  • Never give up!!

  • Check out my new vid of me hitting 315 at 148ibs

  • I just did the same weight today. I am only 185. But I am Russian. We is strong people! :)

  • Just because someone's big doesnt mean they can lift 315! Its about how ur body is used to it! Im not as swole as this guy yet I can do 325lbs

  • @Jocquell911 325?! Dawm, I been stuck at 300 for 6 months. But I'm only 165 lbs. tho....

  • His buff ass should've been able to do that!!

  • Almost there, but good work.

  • @ApprenticeOfAnubis Thank you for the response! I certainly appreciate it. Take care

  • the best thing about this video- it shows what type of people not to have around as a spotters. that portly bastard couldnt even stand over you the correct way- if the wgt did come down on you cause something crazy happen, the lazy ass sitting down behind you has no chance to help and leaving Jek Porkins from starwars to help you- this video should be labeled All out Fail-

  • @vaporeizied8

Haha, yeah, I don't know what that fat bastard was doing. The guy sitting down was the judge, not a spotter. (It was a competition)

  • @1986K10 - still good shit on the post-

  • looks good. remember to keep that head down. You'll hit it soon (if not already)

  • 3 bars is a serious weight... ...i think that is what separates beginners from regulars...

  • not teasing or anything.. but does any one else think this guy ressembles hodgens doctors from the tv series "bones"??? i saw him n was like O_O

  • dude it look as if your grip may be wide by a little bit. Im a tall guy i have to wide grip

  • weighted dips will help from there to lockout., stay away from sissy triceps pushdowns

  • tattoos and no muscle!.lol

  • great work man...you have big tri's to help drive weight...might suggest training with some boards to help push you through your max that always does the trick for me...keep up the great work

  • @bigshides21 what do you mean by "boards"? serious question, thanks

  • @smats42 tape a couple 2X4's together and have someone hold them on your sternum...when you bench lower the weight and pause on the boards then press. I just find that this helps me break through plateau's because it allowes me to do more weight. Eventually you should be able to take a board away and continue to lift the higher weight.

  • @bigshides21 thanks for the info

  • you can lift 800 lbs it doesnt mean shit once ur shrt comes off and theres no chest there

  • @inktoxicated im not sure what you mean but im inktoxicated too!

  • @inktoxicated Actually it's the opposite. Strength over looks unless you are just some kind of pretty boy prison bitch or something.

  • i'm 6ft 1 and can hit that at 192 lbs

  • Now thats real strength instead of kids i see who bounce the weight off there chest.... Nice bro

  • I think he let the bar slide to the lower portion of his chest which makes it a little harder, he looks strong enough to do it.

  • that pitty bad for a guy his size.......

  • @a92123 He's not big, at all, bro. He's 6 feet, and maybe 210lb. That's slightly above average.

  • Comment removed

  • ya but im 6" and 230lbs

  • @iversonandmuhamidali To improve your bench, you should bench press about two days a week, spaced out at least 48 hours from one another. For instance, if you do it Monday night, then you should do it again no sooner than Wednesday evening. During your workout, you should aim for 30 reps divided into however many sets suit your goals, such as bulking up (5 reps x 6 sets=30 total reps; or 8 reps x 4 sets=32) or toning (10 reps x 3 sets=30; or 15 reps x 2 sets=30). Hope this helps! Patience.

  • weakkkkkkkkkkkkk sauce

  • You need to work on your shoulders and triceps more, help you power threw that plateau you hit on the way up, also what worked a ton for me is use a cage and set the safety bars about 6 inches above chest level with 315# and start at the bottom and just focus on pushing it up, its called reverse bench press, and it works awesome!

  • BRAVO!!! Perfect form! Bring it down, pause, push it up. If you bounced it like everyone else on YouTube you'd be benching 385+. Thank you for posting a video of someone using correct form. BEAUTIFUL!

  • Chuck Norris?

  • what do we do when we fail, try again, well done, not outta your range

  • at least its a clean attempt..most peoples asses come so far off the bench it looks like the sanfran bridge...negatives and prymids work great for strength too ;)

  • bro how tall are you?

  • @EhTucker

6 feet tall. I can actually put up like 330-340 right now. Gonna max out in October and prolly have a new video up.

  • I hope to try 315 in about 12 months, that seems like a long way away, but in my mind, it is like tomorrow; I can do 265 now, and want to go hard, so when the time comes, there will be no doubt; have you uploaded an update since this video??

