp mini but I can't stream in TVs, so i became interested in this pc due to its havingh hdmi, but how does it work?? is it that i just plug the thing and I can mirror what i see in my computer screen and on the television set??? thanks
That HD Internet sticker is actually from AMD. Its just to say that this laptop can run all internet HD content smoothly, like 1080p YouTube videos etc.
Do I need antivirus for this, all I want to do is go on YouTube, IGN, ZeldaDungeon, Facebook, and maybe a stream here and there. Is there antivirus already installed that will do, please respond, its only 179.99 at futureshop right now (not for much longer) and I'm considering getting it if I don't need to get a special antivirus.
@TheJustAsk well I don't have it and i'm on a budget. Can i get a reliable one on the internet for free? I've heard you can, but if I can't then I may pass on this since it doesn't have a disc drive. It's 179, possibly 199 now, it was on sale 20 bucks before, haven't checked in a while. You'd think since i'm canadian that it would be pricier, but nope.
@Duorsa i recommend installing Microsoft Security Essentials on every computer. it is completely free and runs full-time, although you do need to update it and run a full scan every week or so. If you want to be really safe, install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware too. It isn't full-time protection, but you can run it whenever you scan with Security Essentials. That's what i do, and i have never gotten a virus, ever.
@ryandonian believe it or not but i'm on the Acer Aspire One D257 right now! I got it a couple of days ago. It came pre-installed with McAfee antivirus, and when it expires, my phone company has a deal that if your with them and you give them your computer number and go through a few steps, you'll get free antivirus. So I think i'm good for a while. But thanks anyway, now i'll know what to do if my family leaves our current phone company and internet plan.
@Duorsa I also recommend that you install Microsoft Security Essentials and Anti-malwarebytes. McAfee does fine when it catches viruses but it is not so good on catching them. When I had it running it let multiple Trojans through without any warnings or anything. I have only ever seen one really nasty virus get through MSE and that was something that had to be killed before it started, then removed with Anti-Malwarebytes. Bottom line, these programs actually work.
is this good for games like crossfire or combat arms?
and what bit is it? 64? 32?
