If I could place one point,or place, in time that this music brings me too It would perhaps be on an english country side in the early fall back in victorian times, or perhaps walking serenely in a vast well manicured english, or french, estate or palace garden having afternoon tea with friends.
I have always loved the sweet and etherial sound of the french horn and this masterpiece reminds me of how much I truly love this particular instrument!
The strings, mixed with the horn, give it the perfect flavor, texture and sound.
This song is really fun to listen to, but MUCH more fun to play!! It takes a while to learn it though. One of my favorite solos I have played. :) I don't usually tell people that I've played it because they ask me to play it, and some days, you just don't have that high range. :)
This is not Barry Tuckwell. Listen to Tuckwell's articulations, inflexions, and releases and compare the two. Whoever is playing this is a very fine player, however. It definitely sounds like a European performer, but I don't think it's one of the famous Czech players, either. Sound is a bit heavy to be from the old Hungarian school, so my guess is as good as anybody's!
This isn't Barry Tuckwell, i have this concert played by Tuckwell and it the interpretation is defferent,,,,,,,,,,,may i upload it latter on my channel........

I agree, this sounds like Tuckwell, plus he recorded so many pieces from this time period - I would be shocked if it was anyone else.
