muzzle sweeps, keeping the finger out of the guard until the weapon is down range, and not grabbing the front of the weapon especially when you know its loaded. also very few people shoot well with the cup and saucer grip you take just fyi.
just some of the things i have noticed in the last couple videos i have seen. i'm not trying to be a smart ass here but, i think you would seriously benefit from a short class at your local range safety is important after all its a firearm.
but if ya dont keep that finger off the trigger when ur not aiming at a target ur gonna eventually get a ugly scar or blow off one of those pretty toes!!
practice keepin that finger off the trigger. it would be so sad for you to accidentally hurt yourself!!
at least teach her right... be square to the target, form a triangle, you will get way better consistency and better recoil control. Also note; it helps if you rotate your non trigger hand in the downward motion while griping the firearm, causing your arms to become some what parallel and will cause them to take the recoil and not only your wrists. Hope Someone Reads This.
nice!!! good weapon WaltherP99 but not my favourite design,i like Glock and Heckler&Koch and Remington!! i shoot many times a Remington700(M40) sniper rifle and i love it.
@Mikeeitup91 You do realize that .40 S&W is a modified 10mm? It's commonly loaded to the same power levels that most 10mm loadings are. New shooters don't know how to properly control the recoil and 9mm can look like it has a lot of recoil. Go to the range sometime.
@FiveTwoSevenTHR well she's new it's obvious she's teacupping the P99 among other things. I shoot a lot thanks a bunch in fact I'm going tomorrow after a stop at Cabelas. I am purely shocked how ridiculous she makes the recoil look. Hence my statement. Also that "1mm" and load makes all the difference IMO. Watch videos of people shooting the .40 S&W and the 9mm right after each other as my argument support... Distinct difference there.
@Mikeeitup91 One of my friends shooting for the first time a few weeks ago and she shot my XD-40 and she had better recoil control than the lady in this video. Proper instruction goes a long way.
@moviemaker1004 Happens to a lot of people and I've seen it happen to more guys than ladies. I did it once a few months ago too. When you are aiming down the sights, you aren't looking at the slide and thus you don't realize that the slide is farther back. It's not just the inexperienced that do it nor is it gender specific.
definitely needs to square up with the target. not stand like she is holding a shotgun. also extend her arms, without locking them. stop lowering your head to the weapon, raise your weapon to your eyes. trust me you will start shooting a lot better
@ZombieSoldier01 dude I think shes just going for a more solid aiming rest like a lot of chicks do guys are alot more comfortable with a more relaxed shooting style were chicks are more of a presice ridged bunch just my two thoughts
@JHK936 idk about that. its called improper training. break the bad habits. my wife definitely doesn't stand like that anymore and she shoots a lot better now too.
@mavhunter20xx..dude I agree with you, she also needs to relax her arms while keeping them extended without locking her elbow. Its easier to do than to explain. If she puts her weight into it, it will handle the recoil and help with her gun control, and who the hell taught her that grip style?
looks like someone is left eye dominant. Probably should get her to shoot lefty instead. If she continues shooting w/ her non shooting hand supporting the bottom of the grip instead of closing the gap made by her shooting hand's palm and fingers (basically put as much skin on the pistol grip as she can) she'll always have trouble controlling the pistol durring recoil. Just my opinion.

wtf horrible way to hold the gun your left hand is doing nothing to control the recoil... might as well shoot it free handed

Normal, women need an indicator when to stop. And you know what this indicator looks like. I give you a hint. It's liquid. ;)
