Great Action film from the 90's. Robert De Niro's character was smart and so quick-witted. Loved him very much. Jean Reno, Natascha McElhone and others did a great job too. Car chase scene was brilliant. Our modern Actions are horrible. Even B-grade films & Made-For-TV movies in the 90's were 100x better than modern so-called "Blockbusters" from Hollywood.
@CaptainHollister thank you so much for uploading I really do appreciate it so much. May God bless you with goodness in your life and may every wish and hope of a good life come to you and may fortune and good luck come your way.
Lol, they found you. We can no longer watch Scarface... Thanks anyway for taking the time to upload it. I think the big movie companies are paying people to search for illegal movies on YouTube, all day. The next time, you should give the movie another title. Call it "Q-movie", or "Carrot" instead of Scarface. We will find it, but the YouTube detectives just search for real movie names...
@Troublesome2008 I have heard that a good way to keep movies off the radar is to stop doing them at 9.59 and make them less (maybe 7;50 or something) and irregular, like one at 7.15 long, one 8.22 long.
Also, apparently, highly rated ones are flagged so neither like or dislike them.
and part on1/1 etc is a trigger. Try using "the start" or second one, or spelling numbers phonetically (ie ate, sicks, faw, eelevun, thurtine)
@Troublesome2008 Thats not true, the detectives are just poeple like you and me and can find hidden videos as easily as we can. There is no way of "hiding" and no one owns the internet.
Not if the M5's driver doesn't really know the finer points of evasive driving. It's a delicate balance. You drive too hard and too frantically, you'll end up like a turtle on its back, just like what happened to Deirdre.
I have owned a couple of e34 M5's last one being a rare touring version. You may have had a point if the american specialist driver had been driving the Peugot at that time but otherwise we need to assume the drivers were equal. So i say again the M5 would have been long gone before the first corner and even further in the lead after it.
This is one of those movies where it ends and you're still wanting to see more, brilliant film. Also, Jean Reno and Deniro are a great pair, would love to see them in another flick like this.
I don't mind people making commentsm as long as they are about the movie (even if those comments are scathing, and receive negative feedback), but if they are pointless comments, i regard them as spam.
Anyway, thanks so far for all of the comments about the movie, and for the rating it received. I never get tired of this movie. Jean reno and Robert De Niro should do double up again for another film together :-)
@CaptainHollister I tell you, this is one of the best movies ever made as far as intellect is concerned. They do not make movies like this. This movie depicts ways of life for some people, like the "ronin" samurai influence this movie has. To me, to even call this film a movie is disrespecting its foundation. This is more of a guideline for how to live, if you were to fall into the category of a mercenary.
Incredible how this great film just disappeared ... it's worth being on anybody's top ten list and isn't gonna go out of date. Cheers and many thx for putting it up, Captain. 5 stars and a favorite.
I saw that café from the beggining of the movie, few weeks ago when I was in Paris... Nobody from our group understood, why Im taking so much photos of that place :-D
@Ctiradloss My father was stationed in Villefranche in the early 1960's, so he spent a lot of time there and in Nice. We were watching this movie and he kept saying, "I've been there, and there, and there!" lol
Because he knows they are professionals in the cafe and may disarm him when they can if he is armed. If they take him over he can get out the back door, which he unlocks, then get to his piece and surprise them. If they take him hostage they will likely take him out the back door where he has a gun. Brilliant and complex.
The best part about the movie is, none of that is explained to the audience. The whole movie treats you like you're on the outside, looking into an underground mercenary operation.
I agree with you. That is the best part of the movie. Frankenheimer gives the audience credit for having enough intelligence to connect the dots rather than spoon feeding us. Personally, I think that is the best part of the movie other than the dialogue, car crashes, and intricacy of the plot. Just a damn good movie which is rare. I wish he were still alive.
Maybe he thought that they were going to frisk him, so if things went bad inside he could go out the back and get his gun. This is why he unlocked the back door, when he went to the bathroom.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah but the thing is if things go to shit and he has to run out the back door he won't have the time to stop, bend down and get his gun back. It's something that looks smart but makes no sense.
This seems more reasonable. He didn't plant it in case he got ambushed inside, that wouldn't make sense. He's going to meet them and assumed they'd pat him down for weapons. He planted a weapon so he could get it either in the middle or after the meet.
whithout doubt my fav movie, awesome actor , brill story and wait till you see the car chase through nice ,just watched leon a few hours ago on here 2 , jean renos the man.
No she's English although her mother is Irish and she was raised in England. She played in The Devil's Own with Pitt and Harrison as mentioned below by gwillo1.

Surely one of the best action films. Ever.
Adult, realistic, intense. With two of the finest car sequences ever put to film.
Although De Niro turns out not to be ronin, there is a disquieting sadness to all of the characters.
"I hurt someones feelings once."
Brilliant movie.

This movie is underated for a reason. People who truly "get" this movie will understand why.
This movie is not just your average movie, there is more truth to this plot than what meets the eye, almost like a movie behind a movie.
Most people just don't understand it, modern day samurai are today's soldiers, exepct without the camouflage.
