  • i have this gun in 40s&w and love it.very reasonable.well made and its nice shooting gun.

  • You have hairy hands, man! Does it affect your shooting?

  • I like your videos, But I hate that you always talk about conceal carry and such, but then you throw in the glock 18 33 round magazines. Those are not practical magazines and most people are not going to carry them even as a hip gun.

  • going to use my 24/7 pro for my CHL here in Jan.

  • NO BARK!!!

  • got a airsoft one identical to this

  • maaaaaaaaaaan you love hearing your voice eh? just do a concise review, jesus.

  • @loganhudak Sorry if you are new here, but you're going to get detailed info here, but not necessarily concise. There are other reviewers online that may have what you are looking for. Good luck. -- Veri

  • @loganhudak Yeah I was just thinking the same thing.

  • I have a Pro and I love it. I don't carry on safety. I carry chambered and decocked. I just have to pull the trigger. This way I don't worry about levers. In the mode, the first shot is double action and the follow up is single. Not a big deal at all because if I am in a life or death confrontation, the first shot may very well be the only one I need. If not, the shots that follow will likely be aimed and single action.

  • what do you think of the PT 145 mill pro?

  • The safety lever on the 24/7 is just that and you have to use it as such. Firm grip as you would while shooting, with your thumb straight and using the inside of your thumb with the the forward end of the lever being well below the bottom of your thumb nail you can you can switch between safe and fire with very little effort or movement while retaining all of your shooting grip. I have 50 % feeling and movement in my thumb at best and the taurus's lever is the best I have used.

  • This a glock review or a damn 24/7?

  • I carry a 24/7 pro in 45 acp everyday. I am a large guy but I dont find it to be too heavy at all to be carried everyday, however I will say that it is too heavy to be carried loosely and by that i mean in a fanny pack or stuck in the pocket. I do need to holster it. Also I wanted to add that 13 rounds of 45 acp add a TON of weight to the gun.I weighed a loaded mag at just under 12 oz.

  • holy shi.t i have never knew , that the softair modell is so realystic in the comparition with that real gun D:

  • taurus for the win has a rail for flashlight nough said

  • I probably saved about $175-$200 that I really didn't need to spend, because I saw your reviews and was able to make an informed decision. Plus I saved another $35 with the free NRA membership from Taurus, which most gun ranges require you to have anyway. Sorry for the long post, just had to say thanks. Oh, and by the way, the new line of Taurus 24/7's (the 24/7 Pro G2) also have the updated controls.

  • Interestly enough, it seems someone at Taurus has been watching your vidoes, because their new 800 series has a real easy trigger, and those mistake-prone controls have been changed to look a lot more like Glock's. I found the PT840 online for the unbelievable price of $341, and I love it. All I need is a reliable firearm for home defense that I'll shoot at the range every few months, and the Taurus fits the bill just fine.

  • On my budget, it's difficult to come up with $500+ for a Glock, and it's not easy to find a more affordable gun in 40 cal that still has a good reputation. After seeing your reviews on the 24/7 and the PT1911, the two main concerns I had were the issues you pointed out with the trigger and most of the all the controls.

  • Hi Nutn, I'm new to firearms, and appreciate your reviews a lot. As a newbie with no established frame of reference, it was ideal for me to see a the gun under review being systematically compared to a recognized quality gun like Glock (can't imagine why anyone would have an issue with it). In fact, when I was first looking into semi-auto pistols, most of the guys I talked to said get a Glock or a Sig.

  • can you do a review of the smith and wesson SD model

  • wow man, my airsoft is the exact replica. you can't tell them apart

  • @MegaModKing Does it shoot 9mm ammunition, too? -_-

  • if you did put a bigger mag in the glock than it wouldnt be as portable as it is now

  • New brazilian police standard weapon

  • is $354.00 before taxes a good price?

  • @pipersmitty87 it's alright

  • Nutn, Just got the ds, love it. Cheap and reliable! got 1000 rnds thru it and not 1 miss fire. It is my edc for right now not bad iwb. Love your vids, have learned alot. From 1 vet to another thanks

  • How big is the 24/7 clip size?

  • I like the vids you post, but I have an issue with this one. If you compare the 19 and the 24/7 and give concealment to the the 19, you can not give firepower to the 19 because of a 30 round mag option. Can you conceal a 19 with a 30 round mag?