  • @ourlifeisavapor Same here bro, i do 265 and i want to hit 315 On new years eve. You gotta push yourself even if it hurts.

  • @MoNST3RxHD ; I just got 275! I may aim for 295 by Thanksgiving; Are you going to upload your lifts?

  • @ourlifeisavapor Nice! Yeah I will once i get a better stronger bench. What are you stats? (height, age, weight)

  • @MoNST3RxHD ; 6'3"...37 years, 226 lbs; my squat and deadlift are extremely low; I hope to start a beginner lower-body eventually; I use a home gym so I don't have access to a leg-press machine (which I prefer).

  • @ourlifeisavapor 226lbs seems good for your height. Just in case your wondering, im 15(LOL) 5'7 and 190lbs. Ill be posting some lifting vids soon

  • @MoNST3RxHD My freshman year of college I was 18, my bench was 85 pounds! (two tens on each side), most people in the gym mocked me, but 2-3 guys worked with me and were very friendly despite my embarrassment.

  • @ourlifeisavapor yours is one of the few honest posts here on liartube. kudos to you sir!

  • @smats42 Thanks for your video on Proper Squatting, I added it to my playlist; My Squats are still deplorable, but I plan on making that a focus the next 2 years;

  • bad technich

  • @laleyildirim Says the guy who can't spell technique...

  • Damn man that was so close, it was just your triceps that wouldn't let you lock it out! I get stuck at that same exact spot on bench :( Good try man and next time you'll smoke it!!

  • Coulda done it without the gay ass music the the background.

  • I'm 18 and bench 200, guess all these 13 year olds can kick my ass, oh well, atleast I'm telling the truth :)

  • why does everyone talka bout how someone who cant bench a certain amount of weight is a pussy....strength is a relative term....just because a 350 body builder can bench more than a 100 pound guy doesnt make them weak..

  • good attempt but why didnt u take a spotter to help u move the bar from the rack

  • @muzimuzi i see it if that if you can't lift the weight off the hook without properly doing it...don't bench it it's ognna be even harder

  • @TrainedIndian hmm got a point there but the reason u use some1 to take the bar from the rack is to have more power for ur benchpress itselfs... but i think i know what u mean , sevral times when i benched just from unracking alone and holding the weight i knew 80% im not gonna make it for even 1 rep but sometimes i actually did , im generally pretty weak so it was always hard for me to unrack alone and i push with a lot of will , or else i wont get the lift (lots of shouting to)

  • @muzimuzi right but you must remember well i don't know about you but ME i lift to get stronger...so it's best to give it your all, so i mean yes i need a spotter when i hit 2 plates, but i always tell them let me do it all, and when i can do it, just lift the whole thing up, because i wanna give it my all, and that includes lifting it from the hook, but if you're new, then i'd rather do have a lift off, i was just giving my opinion, so in a nutshell, try n give it YOUR work.

  • @TrainedIndian so you mean you wanna "feel" the entire lift from unracking alone to the whole process, thats all good just that it wont work when you get to serious weights (if u do) i mean 315 is serious but i mean really heavy weights like above 440, that would jepordy u with an injury to try and unrack it alone, im actually not to new to lifting i also competed once but cant say im very XPed either hehe, been lifting for 2 years and been working out for almost 4

  • @muzimuzi well honestly 315 is quite serious to me...LOL i mean some people stand and watch and be like "wow...that's so easy" they get under there and shit they can't even lift the bar off the hook without like grunting or something. but yes i mean 2 plates or under, you should lift it yourself...if you're doing serious weights.. like well "440" i rather have two spotters one on each side of the bar you know

  • @TrainedIndian yea i know its all realtive in lifting business , for me 315 is also big deal and i'd probably scream to lift it but for some big guys its a warm-up lol, and sometimes i see TEENs doing it and i remember when i was a teen i benched only half of that and was happy lol, but we all struggle for better i guess

  • @muzimuzi yeah lift what you can homie...don't trip about what others can do unless you're a pro bodybuilder going in a competition. teens and adults can be a bit different...since teens and adults have different schedules (in my opinion) so therefore they have more free time to do whatever the hell they want.

  • @TrainedIndian I used to train for powerlifting but these days im kind of lost in the weakness so im not so sure im up to the task anymore

  • Funny how almost all of these videos have teens sating they can bench 300+ yet they never put up a vid.Put up or STFU.

