I've watched a few videos of trolling the causeway and stuff but I like your style a lot. I like that you're using such a short rod and it makes sense. I've got me a some hand me down trolling rods and some times they can be aggravating being so long. Hard to tell but are you using LEAD core line? if not what pound test are you using?
Dustin, cool video. Are you using lead core line? Also why the short snoopy rod? I've seen guys out there using thick rods cut in half. I've also heard to troll slow around 2 mph. It appears you are running slow. I've seen those trolling regulars pulling alot faster.
@NOturtle well the shorter rod makes it easier to reel in and let out because of the drag of the steal line on the eyes and it is a lot easier on your wrist when holding the rod for a long time. as far as speed you just have to find what they like it depends on depth they are at and how they are acting also depends on how your rig is set up you might have to slow down to get to bottom.
@mmizz2tz 15' by 48" alweld boat with a 25 merc. motor is slow but it does the job. it is actually my dads setup i have a bigger boat but its easier to maneuver in a small boat. not sure if its saltwater or not but as long as you flush your motor out it will be ok.

Damn that looks fun in a small boat all by yourself!!!!!!
I love it when it's calm and foggy, too.
