  • In my dreams i live in Marriott lane... Last house on the left...you can't miss it !

  • R.I.P.stevie & plonk

  • Thanks for this one. Would love to see more songs from the Mijits record uploaded here. The lost, underrated gem of an album it is.

  • So, Ronnie and Marriot did get together to form Majic Mijits, damn, I'll have to read the bios again to find out why it didn't continue on if not to reform Small Faces.

  • @Khultan According to Steve, Keith Richards paid for Ronnie to go to an MS center in Florida in 1981. Steve went to stay with Ronnie and help him out. They were keen to give it a re-try, so the Majic Mijits project was born. Even though Ronnie couldn't play lines, he would verbally explain them. They went back home, recorded in Ron's mobile, but weren't able to do any promotion because it was too difficult carrying him around. Ron for his part claimed Steve stole money earmarked for the project.

  • @gropingwithastoker Thanks for the information. I have a couple of books on the Small Faces, including one by Ian 'Mac' McLagan, himself. I'm trying to get Quite Naturally. It still saddens me that Ronnie, all because of what his mother has suffered from he inherited, as well. Damnit. : (

  • What a voice.

    What a band.

    What a loss.

    Thanks for posting.

  • They truly were Majik Mijits. In fact, all four of the Small Faces were.

  • Lovely song with excellent vocals

  • Think you could post "You Spent It"?

  • ex stuff.i recall seeing marriot and the small faces?? on top of"burtons"mare street hackney 1964/65? with i think jimmy winstone on keys?..defo plonk and kenny.. a wall of marshalls.!!!f-----cn blowing big time..maybe called the muleskinners not sure but that name comes to mind..and i think 7/6 to get in!!!

  • Sort of like the Small Faces going all disco on us.

But of course, they did it well.

RIP Ronald Frederick and Stephen Peter. Marriott-Lane will live on forever.

  • thats legendary!!!

  • best british song writer R.I.P STEVE MARRIOTT!!

  • Great talent lives forever. Rock on Steve and Ronnie.

  • @nancyzeetoo Thanks for the tip, I will

  • Never new they did this album. Guess Ronnie was in a wheelchair when recorded in the 80s. Wish I could find the other songs - two albums?

  • arthur lee and love were as good as the small faces!!!!

  • @shaneshaky1 I saw AL & Love live in the late 60's. Think it was the Hollywood Palladium. While I liked them a lot, they only had a few that hit the top 40 -Orange Sky, Hey Joe and maybe Red Telephone. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't, really check out the Small Faces. "Itchycoo Park", "Lazy Sunday", "All or Nothing", "Tin Soldier", and their concept album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake. Doubt you'll regret the effort.

  • Hadn't heard this before, but after 30 seconds it went to my favourites and got 5 stars.

  • I find it dangerous to listen to this song as I can never get it out of my head for days. RIP little mijits Ronnie and Stevie. Thanks to youtube, you and the SFs will never lack for fans, young and old.

  • If anyone, anywhere can afford to, name a nice street MARRIOTT LANE.

  • thanks for the validation merseymain, it sounded good to me, I could never afford to buy a street, well maybe on an icecap in the far north of B.C., a nice tree lined street is what's needed. The lads deserve it.

  • that's SO beautiful !!!

  • @locheelad2 I wanna live on 'Marriott Lane' Best flipping street name EVER.

  • @wouldntyoulike2know Did you know there is a Ronnie Lane House in manor Park, east london, where he grew up

  • @pentz1 Very cool, I did not know that. :)

  • @locheelad2 very very cool idea, i want one named in Aus as well. Peace

  • @locheelad2 why not ronnie lane?

  • I just got the majik mijits cd.....excuse the language but it is fuckin brilliant I thoroughly recomend

  • First time I've heard that track...quality

  • that was cool, thanks...

  • This tune and "You Spent It" are my favorite tracks from the Majic Mijits.

  • Oh so much so, yeah. I've just given ya thumbs down instead of up! Apologies. I'm on my phone and will sort it on laptop later. It won't let me amend it on phone

  • brilliant,a gem of a tune...........Mad John Italia

  • Cool. Thanks for posting. Such a shame they couldn't get something going then. Nothing against Humble Pie, but Steve made a huge mistake leaving the SF's. Ronnie and Steve made a brilliant team and they could have been as well remembered by the masses as Lennon/McCartney or Strummer/Jones.

  • Don Arden ripped them off big time, dig him up and dance on his bones.

  • great vid for starting with a new channel, thanks

  • thanks, i am sorry for the quallty of the video.

  • beautiful song , probably the last time steve and ronnie worked together

  • Thanks.Never heard this before.
