I just went to it at the Telus World of Science in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I thought it was a great way to remember the victims of this tragedy. Although the building wasn't big enough to hold the Grand Staircase and The Big Piece.
Oh.My.God. I've heard of this, but was never told nor did I hear that it was on an actual makeshift ship. I SO want to see this! Is it in Vegas? Gosh...when it got to the grand staircase I teared up...and then the piece of the actual ship, I was like crying. So beautiful on video, can't imagine what it'd be like in person. :-)
it was an incredible exhibit! I went to it while it was in Milwaukee. It's traveled all over the world, & I'm pretty sure it's still going on. Beautiful!
thanks so much for this video!!!! Ialways wanted to go to the exhibit, but never got the chance. Thanks also for not filling the video with noise or other things, and just filming the exhibit like a video tour...5 stars for an excellent tour.
I went to the Exhibit and I got to touch the Big Piece! (you're not supposed to, but I had to) I saw it at the Luxor in Las Vegas! It was overwhelming!
Ive been to the exhibite. I remember seeing the huge peice and all those amazing artifacts. also I got to touch a peice of it. Not the big peice but a small peice!
Your video close ups of the model Titanic was brilliant. That wasnt @ O2 either. Mind we generally pay the most over here & usually get the least to see. Thought the O2 exhibition was fantastic until I saw the Grand Staircase elsewhere on your video (howd U smuggle Yr camera in? Wish Id have tried that too!)
Never mind it was a moving experience & after 9days Im still buzzing & boring whoever will listen to me ;)
It's amazing how all of the artifacts are still in great shape like that one teacup... i was perfectly normal but it had just one chips where you'd put your lip! ONE CHIP! that's truly amazing
@fastnsexy - No Grand Staircase? That's kind of a shit deal. Me and my Girlfriend took a picture on it that turned out really good and it was only $10.00 and they had an actual piece of the base of the center piece (the angel at the bottom of the stairs) displayed infront of it.
It was pretty sweet. That was actually one of my favorite parts of the entire Exhibition.
@fastnsexy That sucks there's no grand staircase in Vegas anymore. When I went there, and the exhibition was at the Tropicana, they did have the grand staircase portion of the exhibit. So, that means the Luxor version doesn't?
Also, if you have seen James Cameron's "Ghosts of the Abyss" documentary, you can see that wood work panels in walls, support posts, and ceilings of the D deck reception areas, along with the beautiful lead glass windows has survived as well.
Just saw it yesterday, very cool. Although photos werent allowed i managed to sneak a few in.. such as the grand staircase though there was an official photographer there taking group pictures standing on the stairs. There were too many ppl around and occasionally security, saw no one else taking pics, but it wouldve been cool to make a video like this with more pics and titanic movie music.
i was the science center where the artifact exhibition was, and a couple of apes (security guards) where harassing some guy cause they thought he had a camera -_-. thanks for uploading this for all of us and sticking it to them. :)