  • i hate moments like that specially with a crowd.

  • i'm sure he can do it he just probably needs another 2 weeks to get it back. yall know what i mean.

  • That pause was awfully long. Only needs to be a noticeable pause. Also he let the weight settle into his chest which takes the tension off the pecs and makes it much more difficult. Done properly, this would have blasted through that middle sticking area and been locked out clean.

  • Why did the spotter not pull the weight up that much? Its a competition lift its not like hes working out lol...

  • @santahatpk spotters a pussy lol

  • I'm 12, 5'8 and 140 lbs. I bench 110lbs is this good thx.

Also my douchebag brother benches 315 15-18 times on the interent and he is 6 foot with long arms, although for some reason he has no videos of him doing that on his channel.

On a serious note you moved the weight 4" towards your feet when you touched which completely wrecked the leverage you were using.

  • @meatballstyle If 110 is your bench for your age and weight, thats pretty good, The first goal you should make for yourself is to bench your body weight then go from there! Good Luck!

  • @pikarichcantsing Oh yeah tough talk. Anyone who can bench even 250, isn't a pussy. You're just a dumbass

  • @batmanjgvelasquez Is weightlifting a race to see who gets better results? You're so fuckin stupid, and you're lying through your teeth dumbass

  • @TeenyTiny945

    Well said brother

  • If that wasnt a paused press you would have got it no doubt. People can talk all the shit they want but how many times do you see paused presses in the gym especially bench? lol

  • @batmanjgvelasquez my dog does better than your little dick... euh brother I mean

  • @batmanjgvelasquez wow only 315 at 17???my grandma can bench 415 at 90 years old

  • @buster999121 your grandma is mr husk(hulk) =D

  • I'd much rather see someone fail and do it right then someone get the weight up after bouncing it off their chest and using their back to get it up. good attempt!

  • You would of got that easy if you would of had a lift off. Good try though man.

  • Good try man nice control to long of pause at the bottom though no bounce no back arch great flat bench. You could push that easy if you took the easy route of bouncing and pushing it threw your toes and lifting your lower back up but its good to see someone try it raw and clean....

  • good try.... you look pretty jacked though; like you'd be able to press 315. it took 8 years of lifting before i was able to press that much. keep trying man. once those three plates get on there, most of it is in your head...

  • You could have got that. You prob doubted yourself before the press.

  • great attempt. it takes a while despite what internet warriors think to get up to a 315 bench press. thats a ton of weight. im closing in on 405. only %3 of people on the planet earth can bench press 315 pounds. only %5 can bench press their weight.

  • good attempt

  • the man in the background wants you to give a thumb down :)

  • hate those guys who thinks gym is showtime

  • Looks like 305 or 310lbs. is his Max at the time this video was made.

  • Gotta say it, man: You may have failed, but at least your negative wasn't shitty like most people who bounce it off their chest just to say they can do the weight. Good job, bro! Keep pressin and you will get there. Work on the tris and lats and you'll press it in no time.

  • This guys looks big. This should be lightweight to him

  • @batmanjgvelasquez video or gtfo

  • why would you post a failed attempt, maybe i should up load my montage of missed basketball shots

  • @choadattack lol thats funny. But if he keeps working out, eventually he will press even more than this wieght. So when he comes out with a video of him making the lift, it can be compared.

  • @batmanjgvelasquez Ok and IF he does do 315 im sure your brother is probably some fatass kid i think its funny when kids that wiegh about 275 can bench 315 thats weak as fuck terrible lb for lb

  • @batmanjgvelasquez dude it isnt good to compare different people i struggle at 100lbs...

and im 16 but im a beast at any ab work out and pull ups..

everyone has their stregnths and weaknesses.

  • @BryanCentral at your age you can build up bench press pretty quickly. just force yourself to go up every 1-2 weeks ~5 pounds. always use a spotter. and most importantly, remember to breath so you don't pass out.

  • @bloodred345 thank you, and of course, i have a class in school where we lift and we always have 3 spotters but thank you i will go up 5 pounds every week and i'll force myself, thank you though.

  • Where was your buddy with the liftoff? You might have got it had you had one. Props to you for stopping until they said lift, it's tougher than a good bounce that's for sure. Hit that chest. I'm the opposite, big chest, small triceps.

  • Where was your buddy with the liftoff? You might have got it had you had one. Props to you for stopping until they said lift, it's tougher than a good bounce that's for sure. Hit that chest. I'm the opposite, big chest, small triceps.