  • I loved this gun, but the rear end(dove shape) left a mark in my gut, not to say i woulnt trust this gun, yes i trust my life with a 24/7, fine piecw, just if carry in the front, watch your waist line!

  • Love this video & very fair review... I do agree w/ everything that nutnfancy has said here, however, I have found that with my hand size (large), that the safety is in a very good position when held in a firing position. When I bring my thumb up it's right there w/out moving my hand position. *Note: I do have a taurus PT 24/7 Pro C DS .45 pistol. The bad thing about this pistol is that there are not many options for customization like my Glock 17, which I really hate b/c I really like my taurus

  • @buddiiee Wikipedia says YouTube has been around since 2005. Why? I missed the reference. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • @nutnfancy I think he was talking about the G19 target nutn showed @ 12:10

  • @nbrikha Oo! Nutn has targets save from waaay back. lol Thanks for clearing that up.

  • @douglas8500 Calm down, douglas. Its just an opinion. -- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • I would love to see an updated review of the PT 24/7 Pro, I own that model and it is much better than the standard model. Do a review of the pro version! (When you have the time) Keep up the great and honest videos.

  • people lay off taurus is nuts he just reviewing the gun from his point of view and in the process he is comparinmg it to another very popular gun the glock which is a good compareison dam people are sad.

  • You know, your right about the magazine thing, don't get me wrong, but would you really want a 32 round mag stickin' out of your waist? that would completely ruin the part of CONCEALED CARRY. That is pretty much the point of the glock 19 right? Im just wondering(im only 12 so correct me if i make any mistakes about what im saying).

  • I have the 24/7 Pro D/S in .45acp and have found the gun reliable and a great home/car gun. The trigger is FUNKY and takes awhile to master. It's a hoot to shoot. It is extremely accurate, comfortable, and ergonomic. For bang of buck it is hard to beat. You can buy two of these for one glock. Something to think about. I bought this for a family member to replace a Glock because he wanted safety features. Glad, really glad I found this model. Will likely buy a MIlleneum for carry

  • 24/7 good gun truth be told

  • a gun that gets those all right is fn five seven although more pricey but will deff save your life with ease...

  • Good review

  • my other concern about this gun is, it's not friendly on people who are a lefty like me...to bad was planing to buy this gun thou, now im having second thought really

  • i have a 24/7 pro and i have no red dot on the slide for the safety nor is there any evidence there ever was one there...very strange...anyone know why this would be?

  • My dad has the Taurus PT 24/7 Pro, and I don't like it too much. The trigger sucks to me, and I can't operate the saftey or the slide release without adjusting my hand, then adjusting my hand to shoot again, and I have large hands.

  • How about a Detonics .45 for EDC?

  • when i put co2 and bbs in it will it be able to cock back? idk abt that i got it today and if any1 knows pls let me kno

  • @Vic7000Jr You're a douche.

  • " No Bark! " LOL!

  • So I came to this video to learn more about a gun I would like to buy, The Taurus 24/7 Pro, and instead I found a video of you slopping all over your Glock 17, ignoring the Taurus for the better part of two minutes, and only talking about WHY you're talking about the Glock, how great it is, etc. I'm going to have to go with Ronald on this one.

  • thats a smexy gun :D

  • no BARK!!! LOL

  • Well, & I understand why he uses the Glock as his standard, it's a proven & reliable design. But that doesn't mean there are really good alternatives to the glock to be fair. I personally don't like the Glock platform & prefer trying new designs & new models. The comparison analogy I could use is how people buy cars, they tend to stick with old reliable......like an old Toyota Corolla, very reliable....but I don't want to be driving this dated model all the time I'd like to try something new.

  • you know your stuff nutn but could you just review the guns without always having to compare everything to your beloved glocks?

Also your reviews could be much better if you would quit rambling about crap and just keep to the review...your the biggest nerd ive seen/herd..seriosly I cant stand listening to you but I cant stop listening lol

  • @ciconcrete lol i agree. he shouldnt always use a glock to compare the gun to because the review isnt supposed to be about weather or not theres a better gun out there, its supposed to be about how good that gun is on its own. 90% of his subscribers already own glocks, but they want other guns too. so comparing the glock to the gun hes reviewing doesnt really help them out alot.

but his newer videos have started to steer away from this direction which is good.

