@TRANFUCKER Cobain and Novoselic briefly played gigs as an all CCR cover band, and called themselves "The Sellouts". Cobain thought that an all-CCR cover band would go over well with the rednecks around his hometown in rural Washington, and that it would be an easy way to earn some quick cash, hence the band name. According to Kurt and Krist, the attempt failed and the cover band only lasted a few weeks.