It’s really interesting to see the artifacts from the Titanic debris field, although there isn’t any archeological significance to the exhibit, it does quench the publics intense curiosity about the wreck. The big piece is also amazing to see, it shows close up and personal the incredible forces at work that tore the ship apart. At the very end it must have been a terrifying experience to be on that ship. We tend to romanticize the event but the big piece shows that it was anything but.
3:14 they had that at the exibit in las vegas which was the one i went to. well i went to the one in LA as well like 7 years ago i dont remember it very well but nither were even close to being this col
hey thanx for sharing this video, interesting to see the reconstructed staircase and rooms, lool i wud be just the same testing the door handles to see if one opens! (even though its blates just a flat wall behind it) were is this museum by the way?
"The Big Piece" has a 10 year stay at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. I just saw it a few days ago...amazing piece. Really shows the power it took to rip double and sometimes triple plates of steel in half... Some of the port holes still had glass in them...although broken to some degree...the glass was an inch thick!
@J4CK100 I wish they were real but they're not. Nearly all of Titanic's interior has been eaten away. The staircase is completely gone, there's a theory that it might have floated off of the sinking Titanic shortly after the dome imploded........ The sets from the movie were all destroyed as well.
@maudale I saw this exhibition in San Francisco in 2006. Some of the Titanic Artifact Exhibitions do not have the staircase replica and such, just depends on the size of the building the exhibition is put in
@tortuga91 There are real pieces of the TItanic's wood panelling that was found amongst thousands of pieces of floating debris in the days and in the weeks after the sinking that are on display in various museums today. At the Peabody Martime Museum in Massachusetts nearly 30 years ago, I saw a 1' panel that came from one of the 2 1st class grand stair cases, along with a Sunday April 14 menu found on the body of a 1st passenger.
actually saw and touched the piece of hull after they brought it into boston for an exhibition. back then it was still rusty and kinds of just plopped up. Recently went to the foxwoods exhibition- but it was kinda lame-nothing like this video. This exhibit looks real nice. So where is the Hull piece now?
I actually saw (and touched) the piece of hull when they first brought it up into falmouth, MA and kinda of impromptu displayed in in boston, back then it was still all rusty with some garden hoses misting it all day. Went to the foxwoods exhibition this week- kinda lame didn't have much there compared to the boston shoe some years back. This exhibit looks to be real nice- much more stuff
Hi I am a Spanish girl who has been amazed by this video, though I doubt round the head, this you say about the big piece is a museum or a lifelike reconstruction, if so I would like to tell me where located and whether it can go visit, muchisimas gracias!
I'm not exactly sure where the Big Piece is right now, but there is a Titanic museum that's an actual sized reconstruction of the first quarter of the ship. it's located in Branson Missouri. You can walk on a replica of the Grand Staircase and much more!
@tortuga91 The Big Piece is at the Luxor in Las Vegas now. I just went to the exhibit today. How were you able to take photos and shoot video?? Not only were we not allowed to take pictures but we were also told not to chew gum before entering! lol
@ElPanas You can see the Big Piece in Las Vegas at the Titanic Artifact Exhibit at the Luxor. I just came from seeing it yesterday and from what I read the Big Piece will be solely on display at the Luxor till 2018
that piece of the boat is in pretty damn good shape for being underwater for so long. Why couldn't they just leave the thing alone, Don't disturb it and leave it in peace, yes it's very cool to see but leave it alone. if they try to raise it the thing will crumble
Have you seen the one in Las Vegas. Simply magnificent. Diamonds still sparkling, perfume still smelling, bowls stacked like dominos with not a single flaw, and a small chunk(which is incredibally large)of a deck in perfect condition-other than minor rust. Absolutely magnificent.
@ZachLivingway1 yes i saw it when it came to my home town. I even asked one of the people who was working there if that was THE piece that was pulled up because i myself did not belive it. They told me it is but its not the whole thing.
i agree with the people who say the wreck shouldn't be disturbed, with that said, old graveyards get dug up all the time to make way for new condos. its unfortunate but this was bound to happen one day. look at the WTC steel being used in a battleship. maybe not the same situation entirely but in my eyes its the same difference.
I was at the exhibit in Los angeles Ca and I jumped over the barricades at the big piece and touched the Titanic ,I got in trouble, but I only live once.
it amazing trust me but you should not just take the dead stuff thats the same as grave robbers... you should not have even found this stuff. this is thw way god wanted it and then it should stay at the bottom of the sea the way the owners would have wanted it its the deads stuff not yours!!!
how dare u americans steal that stuff from us titanic was an irish ship not an american one you have no right to have at stuff over there it should b here in irland and the uk. U god damn thiefs
@bigdazza24 Umm. That's what us Americans call RUDE. The Titanic was in fact, in case you don't know headed for New York because obviously they didn't want to be in Ireland or the UK. So backkk off. :)
What a whiner you maker. The exhibition is the most annoying ever. It doesn't have a catalog you can buy. They are 10 exhibitions with the same name, all presenting different artifacts. It's a crime against memory that people can't even know what is in which. All this because the wrong people own the Titanic items. Good for them if people are able to bring camera in.
It is, but after seeing this I wish I'd have had the guts to film it when I was there. Yes, each exhibit is different, there isn't just one. Also, I'm booking that anniversary cruise this week - can't wait! There will be a memorial service at 2:20am where the ship went down (or where it rests now, not sure), exactly 100 years to the minute that the ship slipped below the surface. I get chills just thinking about it.
U moron do u think they could build a 45000 tonne ship just by winging it... There are renderings of what every inch of the ship looked like drawn up by the team of designers they even disigned every light fixture and banister to match the decoration
I saw this exhibition in Atlantic City in 1998 or so. I remember you could get failry close to the "big piece". Later both a friend of mine and my sister said that they had reached over and touched the big piece when no one was looking. Aaargh! Wish I had done that.
I saw it about ten years ago when it was at the Rio in Las Vegas. They used to have professional photographers on site who provided clothing to dress up in. Then you could have a family portrait taken "aboard the Titanic". It was a really neat way to end the tour and I wish they still did that. But unfortunately, it's only there to look at now.
I'll say it takes about 1 hour 1/2. There's lots of personal objects and pieces of the ship engine plus china from the 1st and 2nd class. Tickets are about 20 bucks (there's a discount with the NY subway Metro card). You are only allowed to go 2 or maybe 3 steps up on the stair case (wich is impressive). Somebody would take pic for you that u can pic up at the end (like 15 bucks extra). Souvenir shop has replicas of the ship's china (kinda expensive) and the same kind of soap used on Titanic.
Ah I meant I thought I saw the outside of it looked like the ship its self and u walked through and see what ur showing. But its just like a normal building and everything? It's in nyc now.
You walked through the exhibit, like a museum, but not like walking through the Titanic itself. A lot of the artifacts were incredibly beautiful, and you really have to go see it when you get a chance. It's in New York City right now at the Discovery Times Center. 20 bucks a person. Really worth it. Ghost hunters did a special on it. Haunted artifacts, and all. See if you find the ghost there yourself?
I went to an exhibition once and felt ripped off, there were very few 'original' items. Just an old stop watch found on a body. The rest was memorabilia from other ships and some costumes from the movie.
My uncle personally knew two survivors of the disaster (who were very young when they were on board). One was described as a 'mental case' but I guess you would be having gone through all that, probably for life.
My 2nd son & I went through the Exhibit in Denver, Aug. 2007. We couldn't take pics or video, but it was awesome! Loved the iceberg! My son loved the display with the small piece of the hull with a hole in the top of the case so you could actuallly touch it! My son could wiggle his finger & move the rivet. I wasn't sure he'd like it at age 11, but he still talks about it and is happy I added this to my faves. No stairs @ Denver, a Cherub & a pic of the stairs. I highly recomend seeing this! ^.^
Where did you recorded this video? I went to the exhibition in Monterrey, Mexico and it was great, but here they did show (for obvious reasons) the real titanic, just the artifacts...
thank you for sharing these beautiful images and footages..i really wish i could have been there to actually lay a curious hand on "the big piece", something of historical significance. And the music was as equally riveting.
u arent allowed it doesnt mean people dont. they never check