  • NO BARK!

  • Could you and Glock please get a room.

  • had both, sold taurus, liked ergo on taurus more but got used to glock. glock has more support and accessories 33 mags for glock. sold most of my guns for glocks. higher resale for glock as well.

  • Hey Nutnfancy, I think this is a good video review, although I would call it more of a comparison with the Glock 19. I have 2 Taurus pistols, the 24/7 PRO & the PT809, both pistols are great Glock alternatives. Yes, I own a Glock 19 myself, & for years it was my standard.......until I found the Taurus pistols. I would challenge you to review the PT809, 840 or 845, many improved features & even a manual safety, something the Glock is missing. As always, your reviews are much appreciated!!!

  • I think people are saying this is a glock ad b/c you opened up a glock catalog on a taurus PT 24/7 review. I dont care either way, but I just wanted to bring that up. On that note, it may be more appropriate to call this video a PT 24/7 vs G19 video rather than a review. Also, I don't think you can ever be "beyond" safety checking, the point is for new gun guys who may end up on this video to see good habits. This makes for a more safe gun community, to give anti-gun people less ammo against us.

  • hey nutn what do you think a the tuarus large frame .357?

  • 25 yds is far. At that point, Im just glad to hit paper. Im shootin a Dan Wesson 1911 45acp CCOB with a 4 1/4 inch barrel.

  • I'm thinking about getting this in a .40 is there any significant differances that i would need to know about?

  • the grip angle on this fits me great i love it

  • I hate the look of the Glock. The grips look like shit.

  • I had a 24/7 pro and it had a hard time digesting hollowpoints. I ended up trading it for a Glock 22 BUT I really preferred the 24/7 ergonomics.

  • i think at this point it would be unfair to taurus to test the standard 24/7. taurus has made so many improvements to the design with the pro and the oss. that doa trigger is gone now replaced by a da/sa trigger. the accuracy is still there with the reliability, but its almost a totally different gun now. i would still love to see an oss or even the standard pro run in trench, i will vote for that one.

  • I looked at the .40 24/7 at a gun show last year. I HATED the control locations and wound up just doing some horse trading for a Glock 23 and love it.

  • Nutn- I'd really like to see you run this Taurus through the new "Trench Warfare" course and test the full reliability and performance. Thanks for the vid's, I appreciate what you do.

  • cool looking gun

  • what are the best bullets (make) and grain type for this type of gun. I heard 115gr some say 124 grain ... some say Winchester bullets, some say UMC, some say metal, some say brass ... I AM LOST!

  • if you could make a gun would you?

  • hey nutn i have question for you,if shit hits the fan and you could only take a handgun with you what would be your choice(besides a glock)?

  • has nutn ever shot the pt 24/7 oss tactical in .45acp? I have one for my carry pistol and love its light weigh(for a large cap .45) and great reliability and accuracy.

  • I have to say my 24 7 PRO Titanium is only 19oz, and a FANTASTIC gun - Enough with the Glock, just review the Taurus or whichever gun in the future... don't compare them all the time, we don't care if we did we would look up 'glock 19 review'.

  • @HiddenBlessings1 No kidding right? I have watched and do enjoy many of the nutnfancy reviews, but Holy sh!t get over the glock. Do your reviews and quit strokin the glock so much. If I wanted to know about the glock I would have looked it up.

  • @HiddenBlessings1 no no no no. keep doing what ur doing nutnfancy

  • @HiddenBlessings1 Glock sets the standard for modern pistols. It only makes sense.

  • @HiddenBlessings1 Did you ignore his comment at the beginning?

  • I like it! My carry gun (G19) compared to the gun I'm interested in (24/7) I'm just looking for the Taurus 24/7 in .40 S&W

  • ANY UPDATES FOR THE 24/7 G2 for 2010???

  • While i appreciate the review ( and it did convince me to buy this weapon), after i personally handled the my '09 .40cal 24/7 pro i have to disagree with his complaints about the safety. When demonstrating he used the tip of his thumb to engage and disengage the safety, but the very first time i handled it I found it easy and natural to use the center of my thumb. Anyway, just my thoughts. keep on posting.