  • thats because of the lame music playing in the background ;)

  • Are u seriously listening to Man Eater while you work out? O.o

  • Good Attempt! What weight class do you compete in?

  • i wouldnt worry about the dick comments....looks like you got the tricep strength for the lockout. just get that chest strength up. i had that problem at 350

  • @batmanjgvelasquez Whats your problem seriously. You probably couldnt even lift 100

  • Building the chest is hard for guys your size. I am only 19 and i bench 300 but i am 5'10 and weigh 190. My arms are kinda short like most guys my height. That makes it easier to bench. Guys 6 foot and up usually are way better at legs such as yourself.

  • @batmanjgvelasquez a 315 max is huge, and even if u were telling the truth it doesnt take away te fact that even at 35 this is a great max. average man could bench like 95

also i dont beleive ur claims

  • @godlytroller And you're probably sitting there at 35 years old sitting in your moms basement eating hot pockets

  • a lot of its mental. i think you got it in ya

  • @godlytroller Your login is "godlytroller"... fail troll is fail.

  • fags talking shit lets see u bench it

  • @godlytroller what does it matter. at least he has heart. bitch.

  • no offense but a guy your size should be able to throw that shit up no prob. I rep that 15-18 times bro. I am only 6'2 225lbs with long arms so its even harder for me. In fact, my 16 year old brother repped that 3xs today!

  • Yo good try. I did one rep of that exact weight today. Its not easy

  • nice try

  • Holy shit dude, your arms are jacked as all hell.

  • i can tell on a good day for u this would be no problem

  • Annnnnnnnnnnnd....you suck :)

  • Good try. Have you tried it again since then?

  • I do 4 reps with 315.

  • You know, if your spotter help you lift it. You would have max 315. People think its cheating, its not. You are trying to lift a dead weight to start. That alone takes a lot out of your possible reps.

  • I know by now you got 315 ez but a lot of people fail on 315 because of a mental block. Somewhere in the back of your mind your playing back your failed attempts. Plus you say " my chest has always been hard for to build up, it's always been weak." Stop saying that start saying "you got it ez". And work a little on your powerlifting tech, too. and you’ll hit heavier weights in no time.

  • Who the hell are your training partners?! You are the only one in the video who looks fit. The other two look like couch potatoes.

  • haah wow im 16 and i can get up 315 3 times. .haha but once your 6'7 313 pounds . that might make a difference

  • a senior at my school benches 450, without a spot. ( devon travis)

  • @DEADLYSK8ER15 450 is a huge bench good on him. he a big dude like 270 or sum shit

  • you had it if you didnt get so low with the bar...

  • @batmanjgvelasquez Get lost you little puke.

  • fuck almost bud. do you power press at all? I mean with a arched back, tight glutes, squeezed shoulder blades, & elbows in. I'm only asking because adding these techniques to your bench press will add some serious weight. good job though man. wicked deadlift by the way

  • lol weak sauce

  • omfg..my mother does 670. my daddy does900, my lil bro does 350 and hes only 6. my dog can do 225. my friend, which i cant remember his name..well he can do 400 and wel i can do 315 over my head! OMFG!

lol the people on here, i wanna see their vids

  • Comment removed

  • I'm 15 and I max out 180-200 that's not too horrible right? Everyone on here is doing like 400-infinity. You guys are crazy strong

  • close one

  • Arch your back more. Also, try to keep your whole body tight. I would also pull my shoulderblades together and make sure I use my whole body to lift the weight. remember, bench press isn't just a chest exersize, it's a full body lift. And take a super deep breath b4 you bench and hold it in during the entire lift :)

  • everyone on here is superman and benches outrageous amounts...yeah..right.

well you know what i bench 10lbs and im 2 ft tall

  • My Friend does almost 400 and hes 18 bud your weak sauce.

  • Keep trying dude. I am 28. I weigh about 215 and do 330. 6 months ago I could barely do 300. You just have to stick with it. I started doing a lot of dumbbells and that made a huge difference on my bench max.

  • @batmanjgvelasquez

315 is a lot of weight. Not many people can bench that. He pretty much had it too. A few more months with lots of food and continuous heavy training and he'll hit it. There is no reason to try to bring people down. It's just weight lifting. You can either lift a certain weight or you can't. Everyone's body is different. Your little brother is gifted with genetics for a very strong chest. There are many other things in life that other people can do that your brother can't.