Did anyone notice the ad that said "Titanic 100th Year Cruise" yet. At the top-right?
Also, isn't it illegal to bring cameras into the artifact exhibition?
Ptylersworld 2 years ago 2
What a whiner you maker. The exhibition is the most annoying ever. It doesn't have a catalog you can buy. They are 10 exhibitions with the same name, all presenting different artifacts. It's a crime against memory that people can't even know what is in which. All this because the wrong people own the Titanic items. Good for them if people are able to bring camera in.
Neurozumim 2 years ago
It is, but after seeing this I wish I'd have had the guts to film it when I was there. Yes, each exhibit is different, there isn't just one. Also, I'm booking that anniversary cruise this week - can't wait! There will be a memorial service at 2:20am where the ship went down (or where it rests now, not sure), exactly 100 years to the minute that the ship slipped below the surface. I get chills just thinking about it.

U moron do u think they could build a 45000 tonne ship just by winging it... There are renderings of what every inch of the ship looked like drawn up by the team of designers they even disigned every light fixture and banister to match the decoration

there is no proof that the hallway looked like that

I saw this exhibition in Atlantic City in 1998 or so. I remember you could get failry close to the "big piece". Later both a friend of mine and my sister said that they had reached over and touched the big piece when no one was looking. Aaargh! Wish I had done that.
toobyu2859 2 years ago
I would love to go to the exibit in person, and to actually go down to the Titanic itself!!!!!!!
AaronMH9 2 years ago
Oh yea how long does it take to go through? Is there a lot of things there? Are u allowed to go up the grand stair case?
lakelandchief 2 years ago
I saw it about ten years ago when it was at the Rio in Las Vegas. They used to have professional photographers on site who provided clothing to dress up in. Then you could have a family portrait taken "aboard the Titanic". It was a really neat way to end the tour and I wish they still did that. But unfortunately, it's only there to look at now.
TheNallyChronicles 2 years ago
I'll say it takes about 1 hour 1/2. There's lots of personal objects and pieces of the ship engine plus china from the 1st and 2nd class. Tickets are about 20 bucks (there's a discount with the NY subway Metro card). You are only allowed to go 2 or maybe 3 steps up on the stair case (wich is impressive). Somebody would take pic for you that u can pic up at the end (like 15 bucks extra). Souvenir shop has replicas of the ship's china (kinda expensive) and the same kind of soap used on Titanic.
josealonso80 2 years ago
Ah I meant I thought I saw the outside of it looked like the ship its self and u walked through and see what ur showing. But its just like a normal building and everything? It's in nyc now.
lakelandchief 2 years ago
Did they really have like where u walked through like that where u where like on the titanic if that made since?!?!? Looks soo cool. Thanks!!
lakelandchief 2 years ago

One was described as a 'mental case' but I guess you would be having gone through all that, probably for life.

i wish someone would build a ship just like the titanic and have mini cruises on it to the same locations..that would be sweeeet.

thank you for sharing these beautiful images and footages..i really wish i could have been there to actually lay a curious hand on "the big piece", something of historical significance. And the music was as equally riveting.