  • Do you have the video of TAURUS 1911 vs the RUGER SR9

  • NO BARK WHILE I'M DOING A VIDEO!!! Hehehe, nice video brother!!

  • i have a 45acp taurus and its a good gun but yea it is kind of bulky and it sits high in your hand but i still like it but i like glocks better

  • Makes me sad to watch the firepower portions... all this talk of 15, 17, 19, even 33 rounds for your pistols, while I'm stuck with 10 no matter what pistol I may want to buy.

  • The first thing people need to pay attention to is POU. It forms the entire basis of the review. A different POU confers different +/- marks for various features. For a full size pistol in a duty pistol or sidearm POU, the Glock 17 and 19 make an excellent point of referernce.

  • i have my taurus PT 24/7 cal 40 i purchase last 2008.I seldom used it but at very sad to say and very disapointed the LOWER RECIEVER CRACK IN JUST 2TH ROUNDS.Very bad performance

  • Most taurus guns that i have shot, have been equally as accurate as glocks, springfields, ect. But ur right about the bungled safety, pin and slide release, they shoulda took that into consideration but if someone is not jumping back and forth inbetween guns it shouldnt be an issue.

  • Hi....

Thnx for such a great review i got a Taurus PT 24/7 Pro its very easy to handle and the slide is way to soft and as the triger but one thing which bothers me is that the mag capacity is of 17 rounds and i bearly manage to put in only 14 rounds can u help me how can i put 17 rounds in it..............

  • I carry a Taurus 24/7 pro 9mm every day, the weight issue he talks about is true. However for the price I can't complain, the main issue I have with my Taurus is the heinie straight 8 sights, not a big fan of them but they work. The glock 19 is a good gun to compare with as it is really a good standard in my opinion. I love all types of firearms and to be brand myopic is to be truly close minded.

  • say "truth be told" again.... i dare you. lol

  • Yep I have a PRO>>>>in .45 cal

  • a taurus não aguenta stande, a melhor arma para isso é uma boa imbel.

  • great review

  • veri, what is your favorite 9mm gun? i am thinking about buying my first gun. i don't want to spend more than 400 bucks for a new one.

  • glock glock glock glock glock...... GODDDDDD man enough!!!!! i have glocks too, they arent the second coming of christ!!!!! get over it man

  • VERI, YOU SOUND CUTE. ARE YOU SINGLE?

  • @mycrx89 Lord no, I've been married forever, but thanks! -- Veri

  • the safety is in a ggod place, your just pro-glock

    I totaly agree with Warpath2198

  • by 3:30 I was falling asleep

  • should i get this or the Smith&Wesson M&P

  • "Had to let her know I was serious" Ha! Great and informative video. Many thanks.

  • Offense is always easier than defense in my book I take defense more seriosly than nutnfancy I guess. I like the single action on the taurus more but reliabillity is for the individual to determine but the 24/7pro defenitely feel closer to a berreta m9 or a gi 1911 for trigger pull. I don't know about the older 24/7 though but the pro is awesome. Still 498$ for a black taurus and 519$ for stainless.

  • aw don't yell @ alli lol "NO BARK!"

  • You are droning,,,Geez man , 17 minutes...Are you sure you are not a meth user?

  • can u make a video where u separates it?

  • Man I love your reviews. I watched quite a few of them and I really enjoy how you look at multiple aspects of a gun.

  • hi nutnfancy. can you please make a review on a taurus 800 series gun? in a 9mm or 45acp caliber. Im a fun of your videos. Glock and Sig Sauer are my favorite guns also. I hope you will make a review on that pistol soon. thanks..

  • I am looking to buy a 24/7 PRO .45 12 +1. Now, I agree with you that the Glock 19 is a great gun, however, I was going to get a 1911 which is much much heavier than either of these guns. I'll be using the 24/7 for concealed carry but I use inside the waistband carry and I am 6'1" 235 so it's pretty easy for me to conceal pretty much anything. I am only going for the 24/7 vs the 1911 because of the length and weight of the gun as well as 4 more rounds.

  • The Taurus with the 4" barrel is a standard size vs a Glock 19 which is a compact size, so docking the taurus for weight is comparing apples to oranges...

