i have some sugeestion for you : - Fog - better shadow darkened - Menu (at the beginning) - Inventory - Display HP bar or something you can add like money or gold - Pause - You can open a door while your character move to a door - Bigger map and realistic real , you better make a map of the bottom is not empty, you can create a great sea - Your character can jump That's all , i'm not say your video ugly even is great , i can't make that , i just give advice :D

@rezkizuka Blender Game Engine is integrated in Blender. So you can make 3d objects and the game at the same time. I don't think java can be used in Blender. But python is rather easy.
@grawar1 You need to make him move towards the player character and attack when he is close to him. You will need a pathfinding algorithm to make the NPC evade obstacles.
@PotadoTomado Serious attempts always exist. The results depend on the game engine. Video's title is serious attempt not serious game. Although I try to make it as good as I can.
@OblongSausage Add a spot lamp go to lamp buttons, activate buffer shadows and tinker with Shadowbuffersize and Bias. If you don't want the lamp only to cast shadows and not emit light activate the onlyshadow option.
@OblongSausage Probably the normals are the problem. Go to edit mode, select the faces in the places where you can see inside your character, press W and select flip normals.
@Parkourforthewin I've used basic trigonometry to control the camera. Camera is moving on an imaginary sphere and the player is at the center of the sphere. By changing the radius of the sphere and tinkering with the cons,sins etc I can manipulate the camera the way I want. In this video I'm not using this method. You will find it in more recent updates of the game. Here I've just parented the camera to the player.

@rokstar234 About enemies AI, just google for enemies AI or enemies pathfinding. You will find many different methods for creating enemies and NPCs AI. As for the magic animation and target locking, this is something complicated and has to be divided into steps, e.g. the target locking mechanism must be coded separately from the cast magic mechanism. I need more details on how you want it to work.

How do you make your textures show up in the game. When I do test renders to see how the texture came out, it looks fine. but then when I press P to start he game. All i get is the default color.
@SkylessNight You don't want an enemy to do much. Just to stay still or wander until he meets the hero. Then he attacks. All you need is a good path finding algorithm. Search for the a star algorithm. There are many pages that explain how it works.

I know that this video is an old upload but just in case you haven't added this yet (if your still working on this) you should add a slow parent mod to your 3rd person cam. that way your player will look more fluent and realistic.
