  • voices stink but otherwise very impressive. GREAT WORK

  • OK, why do Dalek cities have human hand rails?

  • @profquatermass Because it looked pretty at the time... :D

  • @pidgeonsandpiearetas = Maybe they got Thals to design their city? ;)

  • @profquatermass *gasp*

They made their city before they became daleks...

    IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE!

    That works well then... ^_^

  • @pidgeonsandpiearetas - Hehe. Like any good fan we make things up to fit the story!

    Nice one.

  • FUCKEN SWEET WORK!

  • Hi, i commented on your site but got no response yet. How can you open, say, the dalek saga and NSD daleks at the same time without one have the gun of the other?

  • Well...you can't, not really.

They are different figures of different sizes, dramatically different sizes. Which makes them impossible to import into each other without manually resizing them. Not to mention any objects with the same names will replace each other. So if you want to import one into another, you will have to change the names of the objects, like naming the gun in the NSD "NSD Gun" rather than "Gun". That should help.

  • just use anim8tor i find it much easier

  • I can create moveis on Anim8or but have no idea how to make there lights flash. How do you do it?

  • It is tricky, it is done using morph targets on the dome of the figures.

  • you got those robots from the show Dr. Who

  • Why yes I did,

but the specific design is mine, collaborated from various daleks from the show's history.

That is why thye have the new series dalek base and old series shoulders...

  • well there not robots there muntants ina shell

  • where can I get this program?

  • LOLZ

    This rocks! ^^

  • excellent but work on the voices lol

  • You will see them once you render them.

If it still isn't working then I am not sure...

The instructions in my last comment should do it!

I suggest going to the Anim8or forum and having a root around there for the info!

Sorry I couldn't help you more.

  • I use a cinepac codec by radius as a compressor at 800 x 600 resolution.

To get shawdows you need to double click on the objects in the scene and set them to cast and recieve shadows. And you need to double click on whatever lights are in the scene, go to advanced and set to "cast shadows".

    I hope that helps.

And yes, rendering does take FOREVER

  • You should have RayTraced it with anim8or 0.97B.

  • How would that have helped?

I haven't used the ray tracer before

  • Anim8or V 0.97B comes with a Raytracer (you can turn it on by going to Render>>Renderer>>ART Raytracer). Raytracers trace the rays of light generated in the animation to produce incredibly realistic images and videos. However though, it takes a long time to render. But with the Raytracer, you can give objects shadows, reflection, glossiness, an Index of Refraction and make them dielectric. If you have Vista, make sure you go to Render>>multithreaded, it makes it go faster.

  • the voice is actually nicer. well done. you improved on it. the caera angles are very good and the models are spot on. 5 stars

  • Cool! I like the camera moves and the plot, the voices need to be a bit louder but overall I like it!