  • For the one who is making fun of his stance, he is demonstrating acurracy in a standing positions. The breathing technique is to help hold consistency on target. He is evaluation the weapon not demonstrating shooting stances. Snipers do half breath holds while shooting for accuracy you bone head. It is a review so you need to go elsewhere. Nutnfancy is making good comparisons to a standard, Glock. I think he is fair and I don't own a Glock.

  • love your vids bro and have you done anything for the smith and wesson sigma 40? I do own a glock 27 and it seems even though my glock is smaller, it's heavier than my fullsize sigma? maybe it's just me, but I love carrying both though

  • mine is starting to release clips during use and sometimes dropping them onto the ground "a certain death trap"

  • @jsilvatx

Damn really!? I hope that's just an isolated incident and not something that happens alot with this firearm

  • OR..it could be that glock is his gun of reference. See the video. -- Veri

  • I did watch the video, in it's entirety. This isn't just a review of the taurus, it is a compare and contrast of the taurus vs glock. In the sub 800 dollar space there isn't much that will beat the glock. I am just saying he should review the gun, not tell us how it doesn't stand up to the glock. We know that already.

  • Let me also say that I love his videos, I bought the Ruger SR9 based on his review. I was merely pointing out that he always compare/contrasts the guns against the glock and it is getting old. I know the glock is a great gun, everyone knows that. If they don't they are brand myopic as he puts it. I don't care if this gun doesn't perform as good as a glock, I want to know what it's features are, stengths, weaknesses. All these guns suck compared to a Les Baer custom, so what?

  • @nutnfancy no hes definitely glock myopic.....EVERY single video hes made he praises glock for every single lil thing. im sorry if you feel different, but theres just no way around it

  • @nutnfancy

it may be his gun of reference but i think he is biased towards the Glock

  • @nutnfancy i have to agree with imsplitbit and mattos4g. just tell us about the taurus im sick of hearing about the glock. you turned a review into a comparison vid.

but i bought a ruger sr-9 because of your good reviews and love it. gonna post some vids up when i can afford 9mm ammo :/ dont wanna waste my little manstoppers on a paper target. also, around my area pistol ammo is almost non existent :/

  • @nutnfancy do a video of bersa thunder 9 ultra compact carry pro...

  • @imsplitbit quit bitchin'. if you dont like it. go somewhere else..just face it..this is glock country. and glock IS the standard.

  • @ibanezkid07 I am not bitching, you misunderstand me. I have 2 glocks myself and they are nothing if not the most reliable guns I own. I still prefer to fight with a 1911 but that is just because I am into torturing myself apparently. I am simply saying that I don't care how a gun compares to a glock when I watch a review, I just care how the gun:

    - Shoots

    - Disassembles

    - Cleans up

    Thats it.

  • Wow, this turned into a Glock 19 review!

  • yea he seams biased towards the glock... the taurus 24/7 oss has a safety decock feature so it becomes double action or single action if hed done a undiased review on the oss hed have a new standard lol reserch b4 buying read guns and ammo 2007 article on this gun 10000 no prob

  • And we generally ignore armchair commandos here. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy do you have a review on the taurus PT 111 pro?

  • @nutnfancy Hes like 10 and is trolling all the taurus vids he thinks that safetys are stupid to and your a bad parent if your kid even touches a gun haha and hes not even old enough to have a kid.

  • @nutnfancy hey can you do an update on the new model. 24/7 pro

  • @nutnfancy

i have wathced and enjoyed a lot of your reviews. but i have to say this is supposed to be about the taurus, and you waste way to much time talking about the glock. ok the glock is way cool...but please talk about your review subject first and then compair the other weapon instead of going on about the glock..is this a glock review ???

  • @Warpath2198 Epic fail warpath....the most famous gun reviewer just burned you

  • @Warpath2198 Does it really matter what stance you use when it gets results? You use the stance which works best for YOU.

And breath control is key to marksmanship ability. It is something that is heavily focused on, even in "modern shooting techniques".

  • @Warpath2198 Watch more bitch less.

  • @Warpath2198 go suck a cock dumbass, your probably some fag who plays airsoft so you thnk you are a navy seal and are better than everyone. and if you have no patients why are you commenting on the review nobody made you watch the review you dont like it fuck off.

  • i dont understand when people say hes not reviewing the gun. The what the hell is he doing? Hes just using the glock as a comparison to the taurus, but overall he is reviewing the gun and giving his opinion.

