Simple fact. There always has been, now is, and will be rich and poor. Deal with it. I don't have any money, but I don't care if others do. The only problem I have is with government bailing these businesses out. Let them fail. Do not allow them protection from the bankruptcy laws. Do not allow them to reorganize. Then maybe you wouldn't have these ridiculous multi-billion dollar mergers that eventually cause them to fail and screwing stockholders, employees, etc.
Finally, someone makes fun of these people. I love how when we make fun of ourselves like this, the OWS group gets all pissed off. They take these things so seriously, why can't they realize they are wrong and just get off our streets. They want to gov't to control all the money and that is communism and America does not like communism.
You don't have to be a 1% to be against OWS. If you want to make some money in your life and keep the economy running and jobs hiring, you should also be against this crowd. They don't care about jobs. Look at Oakland, which closed down the city, delighting in hurting the economy. All they want is chaos and to abuse police, and get the "brutality" on their Youtube/FB/Twitter. Whiny attention seekers.
@AnotherNutJob Your points are redundant. Monetary policy (which is what you're talking about) doesn't actually have much of an affect. Currency valuation is based on market demand that's based on interest rates. You're correct about interest rates but that's to boost the GDP. Unfortunately the issue is actually the average person that tries to make some extra money by investing in stocks and bonds. In economics we assume that they are logical. Clearly the "occupy" movement shows otherwise.
@AnotherNutJob WoW please do provide some intelligent support for your arguments. You are just stating conclusions without any premises. I guess the extensive testimony before Congress by the chairman is an indication of no accountability or the FED not being a part of the US Government. How have they enslaved the US with Debt. I seem to recall from Econ 00000.1 that debt is needed when spending is greater than revenue. Congress determines both last I checked. Oh well I am sure U R right
Judging from some of the comments here many Americans just don't get satire. This is a an act, a parody of those investment bankers who do think like this. They are acting in public as those guys would act behind closed doors.
@Jwdlol I actually bought the round cufflinks (the square cufflinks look like plastic). LOL I really hope the cufflinks are something like sterling silver or rhodium and not some cheap steel, although i highly doubt it. :p
@ginny2286 I think the occupiers are slowly killing the American dream. It's essentially saying "make the American dream easier for us to achieve." It's not fair that others were able to take advantage of their opportunities. Life wasn't meant to be fair or easy. Why do we have to shift the wealth? Why are people "entitled" to more when companies aren't? I know people are going to attack this comment right away just because they don't agree but actually think about what I've said before you do.

Most important demand is ending the FED because:
1- They've enslaved the U.S. government with debt.
2- They create money out of thin air.
3- The banks that now dominate the U.S. banking system use the FED as a tool to make money.
4- They devalue our currency.
5- They manipulate the U.S. economy by setting national interest rates.
6- They control the money supply.
7- The Federal Reserve is not part of the US government.
8- They've become too powerful.
9- They're not accountable to anyone.
