ok Unlocking the bootloader doesn't mean you can just install roms. up still need to be rooted. the unlocked bootloader just makes it easier for the roms to be installed

My next phone will definitely be the GSII for sure I don't care what htc comes out with and how good it looks on paper they are incapable of making an all around great device I really think they could learn a thing or two from Samsung! People care about being Able to see their screens on a bright sunny day (I live in Arizona) people care about the speaker volume being loud enough for you to show a couple of friends a YouTube vid & you all be able to hear or at least getting through the wrk day

And this is from someone who has given htc the benefit of the doubt many of times I got the evo 4G on launch day and it was problematic from the very start then I switched to the epic 4G and was in heaven all the problems I had with the evo were gone Samsung got it right! Then when u switched carriers I gave htc a second shot with the thunderbolt and omg besides the amazing speeds of LTE it was an even worse experience than the evo and I just recently got the Droid Charge and love it!

HTC is still lagging behind Samsung who by the way never locked their bootloaders to begin with. The will still have the same washed out screens when compared to super amoled plus the same horrid and low speaker quality for music and vids battery life thats the worst among the greats and the same defunct camera optics. I'm glad to see htc hopping on board and doing the right thing but I don't ever see myself choosing an htc device over a Samsung the quality just isn't there yet...