  • The glocks do have a accessory rail also. i have a 24/7 9mm that i have had to send to taurus 3 times. my taurus pt1911ar I have had good luck with. my 24/7 i'm trading in on a glock 19.

  • How much different is the 24/7 OSS?

  • "NO BARK" good guard dog, and a great gun review.

  • Can your Glock carry a light? To bad is dark 12 hours a day and you wont be able to carry the Glock. I would take the taurus.

  • If you'd pay a little attention you would have heard him say that it was an older model glock. The new ones do have accessory rails. If you like the Taurus better that's completely fine, no need to get snotty about it.

  • hello...night sights. and nothing says "I'm right here!" when you turn your light on.

  • Oh, and by the way.. Long, stupid magazines, are not a FirePower adder.

  • I could've sworn this was a Review of a 24/7... All this video is "Glock is better. Glock is better."

Don't compare the 2... Review the damn pistol, Nutnfancy! lol I love you videos; I've watched every one. But stick to the subject matter.

  • He said the Taurus, which is the heavier gun, is best for home defense.

  • For home defense, isn't it nicer to have a heavy gun? because its easier to control

  • dude who wants a pistol for home defense. Nothin says get the fuck outta my house like the click clack of a 12 gauge shotgun getting racked

  • is this a taurus review or a glock glorification?

  • youtube would be a lot better without all you whiner babies. He told you exactly why he's comparing to the glock, and it's useful for me when he compares to a gun everyone is familiar with.

  • @mattos4g like every other nutnfancy video.....GLOCK CIRCLE JERK

  • @mattos4g Glock is the standard, everything is compared to it cause its the best.

  • @Kylef7735 Subject to opinion, what they are is established and solid. I've seen glocks fail and personally don't like how jumpy the G22 is when my favorite caliber is .40. My FNP40 and XDm40 are both more comfortable shooters IMO and I've yet to have a failure with either. The g22 was a department gun and not the best taken care of, but that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't perfect and no gun is. All the modern semi-autos from the big names are good guns

  • a Taurus nao é confiável?

    quantas o senhor já teve?

  • too heavy to carry? i doubt its heavier than a 1911 and i carry the gov all day

  • 00:47 - or the black market... lol

  • i am looking at getting the pt 809 but wanted to save 100 and get one of these. I want one with a decocker, some shops say they dont feature a decocker and some say they do. you would know. do they?

  • the 800 series does have a decocker but idk bout the 24/7. i don't think it does but i'm not 100% sure on that one.

  • The pre 2009 24/7 pro's did not feature a decocker, the new 24/7's (DS) do. They made it a standard on all late 2009 24/7 pro models. took me along time to find the ds (decock/saftey) because the old 24/7 pro without the decock uses the same model number. I like the 809 but for the price would choose the s&w m&p pistol.

  • yes the 27/7 does have a decocker the safety is the decocker. when the orange tab in the back of the slide is even with the back of the slide and very vissiable it is cocked and in the SA mode. to decock and place into DA push the saftey to the very top (beyond where it clicks into safe) there will be a loud click (do it unloaded the first time so it doesnt scare you lol it may) and it is now in DA. not sure about the 800 series havent gotten my hands on one yet

  • Ya, just got the pt 24/7 pro ds 9mm 17 rd cap. I guess the oss started the decock saftey then the made it standard on all 2009 24/7 pros. You are right, the trigger is hard to get use to. the following shots are shorter tho.

  • dude do u even know what yr talking about

  • got the 40 cal iv had no jams and iv shot this baby everyday for over a year good cheap gun and i even traded my glock for it i mean dont get me wrong i loved my glock but im glad i traded but than i find out i could have got lots of money for my glock :(

  • I love the NFP but i love my 24/7 Pro more. I think if your used t the Glock he has a point, if not the controls are NOT confusing at all. 24/7 pro, best defender with the BEST price out there guys.

  • love all your videos Nutn.

Like that you used the 19 and not the 17 to compare to.

would have liked to see the XD9 compared to the 19 and not the 17 aswell but also a good video non the less.

when we going to see a video on the XD45C ? I know you have seen problems with them but i like mine and id like to see you put one through some drills.

  • NO BARK!! LOL

  • ill go with nothing less than a 40 cal
