I think that you play wonderfully, but watch your collapsing fingers. Your hands look very relaxed though, which is great. Also watch your pinkies that stick up. Your technique needs some work.
Almost completely void of rubato, which is fine, but the heavy pedal, especially on the chromatic melodies creates an almost perpetual dissonance, which is unpleasant.
Okay, thanks for all the advice, everyone...but just to clarify this once and for all, the thing with the pedal: my piano is from 1960, and the pedal is quite broken, and doesn't like to release when I release...so yeah, that is why the pedal is muddy. But thanks SO much for all the advice!!!
Little less pedal, little more rubato. The tempo in this piece should not be static and the piece derives most of its emotion from the alteration of tempo during certain parts. Also, about one dynamic level down would be nice.
less pedal! overall, excellent though. it should sound somber and whatnot... but the overwhelming pedal makes it sound way louder than it should.
great playing though! i wish i could play as well as you...
oh, and it might help to move the camera away from the piano, that way you're not getting the full blast of the sound from the piano right into it's mic!
Yes. I agree with everyone's responses on here also. But on the grace notes they should have more of a running tempo.... Just let them gracefully pass by. Also on the chords bring the top voice out more the sound is too thick, this will allow your listeners to have a melody to follow. This is a very good start and this is a very mature piece. Keep working :-) Even though I have fully played this piece there is a small clip of me when I was first learning it. Check it out.
continued. a good reference is arrau. also, pay more attention to phrasing. it will help with the quality of sound, as well as fingers staying closer to the keys so there is not as much "hammering". take these only as suggestions, chopin can be interpreted in many ways
same here i played this piece before and won several awards with it. i have many suggestions, take them as you will. the best way to play it is with lots of pedal. you should clean your pedal, but dont stop using the pedal to the point where it loses its richness. your playing style for this piece is choppy. for this piece, it is best played without a strict tempo, move with the piece.
i am also 15. and i would highly reccomend that you use less pedal. its too muddy. work on more legato fingering and more dynamics. hope that helps you get this peice to perfection. :)
I'm playing that song right now, I play it much faster, and I improv quite a bit of it, but I don't know how old you are. so I can't compare, I might put a video of mine.

nocturnes are supposed to be quiet and contemplative, I felt this was a bit hammery, almost like ragtime. I also agree with everyone on the pedal.
Nothing wrong with that, it's all in the interpretation.

you need to let off the pedal more often between progressions, but other than that, you are seriously good.

At the start a lot of the ornamentation is missing, or not pronounced enough, and to me, the acciaccaturas and whatnot, make the piece. Keep workin!

Yes, please do post a video. I'm still working on interperating pieces. Did you get an exact tempo on your music? Because mine doesn't give me one.
