Well I don't eat meat because I dislike what it is. It's not exactly complicated. Other people have their own reasons which are typically quite simple, too.

I have to laugh at militant vegetarians/vegans. I appreciate people who limit their dietary choices but I resist those who wish to force me to do so. Most of the leaps and bounds of human evolution and our incredible brains stems directly from two things: eating animal flesh and cooking. Animal flesh gives us long-chain proteins that our bodies don't have to synthesize from plant-based short-chain proteins, freeing up a LOT of energy.