  • @batmanjgvelasquez i like how u make it seem like 315 is nothing at all most ppl work out for yrs trying to get to that. it took me about a yr

  • 315 is what highscools do lol

  • @AndyAngelZ how does a highschool bench press? When your 250 lbs you should b able to bench 315 jerk off. Im 170, 26 and can only bench 295 and can still kick your ass. btw who tha fuck puts Angel in their name unless they suck cock.. oh yea you. ha

  • @Slassh69x the way people in high school bench press is by doing everything your not supposed to do. They throw their asses about a foot in the air off the bench when they rep and they always use perfect grip instead of wide grip because they are to pussy. iv seen it all.

  • almost had it man im 17 and i got a vid of 315 but it wasent comp style just hit it after a workout

  • @batmanjgvelasquez Most grown men can't bench 315 lbs. If your brother really is benching that then he is in an elite class of about 5% of teenagers. Lets see your video tough guy.

  • you look pretty big to not be able to hit 315, but good try. You should always get a lift off especially at a "meet" If you have to obey a press comand you should only be in the negative portion before the press. At least you look pretty tough.

  • Damn, you almost had it..

My fails look real similar..right about the at that same spot.

  • @batmanjgvelasquez

Well, my chest has always been hard for to build up, it's always been weak. I can close grip almost as much as I regular bench. At least I can deadlift 540 lbs, is that enought for you, at a bodyweight of about 210 and 6 feet tall? Good for your little brother, that's awesome. Go tallk shit somewhere else.

  • @1986K10 well im 16 and weigh 195 and do 325...but i prefer to have someone help me with the lift-off...always affects me for some reason...don't know if that might help you

  • @1986K10 Yeah I was actually really surprised by this, I got a first look at you, and you looked pretty fucking jacked, definitely big enough to do 315. I can get 300 and i'm no where near as big as you, but then I read the comment about deadlifting 540 and i'm sure you can probably squat a lot too. My best friend has the same problem, he can rep 315 on squats for sets of 10 doing ass to ground squats, as low as he can physically go, deadlift 405x5, but he can't bench 275, i think its common.

  • @1986K10 It's probably because his brother is a meathead and only does upper body workouts and has no idea that he probably looks like an idiot with a big chest and skinny twig legs.

  • @1986K10 you should ignore stupid comments like that one. good set.

  • Comment removed

  • @1986K10 same with me. my chest seems much weaker in comparison to my shoulders, back, and legs. nice lift anyways. maybe if you had a shot of caffein you could have lifted it lol

  • @1986K10 hey dnt listen man this guys all tak good job and keep working at it!

  • @1986K10 im right there w you bro.. my bench has always suffered and close grip is almost equal to it..thank god for deadlifts tho haha.. good shit buddy keep workin hard

  • @1986K10 Too slow not enough speed and aggression on the positive motion. Got to attack that that shit with Control, Aggression, Speed, Technique. I call it C.A.S.T. Im Knocking on 405lbs door and would never have gotten up that far with aggressively attacking the weights.

  • @1986K10 Got the same problem, strong back but weak chest. any ideas yet as to why? need some advice here

  • @1986K10 The problem isn't your height, or your levers, it's your technique - it's terrible. Wide, flared elbows are robbing you of chest drive and placing loads of stress on your shoulders, you have no decent arch, your back isn't set at all, you didn't drop your shoulders and adjust your elbows, you had no leg drive, you were wobbling on the bench and had no stability. Too much time shuffling about prior to the lift. Catalogue of errors, search up dave tate's six-week bench press cure.

  • almost

  • geeez I wouldn't call that a failed attempt, if you were lifting non contest you could have pulled off about three reps. 5 stars on that lift that was NOT a failed attempt.

  • you seem to have the size..have someone give u the initial lift...good luck.

  • come on in only 17 and my max was 345

  • @RicanMan16 hahaha such bullshit, who are you trying to impress?

  • @theboss9418 im actually suppose to be doing more cuz i weigh 300 pounds, my teams running back does benches 330 and he weighs 210.

  • @RicanMan16 ok, well that is respectable. I'm just talking about the little 12 year olds on here talking about how weak this guy is. I'm a freshman in highschool and my max is right around 200, so 315 is a goal of mine.

  • @theboss9418 clearly you watched his video, so you

  • Comment removed

  • @theboss9418 Get over yourself, I can do what you can't. Deal the fuck with it.
