  • if this is a 2 stroke motor, try using different reed valves. if it's a 4 stroke turn in the air/screw mixture and thin out the gas a bit. have you thought about using an ignition coil? use a 555timer circuit to control the pulses. good luck

  • did you conduct the other tests in the same exact conditions? no load on the mower? putting a load by cutting grass uses more gas. taking the air cleaner off will help save gas (but allows microscopic dirt into the engine). and humidity is another factor. i'm not trying to be negative on this. i think that anyone who wants to beat the oil companies at their own game is doing a great job. read next

  • Thank you for comment!

Do if I want to run my lawnmower 4-stroke on only hydrogen+oxygen what I need to do? What changes is needet to do?

  • Hello Careica, I am now starting to watch your grass clipper videos, because I have now finaly found a scrap engine in the trash. It is simalar to yours, and it is 4HP. I really enjoy watching these videos, and your results are very encouraging.

I have one question, and it has to do with the carburator. And that is when you put the hydrogen tube into the carburator, how does the engine automaticly use less gasoline? I do belive it works. I am guessing that you just lower the throttle,

    Thanks.

  • Hello!

About carburator, I don't know. I hear that hydrogen need to be just pulled in carb. just like I did in my video.

Thorttle was set to max running speed in bouth of tests, whitout and whit hydrogen.

I have maked this test many many times, and results are same. Hydrogen make gasoline saving. Now I'm making new cell. I hope to get 5 liters per minuite gas and run my lawnmower/grassclipper only on hydrogen. But I need to find new clipper. This one is 2-stroke I need 4-stroke.

  • Oh, I had no idea your yellow clipper was a 2 stroke. So that means the gas you used had oil in it? Yea, 4 stroke engine would work well.

And I guess if the carburator works with the gas amount and I don't understand why, I guess that is ok.

Thank you, and I really look forward to seeing your new cell!

    Bye

  • Yep. My "science" friends count, that I need 12V and 80A draw to get 5 Liters/min. That is huge amount of electricity. But I will test my new cell, when it is ready.

Looking foward to see your new videos too!

P.S I saw yesterday Mythbusters Young Scientist Special. They did use cow shit to make methane. And they did feed that methane gas in lawnmower/grassclipper and it did run!!!

I could send that video to you. Send your E-mail to me, by private message.

  • And remember this. a 2 stroke needs oil for a lubricant mixed with the gas. running without the correct lubricant will eventually sieze your engine (usually the rings or piston top will melt).

  • It appear that the hho production is not enough for running the clipper, it appears and sounds that you still had gasoline in the tank.

  • Ofcorse there was gasoline! Read title "I did save...GASOLINE"

I did save gasoline, this did not work only whit hydrogen.

  • good test-thanks for showing this-i am doing similar test on my diesel vehicle.10 liters with and 10 liters without gas.

will show it when i get the results in.

  • 10 liters is maybe too much. 5L could be good. But even 2 L will show results. But if 10L it will be more correctly results.

I go now too put hydrogen on my clipper, will upload new video today.

  • Great example Careica! So do understand correctly, did you go straight from battery to the spark cell? Does the trigger steal too much amperes?

  • I guess that trigger steal ampers. And the spark screws running time is much smaller. When I was whit trigger + 14,4V drill battery, it did make spark clearly only maybe 2 min! I did me go crazy! Then I tought to use trigger + 12V 7Ah battery, running time was 5-7min. And then only straight 12V battery, runningtime I have reached maximum was more than 12min.

I think trigger steal couple of hundredmilliamps. But they are important too! Because if spark screw miss that 100mA I cant get spark!
