@papachuck63 all 3800s are "Buick V6s" The fastest production Pontiac Firebird is the 98-02 Firebird Formula Firehawk if you wanna get technical. Unless your talking about the old bone 3.8 turbo. Nice for its time, but its dated technology. LS1s run circles around them every day of the week and twice on Sunday. And thats coming from someone who loves the Buick Grand National.
@FiredUpZ28, you are right about the old school and the new 3800 not having much in common. About 15 years ago I built a 231 v6 with a lot help from Kenny Bell and Herbert Racing Cams that would lay a Chevy 350 to waste. It was built with 12:5 to 1 pistons and a 500 lift, 300 dur cam sitting in a Monza. The GN's could still take it until I added 150 hp shot NOS kit. I raced it many times and shocked the living hell out of many people. We now own a Mazda Miata with a series 2 , 3800 V6. in it.
@clborg88 That's exactly what a troll would say. I have a v6 camaro, and that thing is a beast. You wanna know my secret? Tiger blood. mambobro = winning.
People make fun of hondas little 1 liter engines and puttin fart cans on them, does a v6 firebird with nothing but exaust not count as an american ricer? Just sayin
lol idk i have the a 97 v6 firebird and judging on all these peoples videos of their exhaust systems they all sound absolutely disgusting and completely rice i think id rather just run another stock pipe and t my exhaust to dual and make it tht unless some1 prove me wrong i see that as the only worth while way
@namelessanarchy16 you could just try finding a trans am or formula muffler and hooking it up at the axle like im doing. nice way to get dual tips and not much louder than stock.
who uses magnaflow?flowmaster or spintech all day.i got same car with flowmaster, better sound quality.flowmaster sounds better on everything.i shouldnt hate though.still better than stock.
Except that Flowmaster makes some of the worst flowing aftermarket mufflers. They're better than the turbo mufflers that are essentially the same as stock, but can't compare to the flow of a straight through core style muffler like Magnaflow, Borla, B&B, SLP, and Corsa. This isn't just my opinion, it's fact. And in case you don't believe me, do some research. Sound is really the only strong selling point for Flowmaster. And even at that, I prefer the sound of the others I mentioned.
mine same year but convertable and same color but the inside is black interior with racing seats, i changed all the oxygen sensor to racing ones and it added 64hp and 53tq...makes a big sifference to upgrade simple shit..no the breathing of the car sounds like ws6 what most dont know the firebird all have a special air intake system which gives its special unique abilitie that no other car can compare, plus they are so special that they were to exspensivve to make and GM stop after the gas prices
@mambobro i have a v6 bird if you get into it real deep you get a nasty rasp sounds....and its also not good for your engine when you rev it high on a cold start...so hes smart for not gettin on it...and if he wants to just warm the car up first before stepping too deep
I have to say I have never been a huge fan of people putting exhaust upgrades on V6's but you have seemed to prove me wrong. Nice job, what kinda exhaust setup do you have?
cool nova scotia, used to live there

@isiahmaes05 , might want to check out what the fastest Pontiac Firebird ever produced was. One Hint, it had a Buick V6 in it.

Lulz and to think you wasted your money on an LS1 when you could have just bought some o2 sensors
CommishTH 2 years ago
What? O2sensor are to read the a mount of air to fuel ratio. Not to give it hp or tq. Give me a link for these o2 sensors

u afraid to get into the high rpm's?

I like it sounds nice! Did you do the 3 inch piping with the 3 inch cat and s pipe? Or did you go 2 1/2 and replace the cat also without the S pipe?
